Fantastic experience: Great service from staff & Dr Wanigaratne

Negative experience: Just now I called to speak to pathology and the inefficient receptionist tells me they can’t transfer (understandable) to call the pathology room directly. I politely asked her for the phone number and she was not at all keen to help. Asked me to go to the website to find the number. How ridiculous is that. She means to say she does not have the number. Just a lot of slack. These people need to be given training in customer service. Ridiculous, inefficient staff member.

Positive experience: Medical Centre with multiple practices onsite. Conveniently located within main shopping centre for undercover parking and access to other facilities/shops.

I did not have to wait long then had a chat about my details to the doctor then he took me to the nurses quarters to have the injury on my leg checked out. The nurse was extremely officiant & dealt with it very professionally. I thank all concerned.

Vicky, the nurse at medical centre was always helpful for preforming full medical examination on me. She was very polite and very professional.

Fantastic experience: I went to get my flue shot today and it's service was wonderful as both me and my dad managed to get both our flu shots very quickly from one nurse in less than a minute even though our appointments were scheduled 15 minutes apart.

Negative experience: Dr Karim is the best doctor i have ever had. Very kind , caring and professional. We love him deerly. However one of the receptionist ladies (eldest amongst them all) is very impolite and treats people very much disrespectfully . If my doctor wasn't working in this medical centre i would have never visited this centre at all.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the check in were very friendly & kind. She explained that there is a fee on top of the Medi Care bulk bill rate. This is the same any where you go so no problem. Negative experience: I came to this clinic recently after completing the official Healthdirect symptom checker, which advised I see a GP within 2 hours due to worsening COVID-like symptoms. I disclosed everything when booking and followed all the precautions. To my surprise, the doctor dismissed me for coming in at all, telling me I should have tested myself at home — even though my daughter had tested positive at the same clinic just a week earlier. The tone was not only unhelpful but made me feel blamed for following the advice online and the booking procedure. There was a clear breakdown in communication between reception and Dr Steve Lok, and the lack of empathy during a vulnerable moment was deeply disappointing. I hope the clinic reviews its processes and treats future patients with more consistency and respect.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this Medical Centre almost since it’s inception. I usually go there to see my doctor, Richard Change. I’m very happy with Dr Chang. He is always to the point and answers whatever the questions I have. He also did some minor surgeries on me to take out some cysts. I’m also happy with the nursing staff particularly Linda (I hope i’m right!) and Theresa. The receptionists are also great! I have never waited for a very long time. I will be going there in the future too as long as I’m satisfied with the service.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful on the phone plus at the counter. It was my first time as a patient and the doctor I saw was Dr.Kirialle( hope correct spelling) who was very attentive and gave me appropriate solution to my health issue. Fantastic experience: My family has been with Dr Karim for 3 years and he never failed us. He is so knowledgeable and proficient in his job. He listens very carefully to the patient with a high respect and empathy. We highly recommend him.

Negative experience: Reception staff were very abrupt and rude. Waiting area is not big enough for number of patients. I saw Dr Khanom who completely dismissed my concerns and made me leave feeling like I was an idiot. I'm disappointed and disgusted and will not be returning to a clinic that cannot be bothered to take the time to listen to a patient's concerns.

Positive experience: -The receptionist was almost talking with a very loud voice that wasn't needed. - The doctor, who visited my wife not only didn't have very welcome behaviour, but also didn't have a polite manner during the visit.

Positive experience: Dr Habib is one of the worse doctors I've encountered. Impatient with my questions, his only solution is subscribing more medicine. He was rude in dealing with me. I have then change to seeing Dr Karim and what a completely different (better) experience, 5 stars treatment. 0 stars for Habib.

Fantastic experience: Visited the medical centre and was referred to our local hospitals emergency care centre. The doctor I dealt with was very professional and I dealt with him later regarding a hospital follow up visit and then later to discuss some test results. Very happy with the care and advice that I was given.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Easily time wasting. Too long waiting. I waited for 30 min without any notice. Also, charging $30 additional pay on bulk billing. My lost 30min was more than $30. Very disappointed. I would never recommend here to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: My son got a cold with runny nose and coughing. I accompanied him to see doctor Kiriella at Carlingford Court Medical Centre. The receptionist there is very polite and nice. And she is easy going. Doctor Kiriella carefully checked my son. He is very professional. And he is very nice to his patients. He has very clear communication and let us to know that it takes few days to a week for my son to be well from the cold. I am very happy with the experience at Carlingford Court Medical Centre. I would strongly recommend Doctor Kiriella if you need to see a doctor.

Negative experience: My elderly parents continue to go to Carlingford Court MC because they started going there when their other local GP moved away. I am carer for my elderly parents. The Drs there are fine if you form a relationship with one of them. However, when my elderly mother got Covid-19 and I was not able to bring her to the clinic, they charge the same fees for telehealth as in-person appointment. However, on telehealth the Dr does not have to check blood pressure, pulse, feel where you have pain, look in your throat/eyes/ears and they are completely safe from any illness carried by the patient. We don't mind paying the gap but they need a better, fairer policy for charging by telehealth!

Fantastic experience: The front desk staff at medical centre seemed to be very proactive and helpful trying their best to give a good customer service regardless of the busy environment. The patients get a warm welcome and offer seating while they wait for doctors. They are happy to print the medical reports once been requested and so forth. This is an overall good and combined team effort.

Positive experience: The practice facility is good and clean … reception was working super fast …. But the waiting period was insane… you book an appointment and then you waiting 1 hour after your appointment which is ridiculous… on other hand Dr Robert Chan is the best

Negative experience: Worst receptionist I have ever experienced. Went in for 11.30am appointment with headache, waited for 1hour, the receptionist was talking non stop, never listened. I had to walk out the medical center and made another appointment somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I was absent from work due to fever and pain in my body. Telephone consultation is very helpful because my workplace requires a medical certificate to apply for sick leave because I can't drive or leave my children at home. And Dr. Mohammad Karim (Carlingford court medical center) is a very good doctor. He gives me a very polite examination every time.

Fantastic experience: Been visiting to see Dr Sandya for 10 years now. She’s the most kindest Dr. Always patient no rushing. We used to live in Eastwood and then Westmead. Now although we are bit away and we have secondary doctors but Dr Sandya is our primary doctor. No big waiting like other GP appointments. We are always happy coming here.

Negative experience: Was told by receptionist that she talked to the doctor and he said come in for the appointment and all our family had to do is get a asthma care plan in colour format for child care for my child and they new that but we went in sat for 1hr and a half and then was told that the child care has to give it to us which is incorrect and a big waste of time and effort not happy with the communication and service 1 star

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience with Nurse Teresa Thaung at Carlingford Medical Centre during my son's immunisation appointment on 21/12/2024. Her unprofessional and rude behavior created an unnecessarily stressful situation for both myself and my baby. She provided curt and disrespectful instructions, interrupted me rudely with phrases like, “Are you listening? I am talking to you!” and showed no patience or empathy. The injection process was rushed, and she didn’t allow time to comfort my crying baby, further escalating the stress. This was not the first time I encountered such unacceptable conduct from her. It’s deeply concerning that someone with such a lack of professionalism is part of this facility. I strongly urge the management to address this issue to ensure no other family endures the same experience.

Positive experience: The doctors and nurses are very quick and efficient and there was not a long wait time would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I would strongly recommend Dr Bryan. He was so polite, I felt he was genuinely hearing me out when I was explaining to him my all my symptoms which is really rare for a lot of gps nowadays. Very thankful.

Negative experience: The doctor we saw at 4.30 today had no care at all. Shone a light at back of our sons head and then did not want anything to do with us. The moment we mentioned we suspected perhaps he had a tick but not sure; he wiped his hands and now have spent the last 3.5 hours and counting in emergency just to be seen. Will not be going back

Fantastic experience: We moved to the area couple of months ago and we requested to transfer all our medical details from the old medical center to Carlingford Court Center. Which we paid for it. I visited this center this morning and realised the medical history was not transferred to the center. The receptionist lady called the old medical center and rectified everything in 10 minutes. The service was very impressing and friendly. Dr. Selvi was very keen to know about my previous condition as well as answered all my queries. Sometime I feel the doctors in hurry to get the next patient so each person only have less 15 minutes. But I didn't feel this with Dr. Selvi. Waiting was a little bit long. my booking was at 9 AM and saw the doctor at 9:40 AM. When I turn up the center, the waiting area was full. but when I got out there were only 4 people waiting. I guess I booked myself at busiest time slot.

Negative experience: The reception was not helpful at all. Booked online and come in 10mins+ before the booking time. Waited for 30mins, then told me cannot find my information. Then waited for another 15mins, not saw the doctor yet. Anyway, not a trusted center!

Fantastic experience: The ladies in the front were very helpful in getting me a appointment on the same day. They explained my situation to the Doctor and only had to wait for a few minutes. Dr Hadid was very friendly and thorough for a routine check up. Thank you again for the quick and efficient service.

Negative experience: Dr’s don’t seem to care or listen and rush. Just had a rushed phone appointment with dr habib, unable to even transfer back to reception, then hung up If you need help, this is not the place.

Negative experience: What a joke. They are never punctual, always need to wait more than half an hour later than the scheduled time to be called in by doctors. The receptionist is like some high school mean girl, pitches her voice and rolls her eyes.

Positive experience: Mixed feelings due ton inaccurate info shared to me. I went in to check my knee, the doctor told me to get a “free MRI” at Westmead hospital and wrote a letter asking the hospital to check the knee. At the Westmead hospital, I was told they do not do MRI’s, so they only could do an X-Ray. A week later, I went in to the doctor to check the knee again, and he told me to get a bulk billed MRI at the local imaging center, and he wrote “bulk billed MRI” as referral on the imaging center’s paper, a paper that shows a few of their owners centers. This local center does not do bulk billed MRI’s, so I called Carlingford Court Medical Centre to ask what to do if the referral paper only shows their center company, but that I am after a bulk billed MRI center, and if I need the doctor to write the referral on a different paper or not. The receptionist rudely responded that MRI’s are never bulk billed, to which I advised that yes they can be and that I qualify for it, to which she strongly and rudely responded (without knowing my circumstances) that I did not qualify and would not get it. After a few minutes back and forth, she finally acknowledged that yes it can be bulk billed, and she finally advised that I can actually use the referral letter to any imaging center even if the letter is from the local imaging center’s brand. That was the information that should have been given to me from the start. I ended up finding a bulk billed MRI center in Parramatta. The receptionist should assist patients in the right direction to finding bulk billed MRI’s, instead of making assumptions that this will never be possible. This type of interactions should not happen as a healthcare job is not to argue (especially when they are wrong) but to give advice.

Negative experience: Dr Sandya is good, dr Fong doesn’t seem to know anything. I asked the question, she doesn’t seem to be responsive. A bit difficult to deal with. I don’t know I feel I know more than her.very transactional. Dislike.

Fantastic experience: Dr Selvi has been our family doctor for over 13 years. She's caring yet professional, thorough and always patient centred. She provides holistic care to our whole family. We have trust in her skills and will continue to see her as our main treating doctor. Vivian

We rang Carlingford Medical centre and they said they would see him right away and they did . The Doctor was great and we really appreciate them taking him straight in. Thanks again.

Negative experience: The wait time at the clinic was long, and the doctor was extremely impatient. Instead of addressing the information we provided, he gave us a referral to a specialist that seemed entirely unrelated to what we had described. It’s frustrating because we’re not the only ones who have had this experience—my mum’s friend went through something similar at this clinic. It’s hard not to be suspicious that this doctor is receiving some kinda of benefits from making referrals at this clinic.

Negative experience: Very Rude receptionist, oldest of them!!! If not with Dr Karim who is a very kind, compassionate Dr , I would never come back here.. also, rude one nurse who is doing the vaccination, hell, never explained what she is giving to her patient, very very rude, seriously. ... please can someone give attention to these rude workers, makes me feel discrimated and uncared for.. I dont know how many patients feel this way with this people.

Fantastic experience: On this, my first visit to this medical centre, I was impressed by the courtesy & efficiency of the reception staff. Dr Chang, checking my history, politely and very clearly explained the procedure that I will be having, thus leaving me feeling confident & assured.

Positive experience: I don't usually come to this Centre, but it was Saturday afternoon, and my normal GP was closed. This Centre was open when I needed it. The staff were pleasant and efficient. I'm pleased I came here.
