Fantastic experience: I began with Guardian Medical (Showgrounds Village) in 2014 when I was living in Edgewater (Maribyrnong). Twelve months ago, I moved to Brighton, but I still drive to Showgrounds Village; what more can I say? Great front desk staff, great doctor (Mark Kearns) and excellent Allied Health facilities. Very happy!

Negative experience: Frankly these people are disgusting. Avoid at all costs. I needed to remind them of the law before they would forward a copy of my health report for example.

Fantastic experience: An upgraded facility with bright waiting room. I booked an appointment on-line - the system was easy to navigate and I was able to fill in my details for their records. The receptionist was extremely professional and helpful.My first appointment with the doctor went very smoothly. I managed to get two vaccinations on the day and I am able to have blood tests there with the associated Pathology group. I will definitely return there for future doctor's visits.

Negative experience: Terrible and rude receptionists. Put me on hold then hang up on me multiple times I have called a total of 11 times in the last week to FINALLY get through to speak to someone today about the results of a blood test that was done 2 weeks ago... However, Mina the nurse was really helpful and actually helped me. Overall will not be coming back.

Positive experience: The doctors I’ve seen have been kind, take the time to explain things to you properly. I get the impression they’re under staffed around lunch times so the wait times r long and the receptionists are stressed and take it out on customers. I’ve seen this when I’ve gone in person and experienced the wait time over the phone when I call around that time. The receptionist Janine was rude over the phone today. I called up after my over the phone consult to ask when my medical certificate would be emailed and how to pay as it had been an hour and I hadn’t heard anything. I was on hold for about 5 minutes I finally got through and asked about my medical certificate and if I could pay thru bsb as I didn’t want to give my card details out. She told me a flat no and then asked me for my card details. Gave her the details then she said thanks bye and hung up on me as I was still talking and without answering my question. I had to call back and wait on hold again for another 5 minutes finally got back in touch i asked again when it will be sent through as my boss is waiting on it and she said in a sassy tone that she is sending it now and didn’t acknowledge that she hung up on me or that she was being rude. I wouldn’t usually complain I know what it’s like to work in reception but I still don’t take it out on customers.

Fantastic experience: I am happy with the admin service. The website is easy to book online. It has details of GP expertise . The centre is spacious and clean, easy to find carpark. The GP has access to my e health records so I do not need to bring copies of my health history.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with service. As our regular Dr was away on holidays we managed to get an appointment with Guardian medical, the Dr we saw was very through, helpful & friendly.

Fantastic experience: The team were very good and made the whole process very easy for me, which is great when you're not feeling well. I like that they can also do blood tests with the on-site pathology, as it really takes the pressure off by being able to do everything in the 1 visit.

Negative experience: In last year I got a blood test done here, and was told based on the results that I needed to get a Ultrasound testing to confirm if there’s no serious problem. Never got the referral to the test, I called back to the clinic and the receptionist just told me that the doctor didn’t leave a note and she would be on leaves for two weeks, 1 year later she hasn’t heard! I can only assume I am alright then What a waste of time and money for nothing, why is it so hard to find a responsible clinic these days??

Fantastic experience: I followed my doctor to guardian medical and as always it’s the best service. The clinic is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and understanding. Definitely recommend this practice if you need a family GP

Fantastic experience: Dr Wei Ooi was brilliant, very friendly and knows his stuff. Guardian's site tells you to register on the phone app to allow easy check-in but the app isn't available in Australia.

Negative experience: We had an appointment this morning to get the meningococcal b vaccine for our baby. After a nearly 30 minute wait the nurse greeted us coldly which I paid no mind. However she then had no idea what type of vaccination it was, had no knowledge on the vaccination schedule, was confused with meningococcal b and ACWY vaccines. She proceeded to bring up the vaccination schedule where I had to point out to her which was which and she was still misinterpreting it. After then getting advice from someone else in the clinic, she then proceeded to tell me I had to go to the pharmacy to get the dose myself and bring it back (which would be nice to know at either the point of making the appointment or checking in and waiting for 30 minutes). I had lost all confidence and there was no way I was entrusting this lady to inject my child and promptly left. We need to know that we are dealing with competent medical staff especially with our children and unfortunately this nurse was the opposite of that.

Fantastic experience: Really like a lot of the doctors at this practise - our whole family come to this practise

Fantastic experience: I attended today to undertake some tests and the two nurses on duty demonstrated such care, patience and understanding. The same also goes for the reception staff. As a regular patient of Guardian Medical, Showgrounds my GP, Dr Kearns always makes the time to explain and will thoroughly investigate any issues, if clinically justified. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I called around 2.30 and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude . She kept sighing and she didn’t want to help at all and then she literally hung up on me . She should be fired.

Fantastic experience: Guardian Medical Center Flemington takes care of my entire family's medical concerns for the simple reason that Dr Hester Freeman is on their roster. Dr Freeman is knowledgeable, empathetic, and cheerful. Since we met Dr Freeman I've felt confident the people I love are in good medical hands.

Negative experience: Dr Mark Kearns didn't engage with our child like other doctors and we won't be booking with him again. Some previous doctors drew a smiley face on a tongue stick or had some toys. He did neither.

Negative experience: Nurse/s overdosed my Mounjaro jab. Would complain to the health commissioner, but going by their pathetic 1.2 rating, what would be the point? I am definitely not going back to Guardian Medical. Also, was told by the nurse, Angela on the first attendance that I would be sent a YouTube link, a good source to look at so that I could self-administer dose. Plus, be shown hands-on how to self-administer the dose on the second visit. I never received an email or other communication about this. On the second visit Angela contradicted herself, and said she would not feel comfortable doing it that way. So, I would have to come back once a week to have the jabs. This is just another tactic they use to create revenue through the Medicare system. I would give a negative star amount, but the system does not allow for this. Not impressed!

Negative experience: Opening times say they are open at 8am.being trying to call for the last 15 min and its saying they are closed.
