Grey Street Dentist is proud to be servicing patients from all over Melbourne since the 1970’s. Dr. Hyun Soo Yu is now leading the team which has hosted generations of dentists. We have lots of patients who have been attending our practice for many years, whom we have seen grow up and have their own families! We offer quality personalised care for a broad range of dentistry including General dentistry, Cosmetic dentistry, Dental Implant, Orthodontics, Crowns,Veneers, Teeth Whitening and Children's dentistry.

Plus I really appreciate the fact that they have all the equipment onsite to do anything. His manner is calm and welcoming and made what I thought would be an unpleasant and painful appointment one that was anything but. Fantastic experience: The dentistry and customer service at Grey Street Dentist is at its highest quality. I lived in Australia for 23 years, UK for 13 years but am originally from Poland. Trust me when I say this clinic is the best you ever going to come across. I attended this clinic for about 4 years and I had some complicated work done. I am ever so grateful for a care I received. Dr Cherry Chen was so kind and stepped me through both my concerns and any possible future concerns that it i should be aware of. Dr Cherry was clear and provided her expertise and rationale behind the concerns i should be aware of, very informative ! The cleaning was smooth and painfree with Dr Cherry checking in as we proceeded. This experience had left me confident with dentist visits and will be making this clinic my go to! After not going to the dentist in years, and needing a wisdom tooth out and a deep clean and x ray. dr Francis explained everything in detail and gave me reassurance the whole time. Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Dr Francis and all of the caring and professional staff at the Grey Street Dentist. I began the journey some 18 months ago just after I turned 70 and I have finally acquired a smile to be proud of. In place of gaps, cracked and worn down teeth, I now have implants, veneers, caps and bridges. The welcoming and friendly receptionists and the skill of the dental practitioners gave me a sense of confidence which is why I would definitely recommend this practice to others.

Negative experience: I strongly do not recommend them. They are expensive and seem more focused on bringing you back to their clinic than on providing genuine care. I told them I would reach out if I wanted to return, but after six months, they booked an appointment for me and sent a message stating that charges would apply if I didn’t show up. I had to call them to cancel an appointment I never requested. I also asked them to unsubscribe me from their communications, remove my email and phone number, and delete my information from their system, as I no longer wanted to hear from them. Yet, two years later, I’m still receiving emails from them, and I have no idea how to stop it.

Fantastic experience: A huge thanks to all staff at Grey street Dentist. I recently switched from another dentist and couldn’t be happier. I had a minor emergency just before Christmas and they were able to fit me in and sort it out immediately. Staff at reception, dental assistants and the 2 dentists I’ve seen (Hyun Soo Yu and Nelson Ung) have all been amazing. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at this dentist. I went in for a standard filling, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. The dentist took the time to explain each step and even took pictures along the way, so I fully understood what was happening and why. The procedure itself was quick and painless—I was in and out in just half an hour. Overall, it was a professional and reassuring experience. I would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone! Fantastic experience: Just started going to Grey St Dental and am loving the experience. Dr Vinnie provided a really thorough initial consultation about my dental health and discussed with me my concerns with the overall look of my smile. Earl gave me a great dental clean session and tips/instructions/demonstrations on how to improve how I care for my teeth. Both had such a holistic approach. I’ve never had such a thoughtful experience at a dental practice before. The receptionists are also incredibly helpful, will explain things in depth, and will even guide you on how to approach your health fund to make the appropriate inquiries with them. Though Grey St Dental is not partnered with my private health fund, I will continue to attend their practice and pay the gap so that I can experience the benefits the practice provides.

Fantastic experience: I was not a good patient, I was scared of going to the dentist, I would only go if I had no choice, I would sweat and be very tense even before my mouth opens, making me ultra sensitive to pain. This clinic has helped me overcome this fear, staff is professional, super friendly and caring. They don't mind taking their time to explain what is happening and reassuring you. Thanks to Dr Dennis having a root canal treatment was a walk in the park, pretty much painless, incredible. Cannot recommend this clinic enough.

Fantastic experience: I’m a pretty nervous dental patient and had to have my wisdom tooth extracted, which initially felt very stressful. Dr Vincent was calm and thorough as he explained the process, and was reassuring while it was going on. He dealt really well with my minor freak-outs, as did the dental nurse who was assisting. Following the procedure I’ve had very little pain, so I’ve been able to manage it with rest and a bit of ibuprofen, and the extraction site looks really neat, so I feel like Dr Vincent did a great job. I’m very happy!

He explained the process and what I can do to maintain the health of my teeth. But most impotently, has the most gentle touch. Fantastic experience: I needed to find a new dentist due to moving and my previous one being too far away. It’s a daunting process however the entire team at Grey Street Dentist were lovely and welcoming. Dr Michael made the experience one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dentist. Fantastic experience: BEST dentist in Australia, I swear. Loved it so much that I am leaving my first review ever. I come from Seoul, which means that my standard for dentist is pretty damn high (along with the hairdresser & Korean restaurant…). I’ve had a hard time finding a dentist that I could gladly call my own until I went to this one. I can 100% trust Dr.Hyun with my high-maintenance teeth. All the nurses are so wonderful, too. They were super kind & helpful with all the complicated documents I needed for insurance, etc. Honestly, the whole experience was simply pleasant and hassle-free. I did have to wait a while to get an appointment, so suggest you don’t wait till it’s urgent and book in advance. All in all, HIGHLY x100 recommend this one if you care about your teeth and want to do your future-self a favour.

The reception team were very friendly and helpful providing my with difficult health insurance quotes for multiple things. My dentist was Dr Michael and after understanding my past experiences was very friendly and compassionate and even managed to extract a tooth almost pain free and very informative post procedure info. Negative experience: The last time someone asked me how much I would like to spend, I was scammed. Today I was asked the same question by my lovely, tho very recently graduated, 'Dr' Dentist from Grey Street Dental in StKilda. A booking appt for a filling turned into a photo and excessive x-ray sesh. Love StKilda back packers, however this seemingly 'high end' clinic does not deliver from reception to 'Doctor' as they refer to themselves. Not to complain furtherly (is that a word?), Doc Dentist was rushed. As dentally muzzled (thnx MAFS), clarity of hearing revealed Dr Dentist needed to get my $500 filling done fast. Overheard next appt booked in my timeslot. It's a 'no' from me.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr Francis Tenazas for a short consultation and Dr Shaun Weng for a long consultation recently. Both of them are very caring, listen to my teeth problems (e.g. teeth #46 & #47) with empathy and give professional advices. During my tooth filling process, Dr Shaun explained what he would do and what would happen every step of the way, so I was fully informed. In addition to giving me his professional opinions, he’d show me on the teeth bitewing X-rays and explained why. To help me look after my existing crowns on teeth #16 and #26 and extend their life span, he taught me how to use interdental brush and suggested to monitor them every two years with dental X-rays. I am very grateful for their professional and caring services. The front desk staff, Aafreen, Caoimhe, Moe are also really caring and warm people. I love their brilliant smiles, helpfulness and work efficiency. The whole team at Grey Street Dentist are just exceptional!
