Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr Alex Sebastian for regular dental care. Dr Alex Sebastian is one of the most caring, gentle and professional dentists I've ever had. From routine check-ups to more detailed work, he always takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure I feel comfortable and at ease. There's never a sense of being rushed, just genuine care and attention to detail. I've always been a bit nervous about dental visits, but those worries quickly disappeared with Dr Sebastian. The clinic is also welcoming and well-run, with friendly Emily and Dee who help make every visit smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate the care and kindness I've received, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Maroubra Dentistry to anyone looking for a dentist who combines skill and patience.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Alex and his team at Maroubra Dentistry. Alex was extremely gentle, he kept me informed every step of the way and I appreciated his honesty and his expertise. I’ve always had a fear of the dentist but Alex has helped to extinguish that fear.

Negative experience: Maroubra Dentistry has taken over from my original dental practice of over 30+ years. I visited Alex a few times for general check-ups, cleaning, and to address a bonding issue with my permanent wire on my lower jaw. During my first appointment, I was unaware that this new practice had replaced my previous dentist. Alex attempted to recommend additional x-rays, citing a “dark shadow” on my lower molars. I declined the x-rays multiple times, confident that my oral hygiene has always been excellent and that there was no such issue. As soon as he insisted, I felt we were not off to a good start. The cleaning I received did not meet my expectations; I did not feel it was thorough. Furthermore, the bonding repair he performed on my lower wire broke within two weeks, necessitating another visit for a fix. I had communicated to Alex my sensitivities to light and noise, as well as my discomfort with close proximity during dental work due to being on the spectrum. Despite this, the service provided did not seem adjusted to accommodate my needs. While I generally dislike dental visits, these experiences have made me even more reluctant to seek dental care. Additionally, my father encountered similar issues with Alex’s work and required consultation with the previously retired practitioner. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this dental practice based on my experiences and the service provided. It is unfortunate, as the retired dentist was highly skilled, and I found him to be very competent despite my discomfort with dental visits. I am relieved to have found a new practice that has been wonderful, does not attempt to upsell services, and genuinely understands my sensitivity needs. Additionally, they conducted a 3-D x-ray scan as part of an introductory package for the first 100 new customers at no extra charge. I would also like to mention that there is no “dark shadow” visible on my lower molars as my teeth are in perfect condition with no cavities.

Their work is immaculate and preformed without flaws and would go above and beyond for you. I would recommend this dentistry to anyone. There’s even nice background music and they can play stuff on the tv which you can watch from a chair making the experience even better.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Sebastian's dental office recently and was thoroughly impressed by the staffs level of professionalism and expertise. Dr. Sebastian's dental facility was immaculately clean and well-maintained, which immediately put me at ease. The comfortable waiting area and modern equipment gave me confidence in his abilities and expertise. Dr. Sebastian is incredibly kind and patient, which is especially important for those who may feel nervous or anxious about dental procedures. He took the time to listen to my concerns; answered all of my questions in a thoughtful and thorough manner. Some of my questions which may relate to dental specialists; Dr. Sebastian was able to answer them all. During my dental procedure, Dr. Sebastian's knowledge and expertise were evident. He explained, gave me the options and each step of my dental surgery process to me. His attention to detail and precision were apparent, and I felt confident in his ability to provide me with the best possible dental care. When I was under his care, I felt at ease. He is a dentist that cares about its patients; unlike many I have came across that rushes through an appointment. The clinic does accept private healthcare. The receptionist is incredibly responsive, very accommodating and understanding to my emergency request. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Alex Sebastian clinic for anyone in need of dental care.

The dentist JJ and the staff put me at ease immediately and were very warm and friendly. The procedure was comfortable and painless. I've even made my next booking here again now without hesitation. Fantastic experience: I am very happy with my experience. This was my first time coming here as I have recently moved to the area. This dentistry is on a residential street so parking is plentiful. My appointment was served on time and the staff were pleasant to talk with. I've had good and bad dentists over the years and Dr Alex seems to be one of the good ones. He is a friendly professional who performed my clean thoroughly, with minimal discomfort.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful, professional staff with a comfortable environment. The dentistry work done by Alex was phenomenal, I needed a filling for a tooth where past attempts at other dentistries failed, but Alex came through with results of perfection. He made for great conversation and showed the up-most professionalism. The rest of the team were also all so friendly, kind and considerate, leaving me with a smile (and a better one at it!) when walking out. 5 stars. It is always a pleasure to visit.

Negative experience: Had a horrible experience here. The dentist kept shouting and yelling at me during a surgery and when i came back because i had some complications post surgeries he kept on being so aggressive and defensive about it. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and results! Michael has been our family Dentist for over 15, maybe 20 years (I forget. I was a little boy). He is very attentive and highly skilled. I rave about the time I had two teeth extracted and didn't feel a thing (other than some throbbing the next day. He did a fantastic job fixing my tooth when I snapped it falling off a skate board. Honestly - you can't go wrong.
