Negative experience: After being drawn in by the “no gap” clean and check-up promotion, I ended up paying more out of pocket than I ever have before for the exact same service, despite having the same level of cover. There is no clear communication between NIB insurance and their dental clinic, and I was left to deal with the confusion. The clinic has suggested it’s related to my extras limits, but I still have available dental limits that were not applied to my treatment. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: Had a really great experience with Dr Christine Baek , she was really pleasant even towards the end of a long day, thorough and had very gentle hands. I barely felt any discomfort. Will see her again for my next appointment

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr Sweedan for about 18 months now, and he is an excellent dentist. Kind, patient, and a great communicator. Recommended. Update: I recently saw Dr Annie Han - she was great, recommended if looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: One of the cleanest and calmest dental clinics I’ve ever visited. Dr. Tikku was on time, very patient, and explained everything clearly. The clinic has experienced dentists who truly care about their patients, and reception staff who patiently answer all questions. The atmosphere feels safe and welcoming — something you don’t usually expect from a dental clinic. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Don’t bother coming here if you want quality service It has been a terrible experience so far. I had booked in with a dentist to have my chipped porcelain veneers fixed. The first dentist did such a terrible job; added a composite bonding filling over my tooth way bigger than the chip, changed the tooth shape made it longer and not straight at all!!! I was shocked. It took many attempts to fix it!! Are you kidding me. He couldn’t see it wasn’t straight and drilled into my porcelain veneers!!! Then he took off the filling and did it again, he drilled into the centre of my veneer creating a dip I then spoke to the practise manager and saw another dentist to fix it. She fixed it however literally a day later the fillings broke and my porcelain Veneers have broken even more I called the practise to book in asap. They told me I would need to pay to get it fixed by another dentist!!!! I asked the receptionist to talk to the practise manager as this is unacceptable. I could get it fixed by the dentist that made the fillings broke but had to wait over a week. It’s now been a few days and my teeth just keep breaking and breaking. This is an emergency job and they still can’t fit me in until the end of the week. I am absolutely shocked and disgusted with the service. Edit: thank you Dr Maham for fixing this. You did a great job. What an experience otherwise

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr Gupta never fails to deliver. I always leave the practice feeling confident and comfortable. A visit to the dentist can often be a terrifying and unpleasant experience, but Dr G is so easy to talk to - his knowledge, support and honesty is what makes the experience, dare I say it, enjoyable. Plus his tunes slap.

Fantastic experience: I came into my initial appointment today literally shaking with anxiety because I hadn’t been to a dentist in years and had neglected a lot of things. Dr Yasir and her assistant were absolutely incredible at easing me - they were both incredibly kind, patient and gentle. They did such a good job and the Dr was very clear in explaining what they were doing and what needs to be done in next appointments. Would 100% recommend Dr Yasir and am looking forward to coming back :)

Fantastic experience: No gap dental care and no compromise on service either!

Negative experience: Super unimpressed. Had multiple services that went wrong. 1. Needed a filling for a chipped tooth. Dentist advised me I’d need a root canal and a crown. I said no and in the end got a filling. Just over a month later I’ve had to go to another dentist and have that same tooth repaired by another dental provider who noted that I had decay remaining and a hole left unfilled. The whole filling given to me by your dentist needed to be removed and redone. The dentist (from another clinic) who repaired my filling also advised there was no way I would need a crown or a root canal and that my tooth was otherwise healthy. 2. Needed the wire to my retainer fixed, said she could do a temporary fix however the fix literally only lasted one day, when I was advised it would last at least a month. $170 for a day. I submitted the feedback form they sent out after my appointment raising that the temporary fix fell apart and requested a callback. No one called me back. I have tried to call twice and been put on hold and hung up on. No visible email to contact either (probably because they don’t care about your complaints). Wouldnt recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Great dental care, great beside manner, and great value (especially if your insurance is with NIB).

Negative experience: Made a booking and gave my provider info and details. They took the info and i waited for 25 mins and they didn't tell me that the heigenist I chose wasn't covered. $160 bucks out of pocket. And they knew full well as they pushed me to rebook afterwards with a different covered heigenist, noting that my gap was coz she was a casual worker there. They all acted dumb Appauled! Dont trust! Dishonest!

Fantastic experience: I recently had two wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Nancy, assisted by Naz. Naz was lovely - friendly and kind and put me at ease, and Dr Nancy was amazing. She had the teeth out quickly and with no discomfort. Thank you! The reception staff, as always, were polite and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sood is a very experienced professional with great advice and a a warm personality too. Lorna, who works with Dr. Sood is also such a bubbly personality, and overall experience at this centre was smooth. Every dentist that came out to see a patient came out with a great smile. Alex at the reception is really efficient too and got me all I needed for the day. Only thing I'd recommend for this centre is to put the data entry into your patients' hands - either use QR codes leading to online forms to fill in or provide devices for new patient entries and history transfers from other centres. You'll have less data transfer mistakes this way.

Fantastic experience: I have recently started attending Nib dental services in the city. Everyone working there have been so friendly and helpful. Dr. R. Gupta is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever been to. He is always so polite and very professional. He explains everything so well, and always ensures that you've fully understood the procedure he is about to undertake. He answers any questions you might have, and makes you feel at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. R. Gupta to anyone looking for a, very knowledgeable and very professional dentist.

Positive experience: Hi Nib, is there a way you can communicate with patients via email? I’m finding it difficult and not feasible to make contact via phone calls that are unanswered. I’ve found that when I leave messages calls are not returned. I need some further information for an appointment and I also need to be sent some details electronically - I have searched online quite a bit for for email contact details with no luck. You have three receptionists on duty in Melbourne so I imagine responding to emails is possible. What is your nib melbourne clinic (collins street) email address? Could you please make this public to facilitate communication to customers as is common practice? Thank you. Fantastic experience: I have been attending this surgery for some years now. I recently saw Dr Gupta for a check up and clean. A professional man who was very courteous. He took some time to enquire about my medical history and current hygiene habits. He passed on some very valuable information. The cleaning process went extremely well and I was extremely satisfied with the work Dr Gupta did. I also saw him a couple of days later to have a filling repaired. Again Dr Gupta was professional and made me at ease during the procedure. I was more than happy with the work performed. Dr Gupta is a knowledgeable dentist and takes pride in his work. He is friendly, well mannered and a great dentist to have work on your teeth. I recommend Dr Gupta and I will be seeing him again in the future.

Negative experience: The indian receptionist told us that we don't have to pay for anything if we are a nib member but we were told to pay for almost 300 dollars after the session. It turns out that our health insurance package doesn't cover it. She could have checked our health card first before proceeding.

Negative experience: I will not be going back to be treated by Dr. Suda. Following a check X-ray she recommended a crown for a crack even though I had had no pain. A gum infection with the temporary crown, ongoing pain from the final fitting and then the decision to redo the crown. Another X-ray where she got the X-ray clamp stuck in my mouth and then 2 hours drilling to remove the crown and then ongoing pain in the days following. Back to see her again, visit 7 and either have a root canal, which couldn't guarantee a fix or an extraction. Went to an oral surgeon for the extraction. Can you blame me.

I had two fillings done with a previous dentist in Ringwood in November 2023 one of them done for the third time at the same place ( the filling kept coming out) Dr Deepthy showed me my X-rays and explained to me what was wrong with the 2 teeth, the last filling was done on top of a decay!! She how she was going to fix it. The rest of my teeth are healthy, I will coming back to have my check up and clean next week with her ☺️ Very happy with the clinic prices even the whitening products are reasonable price and half of the price of the other clinic in Ringwood.

Negative experience: Worst dental clinic I’ve ever seen in Melbourne. I had a tooth filling last week for which I can fully say that was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. The dentist did the filling (was a dark filling not even my tooth’s colour) and polished my tooth too much like half short of normal tooth. When you became a dentist except the medial part you’ve to take care of aesthetic part, imaging filling one of your back teeths with dark filling, having it short and smiling? That’s ridiculous and yes, they did it to me. I still have pain because of that process and their justification was like “you’ve to put a crown” like why??? When I already had my tooth. I asked them to re make it again and they treated me so bad by saying that they can’t do it as I wanted cause the tooth will break down. If tooth breaks then that’s my problem, their obligation was to do a good job and meet the clients expectations right? I booked at another dentist and he got shocked of their terrible job in my tooth. I don’t recommend that clinic at all

Fantastic experience: I met Dr Nathaniel Nguyen a few months ago to have veneering fixed for my teeth. He examined my teeth, showed me what he had done for his past patients before we got down to discuss my needs. From closing gaps between teeth, shaping of my teeth to choice of shades, Doc gave me advice and explained the procedure clearly. Dr Nguyen showed both patience and enthusiasm. He made efforts to make temporary moulds so I can get a feel of the new Veneers he designed for me and I could give him feedback on adjustments for my final set. I am so happy with the final result . The new set of veneer looks and feels so natural. Beautiful job!. For the first time in my life, my front teeth were set back and shaped nicely and the bites are good. The gaps are gone. I can surely show off my bright smile ! I am so glad I met Doctor Nguyen. He is meticulous with details, have a good sense of aesthetics. He listens to his patient's needs and gives clear advice. I like the way he treat his patients and his colleagues. (He actually ran off to a nearby chemist to get me a nasal spray for my blocked nose due to heyfever before the procedure). This doctor goes out of the way for his patients. The hours spent was a labour of joy.. so worth it. A big Thank You! Good job Doctor Nguyen ! Doc Nathaniel Nguyen told me this is the dentistry he set out to do when he decided this was what he wanted to do with his life. Fantastic experience: For parents of anxious kids, I cannot recommend Dr. Eabha Cronin more highly. Kind and communicative, Dr. Cronin put my son at ease the second he walked in the room and throughout a tooth extraction. Genuine, thoughtful and warm care makes treating kids a whole lot easier and Dr. Cronin exemplified the best of this.
