Negative experience: My experience at Magnus Medical Glenroy was very unsatisfactory. I found the service to be unprofessional and below expectations, and the fees charged were excessively high compared to other medical centres. Overall, I do not recommend this clinic to others.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr Anzella Dutta and am pleased with her care. Her calm and non-judgemental demeanour combined with her thoroughness are traits I value in a GP.

Negative experience: Dr Anzella - DO NOT USE!!! Before she worked here, previous drs were amazing & cared for their patients! She is against me speaking on behalf of my 16 year old son for a medical certificate for school & told me today that she cannot help me anymore because ive been sick! What kind of Drs do you allow to do this! Drs are suppose to help us..not turn us away when we're in pain & need help! Utterly disgusted with her!

Fantastic experience: Been looking for a doctor for a while now since our last one was so busy we couldn't get appointments in under two weeks. Finally found Magnus Medical and could make an appointment same day. My doctor spoke to me like a person, I had my 15 minutes, solved my problem and I am happy. My 15 year old son is so happy with this clinic as well. Finally we have a doctor we can trust and recommend.

Fantastic experience: The team were great as I was very unwell and luckily had a last appointment available and seen me on a Sunday night. Dr was very nice and so helpful to get to me well quickly. If there was one thing I could recommend is the heating was extremely hot even though I was feeling very unwell it may help patients if it was at a slightly lower temperature. Service and care has been excellent!

Fantastic experience: Recently started seeing John Yiannoulou and I could tell straight after my first session that my pain issue was close to sorted. He is incredibly talented and his background in Chiro and Physio makes his treatment holistic. He is super pleasant to chat to and really generous with his knowledge. We are soooo lucky to have him in the area. I never thought I’d say I feel 100% better, but here we are. ✨

Fantastic experience: I have found both doctors, nurse and reception to very helpful and with all my issues

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. After being hit from behind at a traffic light, my partner suffered whiplash and had some clear symptoms of a mild concussion (drowsiness, persistent headache, confusion, lagging vision, difficulty reading), as well as shoulder and nerve pain. Dr Anzella Dutta dismissed all of her symptoms and said she was fine! When I requested scans be done (of any type) Dutta -- ignoring the whiplash and shoulder injury -- said they don't do CT scans as there was no lump on my partner's head, so she couldn't possibly have a concussion. This is factually incorrect. You can have a concussion without a lump. Not only that, Dutta told my partner to take panadol and ibuprofen - you DO NOT take ibuprofen with a suspected concussion because it's a blood thinner. Dutta was uncaring and uneducated. I wouldn't be surprised if this place ends up in a malpractice lawsuit.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing John for years. It's so easy to make an appointment. The clinic is always nice and neat. Very friendly atmosphere.

Positive experience: My mother in her 80s is a new patient at the clinic. Unfortunately I am unable to attend every appt with her, so I need her Drs to be proactive. Unfortunately at her appt on Friday the Dr failed to write a prescription for a reduced medication dose, nor did the Dr give her a pathology referral for the blood test she needs in 3 months. I now have to send Mum back on Monday to request these items. It’s not ideal.

Fantastic experience: I have only ever had positive experiences with Magnus since I started going there. The doctors actually take time with you and listen to your concerns, the reception staff are helpful and friendly as well as the nurse. I now go to the chiropractor there and he is one of the best chiropractors I have had work on my body.

Negative experience: Dismissive and shows no signs of care or interest. Doctors don't even look up why you are there for a follow up visit for results. Asking me why I'm there? When Magnus is the one who called me to book it in. Then doctor just rattles them off. No effort to further explore what could be wrong. These doctors are just here to take your money and use zero of their knowledge to help you. Feel like I am just a number in their system to get in and out.

Positive experience: The doctors are good and kindly, but the girl at the front desk is stinky, not say hello, not thank you, she doesn't say nothing, just pay cash or card it's not a great presentation.

Negative experience: Dr. Ansari was rude and dismissive, insinuating I was imagining my illness. Clearly trying to rush through appointments with no regard for the health and concerns of his patients. I was then overcharged and spent a week following up to get a refund. I expected a better quality doctor at a full fee paying clinic.

Negative experience: This practice is a disgrace! I have a long term GP practice but they didn't have a doctor available for a few days and advised to book another local gp. I looked for gp practices with same-say availability and found this place, unfortunately. I saw Dr Ansari to to check on stitches which seemed to have been infected. He said he is prescribing a certain antibiotics and we discussed its effect amd interactions. I am in several medications and have some antibiotic sensitivity so this was particularly important to get right. When I presented the script to the pharmacist 20 mins later, I realised Dr Ansari gave me prescription to a different antibiotic than what we discussed. I called and asked to clarify. I was shocked whe I was told that I would need to book in a separate appointment, AND PAY MORE OUT OF POCKET, just to clarify the mistake which the DOCTOR HIMSLEF MADE. This was totally unacceptable!! A few days later when I saw my regular GP, the infection is still active, and he confirmed that the antibiotics discussed should have been prescribed, not the one actually prescribed! PLEASE BEWARE!! making a mistake is one thing, but then trying to charge me double just to clarify it, is simply disgusting. This should not be legal.

Negative experience: I recently visited Dr. Ansari following a referral from the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I had spent the entire night in the ER under observation for heart palpitations, where the medical team did a thorough job to ensure I only left once they were convinced I was safe. My regular GP was unavailable, so I had to book with Dr. Ansari and pay out of pocket as the clinic does not bulk bill. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. Instead of a greeting, the first thing Dr. Ansari said was to “keep this brief” because he was busy, implying that my visit might not be urgent and was a waste of his time. Having just come from the ER after a sleepless night, I was visibly scruffy, and it felt like Dr. Ansari immediately judged me based on my appearance rather than my situation. I came in with a letter from the hospital that included my reports, yet Dr. Ansari appeared to make assumptions about my intentions without even reviewing the details properly. His attitude was dismissive and judgmental, which was very upsetting given the circumstances. During the consultation, he took my blood pressure and casually remarked that it was high because I was “just upset,” downplaying my symptoms. When I requested a referral for a Holter monitor as recommended by the hospital doctor, Dr. Ansari reluctantly agreed, saying, “I’m only doing this because you’re asking for it.” I had to reiterate that I was relying on his guidance and that the recommendation came from the hospital. Shockingly, he dismissed their work, calling the hospital doctors “idiots” for not doing their jobs properly, and said, “Just get it done anyway,” in a completely dismissive tone. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. This is an extreme example of a completely unempathetic and rude doctor. Dr. Ansari perhaps needs to take a course or learn how to be kind to his patients. While he may have the medical knowledge, he completely lacks the empathy required to be a good doctor. Being kind to your patients is your job, not a choice you wish to exercise when you feel like it. To clarify, my issue is solely with Dr. Ansari. I read another review by someone else stating Dr. Ansari being dismissive. So looks like this isn’t a one off incident with this Doctor. I do not know how good or bad the other doctors at this clinic are as I have not any other consultations here. The wait times were minimal, likely because it is not bulk billed, and the reception staff were kind and professional.

Positive experience: The service is very good and there are no long wait times. It is a new clinic with modern facilities. The GP’s was very knowledgeable and experience.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Felt at ease on arrival The hours of operation are disappointing as it is hard to get there by 5pm when working in the city mon-fri. Closed on weekends...... Update on Medical Centre, now open on Sundays.

Negative experience: Paid $86 only to get home and realise he’s given me a half script…. So now I’ve gtta pay again to get another prescription to get the other half. What a joke and a rip off. Always money traps. And they still charge you a fee regardless.

Fantastic experience: Dr Arsllan Siddiqui Jr is the absolute best. He cares about his patients' wellbeing, is very knowledgeable and is a quick thinker. Also, the clinic is the cleanest clinic I've seen in Melbourne and the reception staff are very nice and helpful. Unlike fully bulk billed medical centres, I pay $30 for the appointments as I don't have a concession card, but it honestly doesn't feel like much at all for the great service I get provided with. I much prefer to pay here than be treated at most fully bulk billed centres which are always so busy and the doctors are always rushed. I highly recommend this centre for everyone.

Negative experience: Dr Sohail Siddiqui and his treatment is dangerous to patients well being. He will know you’re suicidal and desperately needing medical support but if you ever cry don’t bother seeing him it makes him uncomfortable. I’m unsure of how a father can treat young women like that in a work place that legally has to take care of those that walk in but sure haha.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Never go here. Waste of money. I have been seriously sick from Friday night. Went to see the doctor on Sunday hoping to get some good check up and antibiotics but I was sent home and told to take herbal tea and i was prescribed a puffer for throat. Since visiting the doctor on Sunday next 3 days has been worse and I have been treating myself from over the counter medicines. Also very unprofessional remarks regarding my wife in front of her who was sitting next to me in the room. She felt very bad. Waste of money. Waste of time. Never visiting them again.

The first contact in such a practice is invariably the reception, and the receptionist(s). I, the male in our marital relationship, have had reason to attend Magnus on a number of occasions in that time. I am very satisfied with the medical attention I have enjoyed, but it is surrounding the help and very professional attention I have received from one particular receptionist, who has acted in my opinion above and beyond her responsibilities, that I must make special mention. Very grateful, during a reasonably tricky family issue, now resolved. Many thanks.

Fantastic experience, the Dr spent considerable time with me and answered all my numerous questions, ordered complete blood test and also assisted in a specialist consultation. By far the best experience I've had in a medical practice. It's new, clean and also the receptionist was lovely she accommodated me in very short notice!

Fantastic experience: I've been to 3 other Doctor's Offices in Glenroy and none remotely compare to this one. Magnus Medical is clean and modern, plus the staff are efficient and friendly. Both the reception staff and Dr Arsallan were a joy to interact with. Best of all, I was out 10 minutes after my appointment, not still waiting an hour later! You just don't find bulk billing places run this well these days. This is where I'm going any time I need a doctor from now on.

Positive experience: Clinic and reception are fine. They look tidy and staff are nice. Pros: was able to book an appointment for the next morning and they bulk bill. Cons: They charge a new patient fee, had a bit of a wait despite the appointment being one of the first in the morning. Additionally, I do not recommend Dr. Syed Andari for pediatric concerns. He was dismissive of our concerns and assertions about our baby's discomfort and provided scientifically inaccurate information for relieving symptoms.

As of late however there’s hardly any doctors available and it’s hard to get an appointment. Need more doctors and Telehealth available. The quality however of everyone who works there is fantastic. 1 star is solely due to the unavailability.

Fantastic experience: State of the Art Clinic with professional staff ! Dr Hossam was empathetic and to the point. Responding Professionally. The Nurse pre checks patients upon arrival, you don’t get that service anywhere! Well not in my 56 years of going to the one clinic. I’ve now transferred my files over to what will be a new and improved system.
