Negative experience: From Great Experience to Nightmare I had excellent experience at this clinic when removing my left wisdom teeth - the dentist is skilled, communicative, and professional. That's why I returned on 27 May 2025 (3.30 - 5pm) to remove my lower right wisdom tooth. Unfortunately, my regular dentist wasn't available, and I went to another dentist - which became one of the worst medical experiences of my life. 1. Wrong tooth removed & Shocking Failure： - The doc suggested removing my upper right wisdom tooth since I’m gonna remove my lower right one. - She successfully removed the upper tooth but FAILED to extract the lower one (the actual problem tooth) - Then casually told me to come back THE NEXT DAY because “another patient is waiting!” - after I'd already been numbed for both extractions! 2. Dangerous Negligence: - The anesthesia blocked my right nostril completely - I couldn't breathe through it (WHY NUMB MY NOSE? I didn’t have the numb feeling of nose while I extracted my left upper wisdom tooth.) - When I alerted doc, she IGNORED my concern and proceeded anyway - The assistant was painfully slow with instruments, prolonging the ordeal 3. Deceptive Pricing: - Only mentioned complexity for the lower tooth - Hit me with DOUBLE the expected cost for the upper tooth at payment - No prior warning about the upper tooth being "complicated" The Trauma: I've never been so terrified during a dental procedure. Between the breathing issues, the failed extraction, and the chaotic environment, I nearly wet myself and had to fight the urge to flee to the bathroom mid-procedure. I felt like a lab rat rather than a patient. Warning: While PS has good dentists, a dentist‘s combination of poor skills, unethical billing, and dangerous negligence makes her someone to avoid at all costs. I'm now seeking another clinic to fix this botched job.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a crown procedure with Dr Zena and I was very satisfied with my experience. Dr Zena was very professional and compassionate when I visited the CBD practice, fitting me into her schedule quickly. During the treatment she checked on how I was doing and she worked very efficiently. The practice explained costs upfront and overall I was very happy with the pain free procedure.

Negative experience: My dentist was lovely and efficient however don't expect the receptionists to answer any questions with patience or understanding. Ursula in particular was so rude and sarcastic when I asked for clarification about something. I only came here for my health fund but now will be changing as I had such a horrible experience.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Pacific Smiles CBD for a while now. I have always had positive experiences with the lovely ladies at reception and Dr Alexander Mitchell. Unfortunately my last visit was to the contrary. Dr Eamon Yu had a rude tone, was passive aggressive and went overboard with the mansplaining. I get that we all have bad days and inadvertently take it out on other people, but it's still unprofessional and it really put a dampener on my day. I could see the dental assistant felt bad about how he was acting and was being extra nice to try and compensate. How awkward.

Negative experience: I had terrible experience with one of the receptionists yesterday. She made me feel discouraged about attending my appointment since I changed my PHI and pointed that if I attend the appointment I will have to pay "a lot". I asked politely if she can provide me the estimate so I know how much I will potentially be paying as I spoke to my new health insurance and they said I have extras to cover for this and if I can know the estimate cost they could tell me how much I will be paying out of pocket however, this receptionist just told me that "it's going to be expensive" without giving me an estimate cost as apparently they don't have a fixed rate for their service and the cost is variable. I have been a patient of them for few years now and I was willing to pay out of pocket but because of her attitude I'm not coming back. Zero star for this.

Fantastic experience: I came today for my first check up and clean here to see Dr Eamon Yu. From getting checked in by the first receptionist to booking my next appointment with another receptionist, everything was great. The doctor did a thorough check-up and explained all the fine details for me to understand what's happening with my teeth and what's to look out for. They were very transparent about the items included in my check-up and put great effort in the teeth cleaning. The dental nurse/assistant was lovely too. I felt great taken care off and I will be back for my next check-up in 6 months with the same Dr.
Fantastic experience: I had all my wisdom teeth pulled out by Dr Safa and she was so caring, attentive and explained the entire process thoroughly. Reception staff was very friendly and all my appointments were on time. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr Michael Tran is indeed a valuable staff to the Pacific Smile Dental Clinic at The Gallery in the city. Though most of the dentist employed there are good but Dr Tran looks further than the current problem- always asking questions & recommending alternate prevention treatment & products that was suitable for me.

Fantastic experience: Dr Koosha Hooshmand and Tanya performed a great dental check up and clean. They were thorough in both their service and explanation of the procedure I was undergoing. Fantastic experience: Cannot thank these guys enough, son had an issue with tongue getting stuck on his braces late afternoon while we were visiting. Was seen at the end of the day at very late notice, all fixed with no issues.

Fantastic experience: I had a chipped front tooth which was previously done by another practice with a filling which wasn’t a good colour match for my tooth so I decided to come here. I went to see Dr Sean Yu who was very friendly, patient, matched the colour well and I could tell wanted to do a good job. Happy with the outcome :) thank you!

Fantastic experience: It's a conveniently located dental practice. It's on first floor in Galleries building @ 500 George Street. 2 min walk from Town Hall station. The dentist I saw (Dr. Alexander Mitchell) was amazing. Very professional, friendly and competent. What impressed me most was his attention to detail. He was absolutely thorough with the work he did on my tooth. I will be going back and will highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Pacific Smiles Dental Sydney in George Street enough. No one like to go to the dentist …. but my experience with David Hatten was great. Fantastic experience: I found Pacific Smiles as they work brilliantly with my private health fund. I’ve seen Dr Michael Tran twice this year — once for a regular check up and X-rays and once yesterday for two wisdom teeth extractions. Dr Tran is calm, kind and passionate about his work. During my extractions in the chair, he kept me informed about what he was doing and I felt completely safe in his hands. He also explained ways to relax myself during the procedure which was excellent. Post-op information was thorough and he took the time to answer all my questions. I’m seeing him again for the last two extractions in a few weeks and I am at ease knowing what to expect. 10/10!
