Negative experience: Do NOT trust these dentists. They failed to treat a tooth infection which I sought treatment for (the dentist literally told me there was nothing wrong with it) and less than a year later they told me it required a root canal. In the same session they told me that I needed SEVEN other fillings and four crowns in addition to the root canal - work totalling around $7,000. I told them that I could not afford that but they gave me no cheaper options or alternatives. I made an appointment with the Melbourne Dental Clinic student clinic hoping to get cheaper work done, but they gave me the most comprehensive assessment I’ve ever had. It took 2 hours. I was assessed by student dentists and then reviewed by supervising professors. They told me I didn’t need a SINGLE filling. They said that I did need two crowns but they offered me a range of cheaper alternatives. I have spent a small fortune at Bupa and Clearly Dental over the years, but always felt like these dentists did not have my interests at heart. It turned out that was true. They are trying to make as much money out of clients as possible, inventing problems that do not exist. This is appalling medical ethics. I highly recommend avoiding Bupa Dental and making an appointment at Melbourne Dental Clinic, especially if you’re feeling the cost of living crisis. They’re absolutely fantastic: friendly, ethical and patient-centred. They offer excellent care and will not rip you off - unlike Bupa Dental!

Negative experience: It has taken me nearly a year to move past my upset & anger and write this review so that others do not fall into the trap of going here for the high BUPA rebate. It’s not worth it. You will be booked in and charged for services you arguably don’t need feeling like you are getting a top deal because you are only $300 out of pocket for procedures that would have cost $3k without the insurance. I am told that BUPA outlets use this tactic as their business model, which makes sense. I knew this at the time as they kept toting up additional procedures but, foolishly, proceeded anyway because I thought it would be an improvement. Wrong. I now have 3 ground down teeth at the top front, two chipped front teeth that were perfect before the dodgy “ tooth putty” misapplied and other issues that I have had to pay another ( completely horrified) dentist to repair. It was both exploitative and devastating in equal measure.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a teeth whitening session at Bupa Dental in Pascoe Vale, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The standout professional who made it all possible was Deepshika. From the moment I was greeted, Deepshika's warm, friendly, and incredibly professional demeanor put me completely at ease. She took the time to explain the entire teeth whitening process in detail, answering all my questions and ensuring I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. Her expertise was evident, and it was clear that I was in very capable hands. The procedure itself was seamless and comfortable, a testament to her gentle and skilled approach. But the most impressive part? The results are absolutely brilliant! My teeth are noticeably whiter and brighter, and the outcome has truly exceeded my expectations. I feel so much more confident in my smile. I wholeheartedly recommend Deepshika and the entire team at Bupa Dental, Pascoe Vale. If you're considering teeth whitening, you won't find a better person for the job. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience!

Fantastic experience: My surgical procedure with Dr Hussein Shiday was exceptional. The X-ray and his explanation of the procedure gave me a clear picture of the steps, which put my mind at ease. Pain was managed effectively, and the surgery went smoothly and appeared effortless. In addition to this procedure, Dr Shiday took great care to ensure there were no risks of infection and that post-op procedures would be expounded upon recovery.

Fantastic experience: I've never been the biggest fan of dental appointments, but Dr. Bethany Chau has completely changed that. From the moment you walk into the clinic, you're welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Chau is not only incredibly skilled and gentle, but also takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you're completely comfortable throughout the process. Her attention to detail and genuine care for her patients really stand out. Whether it's a routine clean or something more complex, I always feel like I'm in the best hands. I actually walk out of appointments feeling better than when I walked in—how many people can say that about the dentist? Highly recommend Dr. Bethany Chau to anyone looking for a dentist who is thorough, caring, and trustworthy. An absolute gem in the field!

Negative experience: Feedback - your policy where you cancel our appointment if we do not reply Yes to a text message you send is terrible. We all are adults and when we make an appointment, you just have to trust that we will turn up or we will call to cancel if we cant make it. This should be an exception not a process / policy.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Dr. Sabrina Ting and her wonderful dental assistant Nikki. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel comfortable and well-cared-for. Dr. Ting took the time to thoroughly clean my teeth, placed a filling, and applied sealants with great precision and care. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, very skilled, and friendly dentist. I was saddened to find out that she will no longer be working at this clinic due to moving states - but I wish her nothing but the best on her journey. I’ll be sure to book Dr Sabrina Ting again, if she ever returns to Melbourne.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Bupa Dental Clinic in Pascoe Vale. While my initial appointment went well, my experience with the second dentist was concerning. Following my visit for routine check-ups and a couple of fillings, I have been in significant pain for weeks and had healthy teeth damaged. The second dentist provided no adequate treatment plan and failed to explain the procedures or costs clearly. As a result, several fillings were improperly placed, causing further damage to my teeth, with one filling chipping and another leading to a crack. I’ve had to seek help from a specialist and two other dentists to resolve these issues. Additionally, there were concerning hygiene practices, such as a seemingly unwell dental assistant continuing to work, and the clinic lacked basic facilities like sinks for patients. The receptionist's service was subpar, and I faced challenges in securing timely appointments. Overall, my experience was far below expectations, and I am now considering cancelling my private health cover due to the adverse effects of the treatments I received. I hope the clinic addresses these issues to prevent future problems for other patients, especially Bupa members who go there to save money, not to spend more!

Fantastic experience: Bethany was fantastic at my daughter's check up and scale and clean today! She explained everything she was doing in a kid friendly way, she gave her good ideas and advise on the best ways to brush and floss... and Members First Ultimate meant ZERO to pay.. thanks Bupa!!

Negative experience: They failed to scan my bupa card after an appointment so had to come back to the clinic. I only got my treatment plan a week after our checkup and that’s after following it up by calling after a week.if no follow up happens, I’m not sure if I’m ever going to receive my treatment plan. Also, when given quote for my treatment plan instead of giving me estimated cost with my bupa insurance, they gave me a private quote. The reason why they didn’t include my insurance cover was because they failed to scan my bupa card to include my bupa cover. Would be nice to know estimated cost with cover already. I was advised to just call bupa instead.

Negative experience: Wish I could give zero stars. Was a terrible experience. Went to see Deepshika Singh for a clean up. Found out from other google reviews that she is not even a dentist, not sure why she’s allowed to give dental services/advise then. While cleaning she made me swallow all the water/saliva/chemicals. It was disgusting!! Please do not go here! She left me with bleeding and sore gums. I had some sensitivity for 2 days after the clean as well. And she was not considerate when cleaning around my sensitive teeth. I’ve never had such a bad dental experience.

Fantastic experience: Had appointment and to tell you the truth I will never go anywhere else anymore. Dentists excellent, girls at the reception Abby and Mia so friendly and helpful. One the girls had someone asking one million question and repeating them as well and they didn’t even have Bupa card and these young girls answered all of them without hesitation or getting upset. Well done team for always making us feel welcome.my girls and I always happy to come back there.

Negative experience: Big No to ❌Deepshika Singh❌ My experience with “Deepshika Singh” was awful. She was rude, rushed, and made me feel like a burden, as if she were giving me free service. There was no dental basin, and she asked me to swallow dirty chemicals like seriously? That’s the most basic thing a dentist should have. She started my cleaning without numbing, causing pain and bleeding that continued for hours. I later found out she's just a hygienist, not a dentist. She disrupted my consultation with the actual dentist. She didn't know the service details and was very unprofessional! If she dislikes her job so much, she should quit instead of wasting our hard-earned money and time.

Fantastic experience: I'm sometimes nervous/anxious going to the dentist but I tried Clearly Dental in Pascoe Vale as they had good reviews. The staff and particularly Dr Sabrina Ting were so professional and caring. Dr Ting patiently took the time to listen, and to explain everything clearly which made me feel at ease. This will be my regular dentist venue from now.

Negative experience: I was with them for a few years, mostly for a regular dental clean done by their hygienists, not dentists. They stuffed up an appointment, giving me a card with an appointment but they must have forgotten to put it in their system so they had no idea when I rocked up and they said the next available was over a month away. Given their blue ribbon fees I would at least expect a blue ribbon service. Have now got elsewhere where my clean is done by a dentist for a more reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Clearly Dental Pascoe Vale was stellar. Dr Sabrina is very knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring. This went a long way for me during my visit as I was quite nervous about my procedure. She was also completely up front and transparent about costs, and took the time to debrief and educate me about my dental hygiene, which demonstrates how compassionate she is toward her patients. I found the reception staff to also be very lovely. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 wisdom tooth extractions at clearly dental. I went in very apprehensive and scared , but Dr Desai and his dental assistant took their time to make me feel relax and comfortable . The extractions was swift and barely any discomfort. Thank you to the team.

Negative experience: Very disappointed, I came in today to enquire about dentures, the receptionist made me wait for half an hour , then when they found out I am a DVA Gold Card Holder she rudely informed me they don't do dentures paid for from Veterans Affairs, shame on you , Don't go to this Rude incompetent clinic, 0 star rating

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a dental practice for your children, I cannot recommend this place enough. My children love Shugufa; she's very professional, educational, and always makes each visit an enjoyable experience. The front office team are professional and helpful, and I never have any issues around scheduling appointments, or just general enquiries.
