Fantastic experience: The entire team at 'Smiles Group Orthodontists & Dental Specialists' are absolutely lovely, so friendly and very welcoming. I never had a problem when going in for any of my appointments for the entirety of my (almost) 4 year journey. They constantly put my best interest at heart and did their absolute best the make my journey as smooth and simple as possible. They were very open and helping with any questions or concerns I had and improvised efficiently and effectively with any little hiccups I had. I always felt so welcome and comfortable to talk to any member of the team, whether it was the receptionist or the doctor. After getting my braces removed last year, I was so happy with the results we had achieved and I love my newly improved smile!! Recently, my retainer was accidentally broken and Dr McCullen has gone above and beyond to make sure my teeth remain perfect and get a new retainer ASAP! Love the work! Everyone has such a welcoming and happy persona! I couldn't have asked for much more. Thank you so much Team!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had an expander fitted due to a very narrow upper jaw and high palate. We’ve now completed the treatment, and the difference it has made is incredible. After several months of expansion, not only was there so much more space in her mouth, but the impact on her chronic sinus infections has been a godsend. She used to suffer frequent infections, including a hospital admission and numerous ENT visits, with surgery being seriously considered. After just a few months of treatment, she hadn’t had a single sinus infection — and still hasn’t — because the expander created much-needed space in her sinuses. Surgery was completely avoided. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Our experience with Smiles Group Camden was neither positive nor pleasant We would NOT recommend their services I’m unclear regarding what is rude and inappropriate regarding my review Perhaps it stemmed from my daughter’s review which was followed by a threat , defeating the purpose of being able to leave a honest review without ramifications In hindsight I think we can both agree it would of been better if I had taken my 2 children under your care to your competition Furthermore, a few negative reviews won’t hurt your business It’s how you react to them that can I wish you all the best

Negative experience: Highly overpriced. Not recommended at all. I am forced to edit my review since you have reacted with facts which are incorrect and you elaborated the details of the treatment as per your perception. Overseas treatment was not a failed treatment rather than retainer block breaking unfortunately. We agreed for $4000 treatment assuming it will be one time solution but after 9 month of treatment you guys conveyed now there will be start of braces treatment for another $9000 fee. We asked pictures taken so that we could have second opinion but you cited another fee showing agreement signed. I do not have any intention of arguing and counter arguing with your business on public platform and hence put a very concise comment but had to edit my review, when you shared one side of the story. You may completely disagree with my review and that is your right and I had exercised my right only. My Best wishes for your business!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had 3 children under Dr McCullen’s care now. My daughter is 17, my son 14 has just had his braces off, and my 9 year old son has just had his expander plate fixed. Fantastic experience: Smiles Group Orthodontics & Dental Specialists Camden gave me the ability to smile again without feeling self-conscious about my teeth, something I hadn’t done since I was a small child. Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed with Dr Stephen McCullen at Smiles Group Camden. Not only with my final treatment outcome - braces and Invisalign, but more so with the way he responds to criticism and complaints. Firstly I was met with generic emails basically offering to refer me elsewhere for my future needs. It was only due to my persistence that I received an addressed response asking me that I need to make a 15 minute appointment with the clinical team at a cost of $200 to voice my concerns. Now after spending $13,000+ to be treated in this manner is so uncaring, lacking empathy and purely greedy. I understand it's a business but when things go wrong - do the right thing. Dr Stephen McCullen's chauvinistic (bully approach) supports his immaturity. I would not recommend his service.

Fantastic experience: Dr McCullan and the staff at Smiles Group Camden were great with orthodontic treatment for all 3 of my children. Dr McCullan develops a great relationship with the kids which makes the anxiety of going there alot less stressful.

Negative experience: Smiles group was recommended to us from a friend, they seemed great through the treatment. Although it was hard to book appointments when the orthodontist was only at the clinic one day per week. We called up when my daughters retainers started to fall out at night, only to find out they had closed the Figtree practice and we would have to travel all the way to Camden to be seen, which is over an hour away! Once we got there reception kept telling us that our daughter had missed an appointment that they had emailed to us therefore we would have to pay for re-treatment. We maintained that we had no communication about an appointment, in which they told us the system was automatic and would not have made an error. I emailed several times to ask for proof that the email was sent in regards to the appointment… all emails were ignored …. $6500 down the drain. From our personal experience I would NOT recommend at all.

Fantastic experience: My dentist suggested envisalign to help me prevent chipping my teeth. At 70years old I still have a lot of years left so I agreed to using the Smiles Group. I met Dr McCallum and he explained the process and so the journey began. He attended every appointment reassurthe process was moving along well. The staff were very friendly and approachable. At one point with my teeth changing position I felt my jaw crunch. When I phoned I was reassured by the staff that everything was going well. After wearing the retainers for 12 months not only have my teeth moved to the correct position but also my molars are grinding food that I now realise was not happening as completely as it is now. I would recommend Dr McCullum and the Camden Smiles Group staff for professional dental treatment, The journey has been very smooth and I am now using a retainer which I only use at night.

I didn’t think they were too bad and I obviously just lived with them, until I decided to get aligners to straighten them up and feel better about smiling. I had them on for just over 12 months and was religious about wearing them, day in and day out, as advised by the awesome orthodontist Dr Steve McCullan. Fantastic experience: I recently got my braces off after nearly 4 years of treatment with Smiles. Whilst getting braces is normally viewed as a traumatic or annoying experience, I can honestly say that this was not the case for me! All apointments were quick and easy, and the staff were always fully transparent with what they were doing to my teeth and provided me with useful info and encouragement if there was ever any pain in the few days after my appointment. I had never visited an orthodontist before starting this journey with Smiles, so I was a bit nervous in the beginning. But safe to say that the end results were great! Positive experience: I took my son for consultation only ,it’s already cost me $487 … I bring my own X-ray and they charge for X-ray fee TWICE … this is the most expansive service I ever paid just for consultation …other orthodontist they only charge for $200 just for consultation.

Fantastic experience: Being a woman in my late 40's and was never confident to smile due to having crooked and gaps in my teeth. I opted to have the Invisalign aligners to correct them.
