Negative experience: Attended Casey Dental as new patient on 17th June 25 for introductory check up cleaning and descale. Experienced severe pain when Dr started cleaning. He eventually numbed the area. Was only able to complete right side. It took 4 - 5 hours for numbing to effects ease??? Returned 18th to complete cleaning of left side. Requested no numbing injection. He stated that he gave me a double dose of numbing on 17th Completed cleaning with little discomfort. Wanted to charge me additional fee for completing cleaning Only when I objected to a further fee did he waive the fee... would not recommend this dentist...

Fantastic experience: Casey Dental were recommended by a family member. Being over sixty my own teeth (those that were left anyway ) had done a lot of work so my treatment plan was extensive and complicated. My first appointment with Dylan Kurtz confirmed the recommendation to go there, despite it being on the opposite side of Melbourne, a two hour return trip Some people say they listen. Dylan actually does. He asked questions, made suggestions and offered alternatives (each with its associated benefits and potential limitations as well as the implications for initial and future costs and dental care). He enabled me to make informed decisions about a significant investment of time and money I cannot think of a single concern about the outcome. My “new mouth” is fabulous. It suits my functional and cosmetic needs and (weird as it sounds) my personality. I didn’t want people to have to wear sunglasses when I smile but when I mention that I’ve had my teeth “renovated” they invariably say that it not only looks great but that it suits me Dylan was supported by a great team too. Everyone at reception and in the treatment rooms was friendly, welcoming and professionally supportive whether it be making appointments or working directly with Dylan. Even when I was travelling overseas between stages of my treatment they found ways to stay in touch and on one small issue, find a practitioner in Spain known to one of the team in case something needed attention (it didn’t) I would give one piece of advice. It might have been made worse by the complexity of my treatment but the accounting and treatment plans were cumbersome and sometimes confusing. Multiple pages of items full of long codes and technical jargon caused problems for me, Dylan and administration staff. When modifications were made to my treatment it took a lot of time and effort to work out which quotes applied to my work I understand that CDG are changing to “plain English” treatment plans, at least for cases like mine. If I were to go through it again I’d insist on one. Despite everyone there being helpful it was frustrating Nonetheless I would not hesitate to recommend them based on my experience over more than a year. The team are technically and professionally fabulous. They were also EXCEPTIONAL value for what was an expensive but in hindsight a very significant life decision

Fantastic experience: Dr Dylan is a great dentist. He doesn’t do work for the sake of it and provides advice and options for you to make the decision. I have just had 2 temp crowns fitted. Fantastic experience: I seen dr Dylan Kurtz my front teeth we’re not in good shape and recently chipped one and had a weeding on in a just over a week Dylan went out of his way to get me in and stayed back just to make sure he could have them fixed before the weeding for me he done a amazing job as well and and is easy to chat with about what he is doing my experience with Dylan and nurses made. Negative experience: I recently came to this clinic 2-3 months ago as it was recommended by my friend. However, they did very terrible tooth filling. I got 3 tooth filling done by Dr Alina. Reception lady not friendly and don't give any empathy to suffering client and say they WONT fix it. Dentist should help instead of making patient suffering and not fixing it. I suggest “Don’t come to this dental clinic. It’s extremely the worst dental clinic that I ever been to”

Fantastic experience: I had done my tooth extraction at Casey Dental yesterday. It was a complex job as it was the wisdom tooth and it had broken into half at the top. It was strongly anchored with a very deep root. The extraction was done with utmost care. What I want to talk highly is the post operative healing. I had done extractions at other places where I had to endure severe pain and had to be under high dose of painkillers for at least one week. However yesterday I took two painkillers and today haven’t taken any. The acute pain is no more. This is my second extraction at Casey Dental under Dr Shannon. The last time was a year back and I healed completely with only two painkillers taken only on the day of operation. I can’t thank them anymore particularly what I had gone through during earlier extractions at other places.

Negative experience: What an embarrassment , i have never heard or experienced anywhere that if the patient is 10-15 mins late then not only customer services would refuse to attend the patient but also apply penalty fees , without realising the circumstances of the patient This happened with me two times , I was refused to be treated and was asked to pay $100 first time and second time $50 Do the clinics have this sort of wierd policy ? Whoever has put this sort of policy in place , I would really like to talk the senior management about this and raise my concerns as a patient , it’s embarrassment for the patient and for the staff too Kind regards

Negative experience: I have been to this dentist many times but this time I had a very bad experience. I called and book an appointment just for general check up and told them I don’t want any procedure to be done on my teeth that will cost me. I went on that day the doctor didn’t inform me that the X-ray will cost me and just did it. After that they asked me to pay $90 when I told them I don’t want any procedure to be done that will cost me during the visit. I really want my money back since they didn’t inform and it’s their fault. Even the staff accepted that it’s their fault but made me pay that amount.

Fantastic experience: Casey Dental Group has changed my whole perception of attending the dentist. From someone who was terrified and refused to go alone, I can comfortably go and know that the staff are accomodating, supportive and very skilled. I have not once felt discomfort or pain while attending my appointments for various treatments, they are extremely skilled with providing proper pain relief and ensuring comfort. The dental teams have also always been very efficient. Each time I have been over the years I have been so impressed with the whole appointment process, the spaces are clean and presented well, the dentists are clear and informative. There has been a previous issue with a misplaced booking before which they rectified straight away and were still able to help me be seen to prevent me from being in pain. The dental nurses have also been incredibly helpful and understanding when I have had to bring my baby with me to an appointment. Their post surgical care is also exceptional and the dental nurses have always been so helpful when needing advice. The whole experience leaves me feeling confident and happy to return each time. Could not recommend them more, I always mention them to friends and family looking for a dentist to attend.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t even bother. Staff are insensitive and rude. Don’t waste your money on poor service and rude staff. The dentists on site are a complete joke, management team are rude and unorganised. Hadn't updated my phone number on 3 occasions. Will force you to get Invisalign to make more money. Staff don't communicate and do not communicate with other staff members. I would highly recommend avoiding this dentist practice!!!!!!!! Such a disgrace !!!!!

Our Invisalign Consultations are FREE and no patient is ever pressured to accept treatment.

The success of any Invisalign treatment is affected by the compliance of the patient. If the treatment isn’t followed it doesn’t work.

If a patient goes missing for 12 months without contact, does not contact the practice and cancels their appointments we can not successfully treat them.

Negative experience: Do not use dentist Amirah, she extracted 2 teeth of my daughter without numbing properly and my daughter felt all the pain of her teeth getting pulled out. She left my daughter traumatised! Did 2 extractions 1 filling within minutes like she's in a rush and gave my daughter no time in between procedures. I don't think 3 procedures in 1 day was necessary in 1 day andwas a money making tactic. She also treated the assistant very poorly, both my daughter and i noticed this. We are never going to see this dentist again! I believe Amirah is a narcicist who is only doing her job to make money without any empathy or care for her patients, she needs to be thoroughly investigated. Very dissapointed and upset that this human can be so cruel!

We understand that Dr. Ameera recently saw your daughter for the planned treatment of 2 teeth extractions and a filling. Please be assured that the planned appointment time length allowed ample time for these to be completed. It is very normal for baby teeth to come out quite swiftly. Our doctors aim to try and complete the procedures as proficiently as possible to avoid causing any anxiety to children.
We can confirm that your daughter was very numb prior to starting any treatment because we followed our routine probe test procedure to test if she could feel the pinch of the probe and she couldn’t. Please note it is normal to feel pressure of a push/pull. This was further confirmed by the attending Dental Assistant. Reception staff also reported that you gave some water to your daughter after the procedure which she wasn’t able to drink without spilling due to the fact that her mouth was quite numb.
In terms of the costing involved, we followed the Child dental benefit scheme schedule for your daughter. Please note that these prices are set by Medicare and strictly adhered to. These prices are also significantly lower than our standard pricing.
Dr. Ameera and our managers attended to your concerns immediately in practice and apologised for any miscommunication. Furthermore, Dr Ameera and our reception staff also tried to contact you the following day to do our courtesy check in call but these attempts weren’t acknowledged. Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the laboratory, because it did not do my prosthesis well, I left it there at the dentist to send it back, because it did not do the job well and only after 2 days he told me that they will fix it. They don't do the job right, they just don't care! The price is very high (I had to pay 250 dollars for a minor thing). I am very unhappy with the way the lab people work: so I am 2 and a half days without a prosthesis because of their carelessness. Now I'm curious if he'll do it right the second time! I do not recommend their lab Totally unhappy with the lab. I sent the prosthesis to be repaired twice and they did it badly. I want my money back and I'm going elsewhere. The dentist told him how to fix it and still to no avail. They have no idea how to work, they are very incompetent

The practice’s charge of $250 for the repair of the denture is used to cover the costs of the courier used by the lab as well as the materials and labour of the laboratory and technician. As a practice, we don’t make any profit on denture repairs, we like to provide this service to help our patients.

Negative experience: I and my husband came to see dr Kevin for a cleaning & check-up. We consider the cleaning and polish he did very superficial and poor quality compared to other clinics we've been to before. It took him just a few moments and he was done. He made sure he charged us for all he could charge on Bupa so he made the most of it charging Bupa over $600 for 1 hour of work. Whilst focusing on charging as much as he could, he missed the quality of the cleaning we came for. He was also very evasive when he explained the 4 fillings he recommended to do(6 months ago at another clinic I was not told those any of those issues were present). This made me not trust his services and questions the approach when it comes to putting customer's health and interest first. This experience made me feel like he was on the clock for ticking as many fees as possible in 1 hour. What made me question even more his work was the fact that he asked me if I could possibly be pregnant before taking X-ray and I said it is not excluded. Before I knew what was happening he said we'll do it anyway as you need it. I was not necessarily needing it and if I was pregnant we would get in trouble.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ragy was amazing!!! My 2 yr old fell and broke his tooth. I had seen a dentist before who refused to treat him and referred me to a paediatric dentist who insisted General anaesthetic was the only option to remove the tooth. I saw Dr Ragy for a second opinion and can’t believe how amazing he was. Had the tooth AND root out and my 2 yr old son didn’t even notice! I can’t thank you enough!

Negative experience: Worst experience I’ve ever had. Was meant to have porcelain fillings replaced on both front teeth due to one breaking, both are not the same size after being touched, there is now a dent where the tooth was broken - the whole reason I went - so they didn’t fix it. Both are uneven and don’t match, shorter than I wanted and none of the discolouration that was meant to be covered or the areas where there are shallow nerves have been adequately covered like they were last time. And the excuse I was given was ‘they’re sensitive teeth anyway, it’ll always be like that’…. It wasn’t that bad or like that before you touched them so please don’t lie. For something so simple I will never be coming back, I’d hate to know what more extensive work might turn into. Wast of nearly $1000 just before Xmas when it’s needed most.

Negative experience: Awful customer service, I was shocked. I was a client here up until today...The bar glued in behind my top teeth had one of the glue blobs disconnect. I had this put in years ago at a dental clinic that no longer exists. The receptionist checked with the dentists and advised no one would book an apt with me. The dentists refused to do any work on "braces that were the work of another dentist". I explained that i was not wearing braces now, the bar has been in place for years and that the dental surgery no longer existed where i had work done in my teens but it didn't matter one bit. It's unglued from my front tooth and unless it's re-fixed quickly it will twist. Appalling.....they were my dentist now and just told me to go elsewhere. I won't be back for any cleans or checkups at casey dental

Fantastic experience: Dr Melanie Cole is incredibly reassuring, taking you through each step of the process and checking to make sure you’re comfortable with the treatment plan. I really appreciated being given options for ways to move forward, and the flexibility of payment options meant I didn’t have to hold off on getting important work done. Plus, yes, very gentle with the needles! The assistants are also really friendly, reassuring, and helpful in answering any questions.

Negative experience: During the journey of my braces , I can say the Dentist ( DR J ) was not talkative. He was not nice and quiet rude to his helpers I think he was just there for the money, please be a proper Dentist who talks about their patient about their braces like tips, advices etc and not uncommunicative. I've heard this same thing from my family friends who also has Dr Jason as their dentist , very disappointing. Every 6 months I would get a cleaning done for my braces, the cleaning Dentist is way more motivated about his job, made you feel comfortable and talkative to the patient and very nice guy ,he had a beard and glasses so pretty sick. As a result, I'm posting this comment so that others can avoid situations like this. Dr. Jason can also read this and may take it on board if he wants to improve. Just please fix your staff attitudes I'm not paying this much for such bad service.

Negative experience: 2 star for the dentist’s service. But felt overcharged. First time here as my previous dentist moved away from the area. Have health insurance but this one visit just wiped out the whole years’ worth of check up and clean quota. Health insurance quota is enough for 2 check and clean visits yearly with my previous dentist and still have left over. But this visit, not really with explanation, they took X-rays - 3 different ones and so all came out from my health insurance. Deep cleansing done (but It just felt like what my previous dentist did!!) and they tried to get more from my health insurance and when I saw the gap payment $400+. I had a shock and cashier explained that the dentist just want to see if my health insurance would pay more else she won’t charge me for it!!!!!!! Just ask the question when booked to see dentist there. Also, ask questions before dentist do anything, you might be charged for service that you might not want or need. Quite disappointing.

Negative experience: I felt Dr Ameera Parveen had no interest of patient. I felt she was more interested about explaining deals about x-trays and clean ups. I chose to go Casey Dental because I was in pain, my dentist not working till Feb. I felt she was promoting new joiners have this and that promotions??? I was in pain and she was saying there is nothing that she could see it causes pain except sometimes it happened with Sinuses. I kept telling how the pain come from this particular tooth which was filled already. she just took that filling out and put another filling, the one like that I had it already. It did not make sense what she did but I hope my pain will go away some reason. May be that is what I wanted to think. However, once local anaesthetic wear off I was back in square one. pain was there like just before. charged me $ 325. I was not worried about money, all I wanted to get some help from experts but I didn't feel any help at all. Dr Ameera was more interested of explaining the invoice. As a patient I didn't feel like Dr Ameera didn't care at all. Therefore I'm posting this comment along with my invoice so people can avoid situation like this.. Also Dr Ameera can see this and may be take on board if she wants improve.
