Fantastic experience: I don’t know where to start with my review. My teeth were destroyed by clenching, grinding and long term medication. Pain was constant. I was mortified to smile. Eating was virtually impossible. Dr Dunn and Ainsley unwaiveringly advocated for me for months to have full mouth implants instead of slow staged restorations that would have been painful and likely have all failed anyway because the issues would still have been there. Due to physical and mental pain from a number of my workplace injuries, I can be unpredictable with mood and emotional regulation, resulting in my sometimes verbally lashing out inappropriately. The team at MSD have remained supportive, professional and kind when this has occurred. I am still relatively early in my overall treatment journey but surgeries and recovery for the removal of 25 terrible teeth, sinus lift, bone and gum grafts and 6 upper / 6 lower beautifully placed implants was literally a painfree walk in the park for me! While some aspects of these major procedures were unfamiliar to me, Ainsley and Dr Dunn have patiently answered my at times trivial and pedantic questions, reviewing and checking in with me often, sometimes to simply put my mind at ease. The pursuit of perfection and eye for detail with Dr Dunn is quite simply next level, and there is no relaxing on his part until each stage is meticulously completed. Time is irrelevant in his pursuit of this. Because he wants my implants and new teeth to last a lifetime. The entire team at MSD are special people but I have a soft spot for Dr Dunn, Ainsley and Gigi. Gorgeous people. I just received my next set of temporary bridges and they feel so natural, I am beyond excited for the finals one day. Do yourself a favour and pick up the phone to MSD especially if you need complex major work. It will be the best decision you make!

Fantastic experience: I have had an extraordinary experience at Macquarie Street Dental. My teeth were in such more condition I have required 4 on 4 implants . Day 1 after fitting my new top gum teeth I had very little pain and a smile I could not stop looking at in the mirror. A remarkable and already realistic comparison to my own teeth prior to their demise. Thank you to Dr Dunn and his remarkable welcoming staff I felt completely at ease and comforted in their care and knowledge from the very first phone call .

Fantastic experience: I was recommended by a Maxillo facial surgeon due to major complex dental surgery to see Dr Dunn. On my first consultation with Dr Dunn I had 7 failing implants, some had already fallen out and the remaining implants had to be removed. All put in by a previous dentist! Dr Dunn explained the process step by step. By this time I had lost confidence and thought I will never be able to smile, eat or speak properly again and would need permanent dentures. It was a long journey to replace the implants and I also needed a Zygomatic Implant. Dr Dunn and his dedicated team kept me updated with my progress and answered my questions during the long process. The day had come when Dr Dunn reassured me all the new implants are perfect and I am ready to have the permanent teeth. I can now smile eat and speak normally with confidence. My family and friends comment on how natural and beautiful my smile is now. Dr Dunn is the most caring person with an amazing eye for detail and a perfectionist. His team Ainsley, Marina & hygienist Hazel and all the staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr Dunn and Macquarie Street Dental for their expertise and professional excellence to care for all your dental work. I am very grateful to Dr Dunn and the team.

Fantastic experience: My in-laws introduced me to Dr Howe many years ago, from when he was located in Liverpool and now we have to trek it to Macquarie Street, because I cannot trust anybody else. I don’t think I can see anyone else. The whole admin team is amazing, friendly and professional which is also why I would travel just to even get basic 20min work done for a 45min train ride. Worth it!

Fantastic experience: I usually get very anxious at the Dentist, but my experience with Macquarie Street Centre has completely changed my mind and I’m even excited to get back there for my next appointment! The staff did an excellent job in fostering an environment that was not only professional but also calm and natural. Fantastic experience: I have had both upper and lower done as "all on Four" results excellent. A couple of months ago I had to go see a real estate agent in Mosman on my sons behalf. Without any prompting on my part the lady agent asked me where I had my dental work done. She was impressed with how good they looked and was looking for someone to do similar work for her father. I gave her the details. But they are not cheap

Fantastic experience: Had upper and lower all-in-one procedure with bone grafts. David's friendly manner combined with his awesome skill and expertise left me literally with a smile on my face for the first time in many years. His staff go that extra mile with appointments, scheduling to your needs and sending SMS's to remind. Even called a cab and accompanied me down to it to make sure I was Ok when coming out of anaesthetic. Follow up if needed is first class. I can not recommend David and his team more highly. However, I have been attending Macquarie Street Centre for Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry for over 10 years now and although it involves a 4 hour drive each way, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Negative experience: David Dunn why would you not respond to interview questions on A Current Affair on the 26/3/18 regarding what you did to my poor Dad? Your neglect of him after you dropped a screwdriver down his throat whilst installing his implants was outrageous. Months of stonewalling and then threats of legal action? Seriously? Do not use these expensive shonks.

Fantastic experience: I cannot fault Dr Dunn and the entire team at MSC. I was referred here for extensive specialist treatment which was a result of previous orthodontic malpractice. After being slightly scarred from this previous experience I was relieved when I met the team at MSC- they were extremely sensitive to my concerns, were professional and supported me at every step of my treatment. I had dental implants/bridge performed by Dr Dunn and I am very happy with the result. I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to anyone seeking dental treatment- I cannot thank Dr Dunn and his team enough!

Fantastic experience: I’m leaving this review for Dr Dunn and all his team after reading a poor review given to MSC Dental. I wouldn’t have known about this ability to leave a review only that a friend who I recommended to Dr Dunn was doing her own research into dental implants and mentioned to me reading the review during her research. I was shocked that this short, to the point 1 star review was so scathing of Dr Dunn, and whilst (if) this indeed did happen then I would imagine it would be extremely rare, and given Dr Dunn performs miracles within the cavity the size of a rodent hole it amazes me that he manages to do the work he does! I loathe going to dentists. My primary and high school years were (usually) a fortnightly trip by train to the chair to get my braces “tightened”. They were the horrid “metal mouth” contraptions that caused me no end of grief – but they did the job over a 4 year period; my profoundly buck teeth were eventually straightened! Fast forward and I’m now in my late 50’s with advanced periodontal disease. A number of teeth had fallen out, others were very loose and wobbly. No local dentist was telling me how bad it was! I went to Dr Dunn because he is the best. I get emotional just writing this when he clearly explained to me (and showed me via scan), just how bad things had become. Prognosis? All my teeth had to go. The bone loss was so severe that if I had any chance of doing away with the idea of dentures, he needed enough bone left to place implants. Having one tooth out doesn’t exactly excite me... but the lot!!? Now I was really anxious. I needn’t have been. I'd have to say 5 star from the minute I walked in to the centre to the time I looked at my beautiful new “teeth”. I'm very fussy... I had a million questions and as you have already read dental work is not something I look forward to. Dr Dunn and his team shared their expertise the whole way - from their comprehensive "here's what you can expect" one on one discussion and material to read, to the skill of the guy who sedated me so I felt no pain during the teeth pulling and dental implant procedure. Their after care information, quick response to any concerns I had post procedure, Dr Dunn demonstrated his expertise to give me a natural looking teeth, and if like me you thought you had “pretty good looking teeth”… just wait until you see what magic this man weaves. The before and after… is a WOW! Bravo Macquarie Street Centre.... thanks are not enough. I'll be seeing them for round 2 when I get the lower teeth replaced... (And when it’s all done... I’m more than happy to have my "before and afters" on their website with a link to this genuine review.) It’s unfortunate that Dr Dunn was posted a 1 star review because he and his team doesn’t deserve it (and the other excellent reviews support this). I now know Dr Dunn and his team well enough to say this "patient" would have received the same care and attention that every other reviewer has gotten, and I believe Dr Dunn would have been mortified that this happened and taken every action to resolve the situation. Sometimes people forget... we are all human (and this includes Dr Dunn).

Fantastic experience: I'm absolutely terrified of dentists, David was the only one that has ever made me feel comfortable in that chair. I first went in to fix a Toth I broke in an accident, could not have been happier with the end result, you could never tell it was ever broken. After that also had more cosmetic work done on front Crocker teeth and cavities treated, always the same result. I would now never even consider going to another dentist.

Fantastic experience: If you need a serious teeth treatment this is the best place to go. I have gone to numerous well-recommended dentists and dental surgeons and can confidently say that this practice is simply excellent and one of the best in Australia. Dr Dunn is literally one of the best in the world in his field – research him, he won multiple awards and gets invited to teach courses all over the world. You can trust his formidable expertise – and he will also listen to you and will help you. The results are remarkable: the teeth colour, the shape, the comfort are amazing. Friends and colleagues compliment my teeth all the time. And apparently, it’s not just me – I briefly chatted with other patients – they say the same. The staff is friendly, helpful, very competent and reliable. They may be busy, but never too busy to help you and they will go extra mile for you (Ainsley, Kylie, Claudine – thank you!) The practice runs like clockwork, but they are also very flexible and will do everything to accommodate you. And finally the equipment! The state of the art, latest, best CT equipment is right there in the office so you know that the advice and treatment you are getting is based on the best available evidence about the state of your teeth and gums.
