Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at this dental clinic. What was originally presented to me as a $2,329 treatment suddenly turned into an additional $1100 charge without clear explanation. The billing felt confusing, with hidden costs that were never properly communicated upfront. Transparency is essential when it comes to healthcare, especially with such high amounts of money. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the staff explained the procedures or costs in an honest or straightforward way. Patients deserve clarity and trust, but instead I left feeling misled and overcharged. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and to double-check every detail of the billing before agreeing to any treatment here.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff, particularly Michelle at Coolum Beach Dental are all super efficient and friendly. Henry my dentist, and Cathy his assistant are amazing and very approachable, knowledgeable, skilled, personable and understanding.

Very welcoming staff at the front desk, The Doctors and DA's are extremely comforting and let you know exactly what they're doing and are open for questions. Only dentist I go to now! We were very impressed with the modern, state of the art facilities and technology. We both felt very at ease and appreciated the time taken by Gemma to thoroughly assess and treat us, as first time clients. Nothing was painful… even the price! Coolum beach Dental will definitely be our regular dentist going forward.

Joey is caring, gentle, keeps me calm and informed throughout the process, and I no longer fear my dental exams or procedures. Negative experience: The male dentist was really rough and couldn’t administer the anaesthetic properly. I’ve never had this happen before and I’ve had significant work done. As a result, things went wrong with my jaw (and still aren’t normal), but their response was non- existent. Not sorry to hear, come in and we will have a look, but more like, it’s your problem. Had to go elsewhere to fix things up and pay more money. Also, the crowns are too close together so close I can’t get floss or a pikster in between. I wouldn’t recommend.

I can only say Henry and his team are by far and away the best dentistry team I have experienced. Henry's skills and his gentle touch has eased my fears about dentists whilst displaying expertise and rectifying mistakes from previous dentists I have seen. Negative experience: Dentist was very rough on my teeth, hours later and my gums are still in pain and I cannot clench my jaw. Was spitting out large amounts of blood. The cleaning is nice, but not worth the pain.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly, trustworthy and engaging staff who appear to genuinely love their jobs. I now live 35-40 mins drive away but continue going to Coolum Beach Dental for the excellent service! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a new Dentist - you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I was a little anxious about visiting a dentist because I had not seen a dentist for a couple of years. But John put me at ease straight away. He listened to my concerns and did not try to persuade me having any work done, although made suggestions. I live in Sydney but now plan to visit Coolum six monthly or at least annually for my check ups. It helps having a friend living at Coolum. John's nurse was also friendly and caring. The front desk receptionist was welcoming and efficient. As a new client I received a discount on my bill. Based on my first experience I would definitely recommend Coolum Beach Dental.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to give Dr Jason a big wrap after having a long appointment for preparation for a crown and a bridge this week. I have been attending Coolum Beach Dental for about 7 years now and have been a patient of Dr Jason since he started with this practice. He quickly puts you at ease with his gentle and caring nature and continually checks up on how you are feeling as well as keeping you informed the whole time. I wasn’t even sore that night as I have been previously. Thanks Jason and to all the staff from Reception to the dental assistants who make the whole experience lovely.

Negative experience: Just an update - I don't know why places like this act like they are physically unable to process instant refunds. It's 2024, you are making a choice, you can say whatever you want but it is up to you. You know it. I know it. Another reason I just made my next appointment with Paul Coolican :) I lost a tooth in a DV situation over 10 years ago. I had a bridge that I misplaced recently. It has been humbling not having a tooth for a few months. It took me that long to get my head around a few things. Long story short I have never had a fear of dentists. I don't go as often as I should because #lifeadmin but I am not scared of the dentist and I have a proven high pain threshold. I have done Tough Mudder, I have had 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my face and body, the pain medication ran out before my last operation was finished and we powered on. When I burst into tears in this dental appointment it was not because of the pain or any fear. I had communicated my concerns and needs to the lovely receptionist Jayden but when it came to my appointment I found myself being triggered in exactly the way I was trying to avoid. A week or so later I have worked out that it is because somehow, they managed to make me feel much like my ex husband used to. The dentist was gracious enough to offer to waive the fee but a sense of misplaced pride made me insist on paying. Now I have had time to think about what I paid for, I have requested a refund. Right now I am waiting to find out if I can have it instantly please - the way I paid it, or if it will take days or weeks. I will update the rating to 3* if I get that refund today. Why do I explain background and triggers if no one is going to bother listening? Do you just hear white noise when I talk? You might not care about the concerns that I am raising but as your customer I certainly do. I will take my custom back to Paul Coolican if he is available. Reception staff were most helpful, thank you ladies.

He is kind and beautiful, making me you feel at ease. If you are scared of the dental like me, John is definitely the person to go to, he has a gentle touch and constantly checks in with you to keep you at ease. He is down to earth, and is a perfectionist. John restored my teeth with beautiful natural looking veneers, my friends, family and clients can not believe they are not my own. After a traumatic accident I had when I was a child, I was left with a damaged tooth, that every time I looked at it, all I could see was the trauma caused physically and mentally. I have been to many dentists over the years, as a moved from place to place. John was the first dentist that said we can fix this, and he certainly has. I can not thank you enough John, wounds have a story, and you have released me from the that. I thank the entire team for taking great care of me and I will forever recommend Coolum Beach Dental.
