Fantastic experience: First time visiting this dentist, after going to standard commercial chains before. Dr Akib was a fantastic dentist, who thoroughly explained his process to me, including reassuring me and educating me about any concerns. I have not had that experience before at other dentists, and this was extremely valuable to me and put me at ease. Not to mention, the extremely comfortable chair, TV for entertainment all while receiving an as-relaxing-as it gets dental filling !

His new clinic is modern and clean and conveniently located at a shopping centre (though its far from where I live, convenient that I could club a trip to the dentist with grocery shopping). Definitely recommend Dr Akibs services, and I'll be coming back for my next 6 monthly checkup myself.

The staff are always so friendly and the dentist is extremely helpful, explains everything and makes sure you have full knowledge of what's happening before he does anything. Fantastic experience: South Morang Smiles is an excellent dental practice under new management. I felt at ease in the hands of the extremely capable and caring staff. The practice is also fantastic with kids and has options for after hours appointments available. Would highly recommend Dr Akib Mian and the team.

Negative experience: Really unhappy and dissatisfied, I went in for a filling, all was good. It broke and fell out 5 weeks later, it took numerous calls and about 4 weeks to get someone to call me back, got another appointment to get it fixed, went in, saw a different dentist, took him about 15 minutes, then told me he was done and it was all fixed. It fell out ..... 6 hours later!! Called again got another appointment, the receptionist called me the night before the appointment after 7pm to tell me she thought it would be better for me to come earlier so the dentist doesn't have to 'rush' to the other clinic after my appointment, I told her I would come in earlier. (Not impressed though and that is totally unprofessional). I walked from my car went in had anaesthetic and my tooth 'fixed' and back to my car in exactly 12 minutes....... guess what? filling has broken yet again.......... I'm not even going to bother calling. Thoroughly dissatisfied with the service, waste of time and money.

She was very gentle, kind, patient and very understanding of my anxiety and fear as I was extremely nervous before my procedure. She explained my options and the procedure clearly and I was so relieved that the procedure was painless. The atmosphere at the clinic was relaxing and welcoming. I will not hesitate going to see them again for all my future dental work. Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time, too long as a matter of fact! Dr Lavonne saw me at short notice regarding my extremely painful wisdom tooth and was very friendly and welcoming. My first impression of the clinic was that it is new, very clean and modern (there’s a screen on the ceiling so patients can watch TV or Netflix!!). Dr Lavonne explained everything clearly and politely, and made sure that I was comfortable. The procedure itself was basically pain-free, even considering that my wisdom tooth had decayed and was very difficult to get to and took longer than usual. It’s obvious that Dr Lavonne is passionate about her work and cares about her patients, providing information and recommendations for further care. I’ll be going back for a full exam and deep clean. Thank you! 10/10
