Fantastic experience: George is my dentist and I can't recommend him highly enough! But I wanted to make special mention of Josh who has given my two boys the best possible start to their dental journey. As they are only 2 and 3, I was probably more nervous than they were about the process but Josh made the whole experience super fun and comfortable for them. We have seen him multiple times now and there have been no tears or push back, just actual joy to go to the dentist again. They trust Josh and feel safe in his care and the room, which is incredible. Huge thanks to George, Josh and the whole Smileology team!

Fantastic experience: I visited Smileologie and saw Josh today. I came in very nervous and couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! The staff at Smileologie were all so friendly. I would highly recommend.

Positive experience: I went here for one specific job. Rather than do the job (which id have done myself if I had the right angles and tool to work with), they smacked my teeth with metal rods they prodded around, all without my consent, not once did they ask if I’m wanting or ok with them to prod around for some time with stuff in my mouth looking around scratching and hitting in my mouth on my teeth… They had to talk to me for ages just about this one little job I wanted done. I cannot believe there is anything to consider in shaving the very very slight edge off of a tooth side…. I had observed clearly it was cutting me in semi sleeping consciousness, the dentist told me maybe I’m wrong, and another dentist told me maybe I’m wrong too about the same thing, they seemed like they didn’t want to do it for me, they seemingly did it only-just (as if they had to muster all their will and go against what they thought they should really do). Worse: they told me they can fix this one filling issue, which was was attempted multiple times by multiple dentists and I had decided I will leave it because the story was that any further drilling would very likely be root canal time… instead of just leaving me to my own autonomy, and doing the one simple small 30-second job, the senior dentist and the dentist I saw both seemingly waited for me to agree to come back and get this filling redone (I told them I prefer to leave it and just floss). They said like I have to do it… I disagree… and I find the time they spent in my mouth hitting me scratching me humiliating me and wasting my time, was bs dentistry ego overreach. “You don’t come here and tell us what u want us to do, we tell u what is to be done for you, BUT if we do just do what u want we will first fish around in ya mouth and hit you metal rods asking if you’re ok with that and scratch around and stare into your mouth and document your teeth, AND THEN we will try to tell you how little you know and that we might not do what u want us to do and will tell you you’re nuts if you don’t book in for another appointment before actually doing the 30 second job you apparently so clearly have realised needs doing for yourself…” 30 seconds of work from them, under my instruction, has stopped the issue I so clearly had mapped out. Could’ve just been that simple, but was a weird dentist ego power trip “this is who i am you’re in my domain now I’m not just some tooth grinder…” kinda vibe… Imagine going to a doctor, a 33 year old non–mentally-challenged man, and saying “i I have a dislocated toe” and rather than reposition it and send u on ur way, they put u on their bed, put u through a 10minute whole body examination, and then a senior doctor comes in and tries to tell you to come back and he will work on some issue you had already been working on with multiple other doctors and had decided yourself upon one conclusion… it would seem they are desperate to charge you a full work over fee, or they are upset that you tried to tell them you only want their service under your own terms and conditions and discretion (as if maybe you don’t care about their medical opinion in general, you just want them to perform a particular service). After all their checks they insist on doing (including invasive highly disturbing things), they conch to book another appointment and act like they might try to relocate your toe, they say maybe you’re wrong anyway and it’s not dislocated, then they finally do it and it takes 30 seconds and you’re out feeling like you had to pay homage to some egotistical overreach dominance-signalling ritual (which involved making yourself uncomfortable). It would seem this is a case of “you don’t even know how much I know, you don’t know what’s good for you only I do, I’m going to pressure you into letting me do things to you…. I’ll just simply go ahead and do these things without any formal consent and if you blow up and that it’s too much then maybe I’ll just send you home and won’t do what you want because you too are mentally unwell to be treated…”

Fantastic experience: I’ve been looking for a dentist for some time since my regular dentist retired. Dentists I did see I wasn’t really satisfied with. My daughter suggested I use her dentist which I did. Well, I have found my dentist! George and his team Katie and Toulah are warm and welcoming and instantly made me feel at ease. I recommend George Lathouros and the team at Smileology.

Fantastic experience: I was a dental nurse in the dark ages and saw the same dentist my whole life until he retired. I was referred to George and the team and could not be happier.. He only does what needs to be done, and does it so gently I’m in awe of how easy it is. He has the craziest, modern technology that makes things so much easier than when I was in the industry and highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom tooth surgery and removed two wisdom tooth in one sitting by Dr. Summer Tso. She is very professional and very informative from the start and after the surgery. She handled everything very well. I never been so calm and comfortable visiting dentist. The staffs are very helpful, professional and always follow up giving tips/info after my surgery.

Fantastic experience: Needing an emergency tooth filling before a flight smiley fitted me in quickly. The use of modern photo Techniques that let you see as they go, and honest advice on work that needed and what can be fixed through proper brushing and fluoride treatment so no cost, Gave me lots of confidence. The staff are extremely professional, friendly, and Non-judgemental. Highly recommend this establishment.

Negative experience: Feeling quite disheartened a I have just left having waited 40 minutes with no one coming out to say anything. It would have been nice to know that they were running behind when I first arrived as I understand these things happen. Reception who is usually lovely came out (not to see me) and I asked to reschedule - was met with rudeness which was surprising and nonchalant non caring attitude which is very different from what I’ve experienced here. I previously left a 5 star review. I had a prior engagement which I wasn’t able to cancel and had to leave. She said it would be another 15 minutes - but an hour wait time is a little too long. Disappointed.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I arrived to the time I left I felt at ease and being looked after by the wonderful staff and comfortable in the surroundings. This was my first time at the practice and found the parking easy at the rear with only a short walk to the entry. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. The dentist (Joshua) was on time and discussed everything that was to occur during the appointment and talked me through all aspects of treatment. As this was my first time I had Xray taken and what appeared to be the latest technology I was able see them on the screen above me as well as showing me close up video of all my teeth explaining along the way all the good and not so good that was going on in my mouth. I had never had this level of service or explanation at any other dentist in my life. The treatment went well with no pain at all and even when it came time to pay I didn’t feel it hurt either. I was very impressed with everything from start to finish booking in already my next appointment in 6 months. I highly recommend this team and business if you are looking for a dentist. I was the last in my family to start going to this practice, wish I had have taken their advice to switch sooner.

Fantastic experience: I recently took 3 of my kids (10, 5 and almost 3yr old) to do a check and clean at Smileologie. We got lucky with Dentist Josh who made the kids feel at ease, made the whole experience fun and educational (I learnt alot). He walked me through all the kids teeth and what to expect and how to care for them. My 5yr old son had a few holes to fix. I felt more anxious then he did due to my childhood dental appointments. But Josh just made it so easy and relaxed that I had nothing to worry about and my son didn't even shed a tear, he actually looked forward to the visits. From walking through the front door and back out the team here have been so great, I cant thank or praise them enough. My kids literally made themselves at home that I had trouble taking my youngest out of there. Best part is they accept CDBS so all our appointments were covered by Medicare.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment today (I haven't been to a dentist in a very long time) and I was really nervous. The staff are so kind and really work hard to make you feel comfortable. Josh is amazing. He is so friendly, gentle and clearly explains everything (and doesn't make you feel bad if you need an extra break).

She and her dental assistant (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name) have amazing bedside manners which really helped calm my nerves. Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr. Joshua today and contrary to how I usually feel after a dental appointment, this one left me feeling quite positive - equally as good as getting my nails done which is all thanks to him. I really appreciate the time he spent educating me about my condition, answered my questions and passed on some very helpful tips and recommendations. I was also grateful for the sensitivity he showed by constantly checking in with me and offering frequent breaks throughout the procedure (if needed). I felt quite safe and it really helped me keep calm. I cannot recommend him and the team of dentists and dental assistants he works with enough, all of whom work to a very high standard and are extremely polite and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back to Smileologie for all dental matters.

Fantastic experience: I have only used this dentist once before, a few years ago. Even so, I rang and said I have a broken tooth and they put me in on the same day. The office ladies and George were extremely friendly and approachable. George was so good I didn't even feel the needle and whilst he worked, I felt no pain or discomfort at all. My tooth was fixed at an affordable price compared to other dentists I've previously used. George advised me that I could wait until next year to check my teeth again so there was no pressure to keep coming back. I visited for my 3rd molar(wisdom teeth) removal and they were so caring as well as professional. The place is clean and friendly as well. Quite near from the station - just need to cross some roads. From the reception, they will call you to make sure your schedule and also call you after the operation to check if things are okay. Dentist and all the staffs are willing to explain the things very nicely as well. I really feel that you need this kind of people for medical issues as when things are urgent, we need someone very responsible and professional as well.

Fantastic experience: I came in for a free consultation on a quote I recieved from another Dentist. During which, I decided I would continue my treatment with Dr George, regardless of price. He then quoted me some work, which seemed very reasonable, in comparison to my previous quote. I had previously been consulted by another dentist in the area who was quite rushed and charged me $90 for less service, than smileology provided for me free. I know nothing about dentistry, but I know a lot about people, and I feel very comfortable putting my health in the hands of Dr George.

Positive experience: Even though George follow's the Brisbane Lions, he well and truly makes up for it by being an excellent dentist. (As well as following the Bronco's.) I have had a lot of dental work done over the last 35 years and George is definitely up there in my top 3. I have other work to be done over the next 6 months so an update review just might tip George into 5 star territory. I might forgive him for being a Lions fan as well. Fantastic experience: I'm new to Brisbane and chose to try Smilelogie as my new dentist. I had such a great experience with the whole team. I usually feel anxious at the dentist however George, his assistant Lyn and receptionist Elizabeth all put me at ease. Fantastic experience: Just had my first appointment at Smileologie and it was the most thorough dental checkup I've ever had! That's not to mention the state of the art tech which allowed me to watch Dr George work his magic in real time and the caring service and explanations which shows he really cares about your teeth. Fantastic experience: George & Team are awesome! I could not possibly recommend higher. I hadn't been to a dentist in years, knew I had a couple little issues and was sorta dreading it all round. I think it’s the combination of all the great technology they have as well as fantastic technique and approach that makes the experience soo good. George walks you through every single step of the process, from scans to photos, before during and after the works - explaining very clearly what is going on and how he is working through it. The whole process was pain free, very reasonably priced and you honestly could not ask for a more professional yet personable approach from a dentist. So glad I went.

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist normally. Terrified even. I also am distrustful of dentists telling me I need work done that I may not actually need, and be stuck paying for. Smileologie is different though. I went there this morning with (what I thought) a terrible tooth pain and was naturally concerned it would cost me a fortune. Not only did Dr George put me at ease and explained my situation, he showed me what was going on too and exactly what the issue was. He then made some recommendations after showing me what was happening but even then, it was absolutely no pressure and more felt like getting a recommendation from a friend. In addition, the prices were very affordable and the team will work with you to find a solution that fits your budget and/or circumstances. Despite my fear, dislike and distrust of dentists, I will be going back. There is a reason Smileologie has more than 270 5 Star reviews and no bad feedback. I could not fault any part of the service, facility or the staff even if I tried.

Fantastic experience: It’s rare to find a consummate professional that really cares for your overall oral well being. Dr George Lathouras at Smileologie in East Brisbane is that dentist. His thoughtfulness and knowledge gave me a feeling of confidence before I even lay back. I am a bad patient!! and left my dental checkup laps, but George took this in his stride and set me at ease. Fantastic experience: Currently visiting East Brisbane and found Smileologie and was lucky that we did. It is rare for me to find a dentist that I am comfortable with; however, Dr George and his assistant are excellent. I have very sensitive teeth, and they made me feel comfortable and ensured that the experience was completely pain-free. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. The place itself is modern, clean and easy to find. The ease of digital forms and online booking makes the initial experience very convenient. Fantastic experience: I have had a toothache for a couple of weeks now, so I finally decided to make a last minute booking to see a dentist at Smileologie, the online booking systems worked great and was very convenient. The dental surgery was spotless and location is great, with lots of onsite parking available. I ended up requiring a couple of fillings and Dr. George was great throughout the whole procedure, claery communicating the process through each step and was very friendly. I will be using Smileologie for all of my future dental appointments and I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to find a great dentist .
