Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful dentist practice. The moment you step through the door you are greeted by the amazing staff at the front desk. They are very professional and helpful. I saw Dr. Maddie she is a highly competent dentist who is very caring which makes the whole experience less stressful, also the nurses that were working with her were very competent. Fantastic experience: Maddy is absolutely fantastic. My mother Pieta has Vascular Dimentia (mid to late stages). Mum is quite irritable and anxious due to her condition but Maddy was so gentle and warm which made Mum very relaxed and at ease. Such a beautiful clinic. My Four adult children are all now patients and couldn’t recommend Ashburton Family Dental more highly to their friends especially with young families. In that time AFD has undertaken a major refurbishment incorporating all modern facilities. I found the practice recommended on the Clean Air Stars website which lists Covid safer businesses and I wasn't disappointed. Both the waiting room and consulting room have working HEPA filters and all staff are masked. What I really appreciate is she provides me with various options to resolve any concerns identified and we talk openly through each option to arrive at a decision I am comfortable with and well informed of. Her standard of work is excellent where I have had no issues with any procedure done (and I have had many) and referrals to other specialists have been first class. Fantastic experience: Couldn’t recommend the team here more! From the friendly and professional front team to the dentists out the back - this is the only dental practice I’ll trust. I’ve seen Charlotte for the last 2 years after having multiple non-consistent dentists. She is knowledgeable and attentive - her recommendations are in line with what I want to achieve and what’s best overall. She’s clear in communication and is up to date with best practice guidelines. Despite how busy they are, I’ve never once struggled to get an appointment as they’ve very accomodating and willing to work around my inconsistent schedule. I didn’t have great experiences of dentists when I was a kid and I normally find it all very stressful. James is calming, gentle, and very very skilled. He’s great with my children too. I highly recommend this surgery.

I came to see Robert and the rest of the team a number of years ago in need of some rather extensive dental work, and every step of the way they have been fantastic in guiding me through the treatment process. Always keeping me informed of what my options were at each stage and providing me with quality information with regards to any questions or concerns I had along the way. Rob was always genuinely invested in delivering a quality result in a way that put my mind at ease from the very first appointment. If we have had any issues with our teeth the staff have always found an appointment and accommodated us. The dentists are professional. However, a special shout out to Dr James Dawson-Smith.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Ashburton Family Dental for the last 10 years and could not recommend them more highly. I’ve needed more intensive dental treatment in recent years and have always really trusted Dr Charlotte, Dr Rob and the team. It is clear that they are an evidence based practice and using the latest technology and techniques. This is shown by the time they take to explain treatments or make suggestions on how to improve the health of your teeth. I can be quite anxious visiting the dentist but from the moment you walk in to the clinic and are greeted by the lovely Sara at reception, through to seeing Dr Charlotte and the dental nurses, you are very supported along the way. I also love the TV on the roof in the treatment room as a nice distraction. Would definitely recommend this team to anyone searching for a wonderful dentist

Fantastic experience: All the staff at Ashburton Dental are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. My family and I see Dr James Dawson-Smith. He is a true professional, and has been fantastic with our children. They still see him now, even though they’re not children any more! I’ve had a lot of dental work done recently with James, and what I really appreciate is that he steps me through what he’s going to do, so that I have a full understanding of my treatment, both at the time, and going forward. I would certainly recommend this Dental Surgery to my friends or anyone looking for a good Dentist.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. I've been seeing Rob and the team for more than eight years. They are always friendly and professional. Rob clearly keeps well up to date with latest research, equipment and dental techniques. In particular he helped me with a problem that if not addressed properly would have led to the loss of my front teeth.

Fantastic experience: My family, husband and young children have been patients of Charlotte's for over 4 years and are very happy with Ashburton family Dental. Charlotte is very personable, empathetic and fantastic at treating us aswell as being proactive with preventative measures. My children happily sit in the dental chair and enjoy their visits to see Charlotte. After moving around for the past 15 years and visiting multiple dentists, I can't recommend Charlotte more highly. I am currently undergoing orthodontic work to have my teeth straightened with James. This process has been fantastic and I am extremely happy with my results so far. James is also very personable and empathetic, 2 qualities that I find very important in any health professional. The practice itself is modern and tidy. The reception staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I came to Charlotte at Ashburton Family Dental 3 years ago as was increasingly dissatisfied with my own Dentist. Ashburton came highly recommended. I have been so happy and relieved to have found such a kind, professional practice. Charlotte has an incredibly gentle touch, is thoroughly professional, explaining all procedures as they come up to allay anxiety. I needed a root canal which I have always been terrified of, but Charlotte ensured it was a seamless, painless and highly successful procedure for me. A spotless practice with all the modern equipment required. Front of house staff are always very friendly, patient and assist in any way they can. Cannot fault this highly professional dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Ashburton family dental for 4 years now and have only experienced fantastic service from the staff behind the counter to Dr Robert Ong and his staff in the dental rooms. Dr Robert Ong always makes my children feel completely comfortable by asking them questions and having a few laughs with them before beginning to treat them.
