Fantastic experience: I visited Greenvale Dental Group over the weekend. I was extremely nervous for my first ever filling but Dr Linda who helped me out, was so patient and understanding. Would recommend Dr Linda to anyone who is looking for their new dental home.

Negative experience: Hello everyone, Unfortunately, I had the worst experience of my life with this dentist. I experience with different dentists, I had braces long time ago, and while I've had molars extracted before, today was the worst thing that could have happened with Dr. Patty Katrivessis. She extracted a molar that I believe was unnecessary, likely out of laziness to explore other alternatives. I feel guilty for agreeing and not waiting for a more qualified professional. The incident occurred today at Greenvale Dental. She insisted on the molar extraction, proceeded as advised, and unfortunately, the molar broke into many pieces. I was confused and nervous during the procedure because it seemed challenging for her, indicating she didn't know what she was doing. I asked her to call another dentist for assistance, but being a Saturday, no one else was available. After numerous attempts, she consulted another dentist on how to proceed, which took some time. Then she informed me that she would refer me to a maxillofacial surgeon because she couldn't remove the root, leaving the job unfinished and me with an open gap. I asked her to stitch the opening, which she initially refused to do. Eventually, she proceeded to stitch it, but I was extremely nervous and unsure throughout the process. Now, I'm waiting to find a qualified professional. I do not recommend this dental office based on my experience and in line with other reviews, as it seems the staff is not adequately trained to operate as a dental clinic. Good luck to everyone, as I see that apologies are the only response given after negative reviews. I hope my damage doesn't worsen, and my bone isn't affected after so many failed attempts.

Negative experience: I attended Greenvale Dental Group recently due to a dental emergency. I had my first consult with Dr Patty regarding a broken tooth. I was provided with great informative service and a quote for the removal of the tooth. A few days later in severe pain, I booked in to get the tooth removed. I had the tooth removed by Dr Soraya, and everything went well. Upon exiting the clinic I was met with a bill that was 45% higher than my quote. As I was in no state to discuss the bill at this stage due to my face being swollen and numb, I paid and went home. I was told that my receipt would be emailed to me, which wasn't until I called up the following day to find out why I had been charged extra. I was advised that the procedure was more complex than first thought and as such an extra charge was required. I was also charged for an X-Ray which Dr Soraya required to ensure she had fully removed the tooth. At no stage during my initial consult when I was provided with the quote was I advised that the price may increase. I was not advised that an X-Ray would be required after the procedure nor that the procedure may cost more should the works be more complex than first thought. After challenging the increased charges, Dr Soraya offered a refund on the X-Ray. I gladly accepted this refund considering I believe the X-Ray should be part of the tooth extraction process. Please let me make it clear that I was satisfied with all the work I received in the chair, however I am less than impressed with the lack of clarity on the quote and the lack of communication.

Negative experience: Unpleasant Experience and Lack of Accountability I recently visited Greenvale dental Group for a filling procedure due to unavailability at my usual dental office until next year. Unfortunately, my experience with this practice was far from satisfactory. I had a filling procedure done on a Saturday just before closing time with Dr. Patty Katrivessis. Upon returning home, my parents noticed a cut on my face, as shown in the attached picture. I can confirm that I did not have this cut before the procedure. The location of the cut coincides with where the tofflemire retainer was placed. It's crucial to note that the dental staff did not use a dental dam for protection during the procedure, and I immediately drove home (a 5-minute drive) after the appointment. During the treatment, I also felt some discomfort/pressure near my lip from one of the dental tools. When I inquired, the dentist dismissed it as water. However, as I was numbed, I did not feel any pain. Subsequently, my father and I visited the clinic on the following Monday, and the dental nurse (Raj) acknowledged that the cut could have been caused by equipment used during the procedure. She assured us that the manager would contact us the next day at 9 am. Regrettably, I did not receive the promised call on Tuesday. upon calling the practice, I was met with an unsatisfactory response from both the principal nurse and the practice principal (Dr. Soraya Eakins). Instead of acknowledging the issue, they attempted to gaslight me, stating that such an incident would have been noticed or documented in the procedure notes and as it was not it could not have happened when I was at the clinic. Moreover, they suggested that I had caused the cut on my face in the brief 5-10 minutes it took me to get home, shifting blame onto me. This lack of accountability, coupled with the dismissive attitude and failure to follow through on promised communication, reflects poorly on the professionalism and customer service at this practise. I strongly advise against choosing this practice for dental procedures. For those seeking an alternative, the dental clinic across the road may be a viable option, although availability could be limited during busy periods.

Positive experience: The staff is kind but they refused to send me my own X-ray saying that they can only provide it to a doctor. This is the first place that I have met saying that, I was always provided my X-rays from other practitioners.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in the practice here. I came for my first appointment which was a consultation and clean. I thought it went well and that I was understood with what I was after. I made the next appointment which consisted of two appointments (the same day). Unfortunately I had to reschedule. Upon rescheduling, the receptionist had my file up and I clearly asked we reschedule the two appointments for the same day again. The receptionist also said this would be a 1.5hour appointment because it’s two procedures and that if I canceled there will be a cancellation fee for this reason. This is evidence that I did book in the two appointments for the same day. I went in for my appointment to be told they don’t do the zoom teeth whitening (which I specifically mentioned at the consultation and was told they do). This I could understand and be fine with another method. But then to be told that they can only do half the job and that I was not booked in for the two appointments just proved either they are really unorganised or change their mind to suit their needs. The attitude was also appalling and rude just because I had to cancel the first time due to COVID. Good luck if this is how you treat your patients! I was willing to pay more (although I had received a better quote from smile solutions, where I had done it previously but this time wanted somewhere local).

Fantastic experience: I had a clean today . The receptionist was courteous and helpful. The Dental team were very understanding of my initial anxiety and catered professionally and thoughtfully throughout the procedure making it quite easy and comfortable at every step. I look forward to seeing them at my next check up and I promise I won’t put it off for years again ! I highly recommend this Dental practice to anyone who want a caring , patient and professional service .

Negative experience: $350.00 my son was quoted too take a tooth out, wow what a joke, i have a written quote as proof, very upsetting to see professional people ripping off the public, specially a 20 yr old apprentice.

Positive experience: Good service. Dr Soraya gave good advice and did a thorough cleaning. However, I would recommend that you give them a call before coming in for your appointment to make sure that you're in their system. I booked my appointment online but when I came in, I was told that they had not put in my booking in their system. Thankfully, they had a cancellation so I only had to wait an extra hour for my appointment.
