Fantastic experience: Dr. Derek is so nice and kind, and helped me with my teeth issue quickly.

Negative experience: Yesterday I had a filling done on my front tooth and the adjacent tooth, specifically the area near the gum line on the side of the tooth. Today I noticed that a piece at the bottom of the tooth has already broken off. What I find very concerning is that although the filling was on the side of the tooth, the dentist ground down the lower part of the tooth. I do not understand why the bottom of the tooth needed to be ground at all. As a result, the tooth now feels much weaker, and I am worried that I may not even be able to bite hard food in the future. The area that was filled was very small. Including a scale and clean, I paid $399 in total, with the filling itself costing $250. While the price was not particularly cheap, my main concern is not the cost but the damage caused to the tooth. I tried calling the clinic twice this morning, but no one answered. At this point, I am reluctant to return for further treatment, as I am worried that my tooth has already been unnecessarily weakened. I would like a clear explanation as to why grinding the lower part of the tooth was considered necessary for a side filling, and how this situation can be properly resolved.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time visiting the clinic. I came here with really bad toothache (my only relief was somehow sipping on cold water). Dr.Derek found that an old filling I had done back home was causing the tooth pulp to die on me which meant I needed a root canal. Now this was my first time ever needing a root canal and I’ve only ever heard bad things about it, so naturally I was quite apprehensive. However, the day finally came and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Whenever I felt even an ounce of pain, Dr.Derek made sure to follow additional procedures to relieve me of it before proceeding. He is really efficient and quite funny haha. Overall, there were no complications and I left feeling super grateful that I came here. Will be coming here for my regular checkups. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: Good Dentist, easy to work with, listened to my concerns. I had a filling done. But it wasn't an 'easy' filling. A third of the tooth was missing (a large filling from 10yrs ago had recently fallen out, exposing a deep black spot underneath), not ideal. It was almost on the verge of needing a root canal. He was able to make the best of a bad situation, and restored the tooth to a level I was happy with.

Positive experience: Went to Derek Lee’s Slacks Creek clinic since toowong’s appt was booked up about half a year ago. Had cleaning + small filling. Filling fell out <1 year He is a personable and friendly dentist. Quite honest and upfront with prices. Nothing hidden. Although I had to point out my cavity that was almost missed and the filling did not last long. Cleaning was $149 Filling was $160. My previous filling done in Hong Kong is still intact after 10years. And I was told by Derek Lee it should last years. Update: called his receptionist at Toowong. They said filling they can only guarantee filling to last for 3 months.

Fantastic experience: I have visited Mydentist Australia recently that Dr. Derek is super kind and friendly, my front tooth with crown was broken and fall off, I went to Gentle dentist at kmart Arana Hills where near my home and the Doctor told me I will need to spent $4000 to do implant of my front tooth which Dr. Derek just help me to glued it and it was just a filling cost. I am really appreciated what he have done and saved so much my time & money. I will definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

I was suffering massive wisdom tooth pains and this amazing dentist did everything he could for me on a Sunday. 2 hours of trying to get my stubborn tooth pulled and he never charged me for service because he couldn't get it out, but I appreciated the effort and care this clinic gives. Fantastic experience: Dr Derek Lee is now my favourite dentist. Moving to a new city and trying to find a dentist that you can trust with your teeth is daunting, however, Derek turned it into something pleasant. I now look forward to going to the dentist and know that he puts my needs first. Derek will always be honest and take you step by step on what he is doing to your teeth so there is no need to be afraid or unsure on what is happening. The prices are also very good but does not mean that quality of product and service is tainted. Would highly recommend!

Super cheap dental place, very affordable for people without private health insurance the female dentist that cleaned my teeth was very professional and gave me really thorough instructions on how to clean certain parts of the teeth.
