Fantastic experience: We recently took my daughter to this dental clinic, and the experience was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth, which immediately helped my daughter feel relaxed. The reception area was clean, bright, and very child-friendly — a small detail, but it made a big difference for her confidence. The dentist was incredibly gentle, patient, and thorough. They took the time to explain every step in a calm and reassuring way, making sure my daughter understood what was happening and never felt nervous. I really appreciated how they balanced professionalism with kindness. You could tell they truly care about children and want them to have a positive experience with dental care. The treatment itself went smoothly, and afterwards the dentist gave helpful tips for maintaining her dental health at home. My daughter walked out smiling — and even said she’s looking forward to her next visit, which says everything! I highly recommend this clinic to any parent looking for exceptional, compassionate dental care for their children.

Negative experience: I do not recommend that you take your dental voucher here! Recently this year, I presented with a hospital dental voucher to this facility. I was not being listened to properly or happy with the services, I was provided here at this facility. I cancelled all future appointments. When I called to retrieve the voucher, I was told - due to cancelling appointments with this facility - they had sent the voucher back to the dental hospital. Spiteful Nasty Rude Disrespectful I called the dental hospital and they advised : the dental voucher was still valid and was still current. I was still able to take it to another facility. However due to the voucher being sent back to them from this facility and the voucher was not sent back myself, like it should have. Which I was entitled too, as it was still current….. I was no longer able to use it. Now I no longer have use of the dental voucher I was entitled too. That I waited for. That I need due to being a full time student. I have visited another facility who had no issues providing me with a clean I do not recommend that you take your dental voucher here! This review has been written without my name! Speak my name again upon the internet and I will take this further I have written this review many times this facility continues to try and discredit me Be professional! accept the review take the criticism and feedback on board that you have been given and stop trying to discredit the people who are not satisfied with your services stop attempting to push back, put down and patronise your past customers who are not happy with your services criticism and feed back is a healthy thing for a business in whatever shape and form you receive it it should always be taken on board to better the service you provide not patronise past customers and push back blame the fact that you continuously respond back to me and attempt to make yourself look good because you cannot handle or will not accept a bad review egotistical to continually push back blame instead of taking it on board and trying to do better is absolutely unprofessional I was not happy with your services no matter what you attempt to say to discredit me, you have no right to change or blame me for how you made me feel and how you did treat me and continue to treat me you cannot please everyone the humble approach would be better here be professional

Fantastic experience: Imogen is an exceptional dentist. Her care and attention to my aging teeth has been nothing short of exemplary. She approaches every challenge with thoughtfulness and dedication—qualities I haven’t experienced in a dentist before. Although I have to travel a fair distance for my appointments, it’s absolutely worth it. Imogen is the only dentist I want to see.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jo has been a revelation in my return to dental care and certainly put myself at ease with concerns of someone fiddling inside my mouth. After some five years, maybe more of neglect, Dr Jo has done a brilliant job of restoring my teeth back to some sort of normal. He is by far the best dentist I’ve had. I’m 65!

Fantastic experience: Warm welcoming clinic, went in thinking fillings ended up being a tooth extraction, I suffer with high anxiety and the dentist was super friendly and professional and honestly, I felt not pain what's so ever, will definitely be back for future treatments. Also always check who your insurance provider choices are only cost 68$ out of pocket!

Fantastic experience: Imogen is my dentist at this clinic and she is absolutely amazing. Very caring, supportive and always explains everything thoroughly. She also helps you to decide which way to go by discussing various options. The best thing about this clinic, is that they don’t try to make unnecessary appointments. The office staff and dental nurses are friendly, polite and professional. I highly recommend this clinic

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist in a very, very long time and was a bit nervous about going. But I booked in and Dr. Chen was amazing. Helped put my mind at ease and did great work. I had to come back 3 weeks later to finish off the work and he remembered I was on holidays and asked about it which was a great personal touch. The work was so well done that I nearly fell asleep during having my teeth drilled. Couldn’t recommend enough and honestly looking forward to going back to the dentist again after my visits!

Fantastic experience: If you want a dentist who makes you look forward to appointments, go see Dr. Jo! He's very gentle, takes the time to explain what's going on and is transparent about the cost. The whole team is so welcoming and lovely. I always leave their office with a grin.

Fantastic experience: I have not been to the dentist for a number of years. Recently I went to Sebastopol Dental to have a considerable amount of work done. Dr Jo would be the best dentist I have experienced in my 60 years. He makes you quite comfortable and explains every procedure in a detail and ensures you understand. The rest of the staff are also extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dr Jo and Sebastopol Dental to anyone of any age for treatment.

Sebastopol Dentist transformed my front tooth, He went above and beyond in all areas of my mouth.He is so very Kind and he worked His own magic on my tooth. Grateful beyond description. 9/1/23 Dr Jo, Community Dr Jo is dentist hands down! This morning first day back from new year he still delivered laser focus for my broken broken front tooth, He repaired, restored my tooth as well as cleaning the root canal and bringing my front tooth a little forward to protect it from getting damaged, as I’m a grinder! Fantastic experience: Our family have visited Sebastopol Dental over the last 12 months. My daughter had been putting off a visit to the dentist, due to her fear of needles and a previous bad experience with another dentist. After being reassured that she would not feel the needle, due to a numbing liquid that they first apply to the gum, she bravely went ahead and had dental work done, including the removal of two wisdom teeth in the chair. My 14 year old son, who has an intellectual disability, was more than comfortable being seen to for a check up. He was rapt he had been to the dentist! I needed extensive work done, which I had been putting off as money needed to be prioritised in our place. I had previously had a tooth crowned many years ago, and the cap came off a couple of years ago, causing the work underneath to crumble. I had another tooth that needed a crown and a couple of fillings that were required. Over a period of a few months, all work was finally complete. Our dentist, Dr Terence Lau, has been fantastic and sympathetic to our concerns during the whole process. Dr Lau and the assistants kept checking that we were OK the entire time we were in the chair, putting us at ease at every opportunity. He has listened to us and even begged us to tell him if we could still feel anything. We even got to choose the music we listened to while in the chair! What a bonus! Thanks everyone, especially Terence, for once again making a visit we used to dread something we no longer fear. Thanks also to the lovely girls at reception and the assistants, all of who are helpful and up for a chat. Sebastopol Dental has to be, without a doubt, the best and most cheerful practice in the Ballarat district.

Positive experience: As a mature age person and carrying an horrific experience as a kid at the dental hospital the time I’ve been terrified of dentists, Terence at Sebastopol Dentistry has taken most the that fear away. I’ve had 3 visits, today an extraction not realising Terence had completed the process.A brilliant caring young man, nurses and receptionist are also caring. Thank you

And being a new patient Sebastopol dental thankfully and kindly enough got me in straight away than having to wait up to 2-3wks. Fantastic experience: The practice manager Kylie and dentist Jaci are incredible. I can't praise them enough for the amazing team they are. The way they chatted to my typically anxious 5 year old son had him relaxed & even laughing throughout the appointment. Kylie & Jaci spoke on his level so he knew just what was going on & complying with all they asked of him. Our first appointment was last week & my son was more than happy to return today, I take that as a good sign!
