Fantastic experience: The dentist is highly professional with excellent technique — the whole process was comfortable and painless. Communication in both English and Cantonese was smooth and effortless. They provided clear explanations and were very warm and attentive. The results of the scaling, root canal treatment, teeth whitening, and crown fitting were all excellent. The fees are reasonable — I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Had such a great experience at Sunnybank Plaza Dental. Even though they were super busy they still managed to squeeze me in which I really appreciated. The place is clean and the receptionist was so kind and caring, didn’t rush me or make me feel uncomfortable at all Dr Carmen and her assistant were absolutely amazing. So gentle and explained everything in a way that made sense. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients Everyone was really polite and made me feel looked after. Definitely recommend this place if you're after good honest dental care !

Fantastic experience: Me and my kids been coming to Sunnybank Plaza Dental since 2020 and have always received wonderful care here. The staff are kind, professional, and make sure I feel comfortable during every visit. They take the time to explain things clearly and never rush.

Negative experience: Avoid like the plague, these people are evil. The lady dentist, Carmen Chong, attempted to convince me I would need a root canal, upwards of 2k, then quoted me $160 verbally for an extraction, I went in for the extraction to find out I had been booked in with another dentist, Allen Wan, and the intial verbal quote was a 'miscommunication' and the actual cost would be $450 (for a single tooth) after I had already been sat down in the chair and told to rinse and spit into a plastic cup. after enduring several heavy-handed attempts by Dr Wan to remove the tooth, eventually he gave up and cut the tooth in half, without further anesthesia - incredibly painful and uncomfortable experience for what should have been a simple tooth extraction. I was also not prescribed any pain relief for this procedure, something that lead to a night of insomnia and excruciating pain. Then came the attempt at a refund from my insurer, when going to pay - I was informed that my health insurance fund was 'down' and they would be unable to provide me with a refund to my account, I would need to take a photo of the invoice supplied, and then upload it to my insurer so as to have the refund processed - I attempted to question this process and was told, "we are too busy right now to deal with this, we will call you another day to figure it out" whilst insisting I pay the full $450 on the spot. I contacted my health insurer and was informed there was no issue on their end, so went back to dental reception with this information and was told after some deliberation, to sit down and wait for the receptionist to come back, after she came back I was told to swipe my bank card in order to receive the refund, I did so and did not receive any funds, and still have not as of writing this post - I contacted my bank and was informed this could take 3-5 business days to process, whereas each and every other time I have engaged with a health service, be it dental or medical, I have received on the spot refunds. On top of the amounts i discovered i had been billed in the past for services such as 'oral health instruction - $40' this has been one of the worst experiences I've had with any supposed healthcare professional in my entire adult life.

Fantastic experience: A Dental Dilemma with a Happy Ending! At exactly 4:30 PM today, disaster struck. My filling came off! Panic set in as I imagined a weekend of discomfort, unable to eat properly. I immediately started calling dentists around Brisbane, hoping for a last-minute appointment. The earliest I could get? Monday next week. That meant days of dealing with a sensitive tooth. Frustration started to sink in. Just as I was about to give up, I made one last call sunnybankplazadental. I explained my situation, expecting another rejection. But to my surprise, they said, “Come in, we’ll take care of you!” Even though they were already busy, they welcomed me with kindness and professionalism. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the treatment was top-notch. Before I knew it, my tooth was fixed, and the discomfort was gone. I am truly grateful for their generosity and willingness to help. Thanks to them, I can eat again. No more weekend of suffering! If you ever need a great dentist, I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday my tooth was extremely painful, as I hadn't seen a dentist in thirteen years due to a childhood experience that left me with a psychological shadow of dental visits. After calling and explaining my situation to the staff, they quickly arranged an appointment for me. Despite a short wait, my problem was indeed resolved very well, and the dentist was very professional and the staff was enthusiastic as well.

Negative experience: Very bad service with terrible attitude from Dr Carmen Chong. Over the phone appointment they told me the price for x ray would be 50 dollars, but when you actually lay down while they getting the xray prepared they suddenly tell you oh the x ray you need would actually cost 120 dollars. The old Lady (Carmen Chong) was starting to argue with me saying stuff like: well this is how much it’s going to cost now, are you going to take it or no? Then she left shaking her head like it was my fault that I wasn’t happy hearing a different price over the phone.

She is patient, thorough and experienced and ensures all patients are comfortable whilst under her care. Team member Ivy is also very polite and professional, she assisted me throughout my appointments and ensured that everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend this clinic to those looking for exceptional service and especially those who are a bit apprehensive of visiting the dentist. Negative experience: Clean. The receptionist is nice. But This is the worst dentist I have ever experienced. Give me an x-ray I did not need. They want me to get another x-ray I do need, but I need to pay extra fee. I refused, so dental may be unhappy, I clearly feel like that unfriendly treatment attitude during treatment process.
