Fantastic experience: I had been with NIB Hunter’s Street Sydney for past 10 years. I have never encounter any bad experience. Great staffs, the dentists I had was really good and professional.

Fantastic experience: Dr MacDermott was thorough and honest in her service as well as kind and patient. I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Sam Yeung, very patient, skilled and experienced dentist. He is my regular dentist for last 10 years.

Negative experience: The staff are good and the service is consistent but WHAT IS WITH THE NEW LIGHTING? I've been going to this clinic for over 10 years and in the last 12 months they have drastically changed the lighting in the waiting area. If you want to feel like you're being abducted by aliens or fancy listening to over stimulated children screaming as a warm up for any dentistry you're about to receive- come on in! The lights aren't just blinding, they are migraine inducing. My next step after writing this review will be to google if I can submit it for any hostile architecture awards. I feel seriously sorry for the reception staff who have to endure it all day.

Fantastic experience: Nib dental centre is surprisingly good. I was a bit hesitant to use a "chain" as I was concerned about continuity of care. Fortunately I've been able to see a well trained and well informed dentist who is easy to understand, available outside office hours, who has provided me consistent care for 18 months. I find going to a bigger centre positive too, because they always have someone available to answer your call quickly, and you can book online. Parking is a bit of a pain, even on weekends. It's best to access this location via Martin place train, Martin place metro, Wynyard or bridge St light rail or various buses.

Fantastic experience: My new favourite dentist and favourite place to use for all my dentistry needs. I have recommended it to my colleagues already. Conveniently located and the staff are very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend going here for a second opinion or just going here in general because they've saved me thousands of dollars, and the doctors are great, especially Dr. Juan R. Montoya, an expert in teeth removal. He removed a wisdom tooth over 18 years ago and just a tooth recently that a dentist in Queensland did a poor job on... so thanks guys

Fantastic experience: The team at nib Dental Care Centre and was very friendly and professional. Dr. Ann Park provided me with a great advice and made sure I was feeling well and comfortable during my dental appointment and took detailed pictures of my teeth condition and x-rays for my file during my first visit and explained causes of some issues and came up with solutions and made a long term plan for my dental health improvement.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly receptionist (Mary). Dr. Akila V made me really comfortable to ask questions about the dental procedure that I am planning to undergo. He explained to me the procedure and gave me management tips that I can do at home. I have been to a perio consultation in the past but they never gave me the explanation and the tips that Dr A gave me.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending NIB Dental Sydney for years and it's all because of Dr Chris Ha and the amazing team of assistants and administrators. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: On 22/05/2025 I had an appointment at NIB Hunter st with Tania Gerzina at 10:30.When I arrived for my appointment (which I had confirmed twice) the receptionist couldn’t find any record of it.I complained to the manager who couldn’t explain why my appointment wasn’t in their system.I had to wait for an hour to see another dentist.As I am an older person and had to travel more than two hours to get to my appointment on time,this incompetence was very traumatic and stressful and I can assure you I wasn’t smiling when I left Pacific Smiles at Hunter St.

Fantastic experience: The clinic has a great atmosphere and a highly professional team. Dr. Priest is always attentive, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly as he works. He’s not just a skilled dentist but also a great educator, helping you understand how to improve your dental health. The assistants are equally caring, and the front desk staff are warm and welcoming. The premises are spacious, quiet, spotless, and conveniently located. A great experience all around.

Fantastic experience: Haven’t been to any of the centre for years due to the location. The visit to the regular dentist around my area is getting more expensive, so was thinking to see one in NIB will be cheaper as I am with NIB. Read some bad reviews online and got quite anxious before revisiting. But it was not what I expected. The X-ray equipment was high tech. Dr. Park was very gentle, friendly, and professional. She explained my problems with so much patience and in detail. The dental assistant and the other staffs are nice. I could still have access to the internet while I wait. The whole experience was wonderful. Will visit again for sure.

Negative experience: Listen up everyone, Genuine comment here. I have visited this centre for 6 years and I am always satisfied with NIB. Most of their dentists are professional except for one. That doctor is Chris Ha She is very dismissive, has aggressive attitude, very rude. My partner doesn't understand english quite well so I asked her again regarding her diagnosis and she refuse to further explain and send us out as if she doesn't have any time for us. This is very unprofessional and she lacks skill in diagnosis, no accountability, have zero responsibility compared to other NIB dentists I've seen. But this isn't as bad as what other people experienced. In the reviews someone also complained about her where she just dismiss customers without doing her job properly. I can see that this doctor is only interested in filling her bookings without doing her job, only care about getting paid. NIB should fire her, she is making NIB and other NIB dentists look bad. Her mistreatment of patients has been going on under the radar for years you'll be getting less repeat customers if you keep her. Patients be very careful not to book this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Peta Coulter is a must-see dentist! My partner recommended her, and I couldn’t be happier. She’s incredibly thorough and has a caring approach, perfect for anyone nervous about visiting the dentist. The clinic was clean and efficient, and even though it was busy, I didn’t have to wait long. The reception staff were friendly, though a more streamlined check-in process could make things smoother. As a bonus, NIB covered all the costs, which was fantastic as a member! Highly recommend Dr. Coulter and the clinic for excellent care.

Fantastic experience: I am not (at all) a fan of the dentist but Dr Tania Gerzina made the whole experience relaxed and stress free. She asked Qs and listened to the answers, didn't try to up-sell services, or ask leading Qs around when the last time I had visited a dentist (which I really hate!!). Her services were fairly priced (& given mine included an X-ray I was expecting to need to re-mortgage my home!!). HIGHLY recommend her.

Fantastic experience: All the reception staff are really nice and friendly, the dentists and the nurses are all kind and professional. I've had my wisdom teeth removed here, also have had 2 splints made to combat my teeth grinding and several fillings- all have been good experiences and have walked away satisfied with their service. I've seen several dentists there over the last 5 years and cant complain about any of them. Some are definitely more thorough than others, it's more experience based in my opinion- I definitely recommend NIB dental in the city.

She went above and beyond by checking with the doctor and promptly getting back to me with answers to my questions via calls and emails. I truly appreciate her dedication and support! A Big Shout out to Dr.Juan Montoya for accommodating my request on a very short notice. I truly appreciate his flexibility,care and expertise. I had my wisdom teeth extracted four years ago and just recently had additional teeth extractions with the same Dentist. Both experiences were excellent.The dentist made me feel comfortable throughout the procedures. I appreciate the anaesthetist who took care of me during my dental surgery! They were professional, reassuring, and made the whole experience so much smoother. The Nurse was very kind and professional. Highly recommend this practice for dental needs!

Fantastic experience: Dr Shota Shimada is excellent. Amazing bedside manner. Takes the time to explain everything with patience. Is honest and doesn’t recommend work than isn't necessary. Just had a filling recently which was a completely pain free experience. With topical local anaesthetic applied to the gum first, I didn’t even feel the injection of local anaesthetic into my gums. Unlike my previous dentist he spent a long time making sure my bite felt completely normal before I left, which means I won’t have to re-attend for the filling to be shaved down like I have had to in the past with my previous dentist. He even replaced the previous filling which was protruding and allowing food to catch, allowing for a smooth gap between the teeth. I hope to see Dr Shimada as my dentist for life. 10/10

Negative experience: Told me I was too late for my appointment when they rescheduled because the doctor was unwell and did not offer any remedy.

Negative experience: The dentists and assistances also most of the receptionists are amazing, however, there is an asian lady middle aged, she has no clue about NIB policies, rebate, and a NIB member is billed there. yesterday I had a confusing experience during the payment and she sounds rude, constantly repeating that I should pay 156$, when I was asking why there is a gap payment, as NIB member I shouldn't pay gap in NIB dental, also that the lady who was making this appointment told me you won't pay gap, and she was pretending to be annoyed and said we don't say that, like I am lying.... I think the front desk of the NIB dental should have not only friendly and polite people but also they should know the basics regarding the NIB insurance and when asked why extra payment or is it charged to major or general, they should be able to answer.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, efficient and professional. Dr Park was great, she explained everything that I needed to know in an easy to understand way, and made my normally tense time at the dentist far more relaxed. I didn't feel rushed at all during my session, and more informed after my visit. The reception staff are efficient and its never a hassle to book or reschedule an appointment. All cleans are free with NIB basic extras cover as well.

Positive experience: Been using NIB dental for 2+ years and Dr Park is good. Explains things clearer. Bad part is HORRIBLE mobile reception in the dental centre. Two floors down from street level and cannot use my mobile phone while waiting for appointment!! This is with Telstra!!! No free guest wifi provided. Time for NIB to fix this.

Fantastic experience: Dr Juan Montoya is just great, he's removed my 4 wisdom teeth alll in one go, took him no longer than 25 minutes after the local anaesthetic took effect (5-6 mins) - although i believe it depends on the teeth but he's very skilled. Explained everything very well before and after the procedure, and made me fully aware of what to expect and what to do in the following days. Very professional and highly recommended for any tooth extraction.

Positive experience: The location is tricky if you are driving there because there is no parking. The experience can be amazing if you can find the right dentist. They have some of the best and worst dentists in the country.

Negative experience: I will never go back to this Dentist over the phone the receptionist are so so unhelpful and rude, they don’t know what they are talking about. The dentist my mum saw created tiny gaps on her teeth and then refused to fix or admit to it. In person the receptionist never greet and are extremely blunt and also rude when booking in they get frustrated. Their customer service is horrible and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I see Dr. Peta Coulter and she is fantastic. Always takes time and care to listen to my situaiton, and explain everything she is doing and why. I love having my xrays and record on file to long term dental managemeent.

Negative experience: Disappointing experience. Understandably my appointment and doctor got changed 3 times during the week due to absenteeism or sickness. That’s no problem. The problem was I was scheduled for a 09:30 appointment and received a phone call at 09:20 advising the 3rd doctor who was assigned for my appointment was also sick. How does this happen 10 minutes before my appointment. There was no solution and no real concern and I was offered an appointment 1 hour later. That didn’t suit, I traveled 30 minutes for my appointment to find out it was cancelled 10 minutes before. I hope NIB learn from this, unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Very knowledgeable, professional, and made the experience I had (two wisdom tooth extractions) very painless. Everyone there from the dentists and dental assistants, to the people in the reception area... They were all so good, professional and very helpful. I highly recommend this place. Best dental service I have ever had.

Fantastic experience: My first time at the dental clinic I could not believe that it was a Saturday anyway, I have no bad comment to say. Dr Ann Park is knowledgeable, caring and very gentle while working on my teeth. Highly recommended her. Also, the same with the dental assistant.

Positive experience: The main issue with this place there is no wifi or reception when you get in. Usually you need to wait for 10 - 20 mins or longer, that’s why would be nice to have wifi. Especially when you need to get back to work and need to notify that you will be late. Otherwise all good.

Fantastic experience: Efficient and friendly service. My dentist, Eric Zong was a great communicator, putting me at ease at all times. Very capable and honest and definitely not pushing for unnecessary additional dental work

Negative experience: Rapidly vanishing customer care on the ground and online,try 25minutes holding on the phone hung up on then repeat. NO shop fronts to physically visit so you can over ride that appalling noise your tortured with while no one answers your call. I’ve just about had enough of these corporate clowns,it’s getting parity with the practitioner bills,time to flick these honks.

Fantastic experience: I always highly recommend this practice. I have been coming here for years and they are very accurate! I tried a different practice not related to nib recently, and the dentist there overcharged for cleaning and blamed my sore tooth on food being caught. In fact, it was an infection. Something that the experienced dentist in this centre was picked up on immediately. I don't trust anywhere else (I tried Parramatta a few years ago but didn't like the experience from the reception and the dentist).

Fantastic experience: I've seen Dr Eunyoung Chris Ha at NIB Dental (Hunter St, Sydney CBD) twice and would highly recommend. Great dentist, but what I appreciated was her chair-side manner - empathetic, kind and caring. Great communicator, takes the time to explain the diagnosis and required treatment.
