Fantastic experience: I went to Focus Dental with a serious case of periodontal disease. Initially, my dentist suggested I see a specialist, but in Australia, specialist treatments can be incredibly expensive—often costing thousands of dollars. This was a significant financial burden for me. After comparing several clinics, I decided to go with Focus Dental, and I’m so glad I did. Not only did their dentist take on my case, but they also provided treatment comparable to a specialist at a much more affordable price. After a few sessions, my periodontal disease was completely under control. Their dentists are very skilled and experienced- they minimised my pain and discomfort throughout the treatment and were incredibly detailed and caring. I was initially highly anxious regarding a dental procedure I was to undertake, but Dr Christine reassured me that the procedure was going to be fine and ensured that I was given adequate amounts of local analgesia to manage the pain. Fantastic experience: I can't be grateful enough with dr. Christina and all the staff. I booked an appointment because I had a really bad TMJ condition and they squeezed her agenda to fit me in. She helped me from the first visit by giving me a temporary mouthguard while I did the x ray and MRI. My condition improved a lot and now I have a better understanding of my jaw. Since they all were really good and professional now I look after my teeth with them only! Did a cleaning and some fillings there, she's so gentle that I didn't even feel the anesthetic needle and I've been always a coward with that! Thanks focus dental! Would 100% recommend this place

Negative experience: Suffering from a painful, infected front top tooth (previously damaged and with just a temporary filling in place) I approached Focus Dental to seek a "ball park" price for removal, implant and crown. Many calls on my part, an email to request the pricing (with my dental records attached from the previous treating dentist - they are located too far away now) and assertions that I would receive a call from a dentist / dental surgeon to discuss my situation (told verbally, informed via email as well after not getting my promised call after 8pm close, the night before) I am still waiting. And waiting. Tooth has been removed and the first step in the implant has been fitted now, but I just wanted to let people know that if you're in pain, your matter is reasonably urgent and you value your time: don't waste that time or effort on trying to get much from this lot. Frustrating and disappointing.

Fantastic experience: For someone who has been “tortured” since around 7 years old, who has visualized dental chair as electric chair, who has been held down by two adults for extraction, who has accepted that dental appointment is a form of karma retribution…… I am very particular with my choice of dentists, who I would loyally stick to as long as possibly can… hence the “connection” has to be there. Because of those years of “Episodes” I have had, I have to equip myself with biology and anatomy. Had experienced: gagging, braces, filling, extraction, with and without anesthetics, denturing…. Only a few major ones I defer as long as possible (purposely slip under the carpet). Dentist to me is very personal. It cannot be based on recommendation, price, and/or reputation. For me the connection is way way way more important. 3 years in Melbourne Metropolitan (with lockdown, couldn’t fly to my dentist), after many regretted and uncomfortable sessions with a handful of local doctors, Dr Wong has been the next “chosen one” in my list who I entrust my jaws with….. and finally she handled my root canal tooth which had been deferred for more than a decade. It was a surprisingly painless session, I even dozed off for a short while. I was speechless. Love your skills, Doc!!!

Fantastic experience: Dentists and reception staff are all very helpful and professional. Members of our family have been anxious about dental visits, but the dentists here are so gentle and take such care to explain what they are doing that you leave feeling relaxed. Fantastic experience: We feel extremely fortunate to come across a gem of a dentist who, not only is she skilled at what she does, but is also a compassionate person who we are pleased to now call our family dentist. Dr Christina, herself a mother to two boys, was very gentle with our own children. To be honest, we were a little apprehensive on taking up the free kid's dental clean offer but the close proximity to home made it a no brainer. The only downside to this type of A+ service is that bookings will undoubtedly be harder to come by in due time.
