Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. I recently visited Lakelands Dentist for the first, and unfortunately, it was an awful experience. Upon entering the reception staff were polite and friendly but from the moment I walked in to the dentists room, it was like a nightmare. Both the dentist and the assistant appeared unsure of their tasks, with the dentist frequently changing his mind and needing to stop mid-procedure to change things and assist the assistant. Despite clearly noting on my forms that I suffer from TMJ, the dentist applied excessive pressure to my jaw joints during the examination, which caused significant pain. I expressed my discomfort verbally and physically, but he continued to press on my jaw and head, making my condition worse. He also insisted on offering advice about managing my TMJ, even though I’m already under the care of a specialist. It felt intrusive and inappropriate, especially since he didn’t know anything about my personal situation. The overall examination was far too rough. By the end of the visit, the area around my lips were sore, and my gums were in pain from the forceful probing. I even tasted blood at one point. When I mentioned the pain, the dentist acknowledged that my gums were inflamed but dismissed my discomfort and continued the aggressive treatment, which made the situation worse. During the X-ray, I was instructed to bite down on a bite block to stabilise my head. However, while my mouth was still attached, the dentist attempted to adjust the height of the X-ray machine, causing further discomfort. Overall, this was one of the most painful and uncomfortable dental experiences I’ve had. I would recommend that the practice review its techniques and patient care procedures, particularly for those with conditions like TMJ, to ensure a more comfortable and considerate experience for all patients.

Fantastic experience: I am someone who has had a lot of anxiety and fear in regards to the dentist due to past experiences at a different dentist. However at Lakelands dental today the dentists who worked with me we’re kind and understanding and took the time to explain to me what needed to be done and the treatment plan why still making sure I new it was going to be ok as he could see that I have anxiety. I would highly recommend Lakelands dental to anyone such kind and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: After having a not so good dental experience with another local dentist I found lakelands dental and Dr Vraj to be very careing and awear I was a little nervous to have some dental work done , he made me feel at ease and talked me thru his procedure . Ive now been back numerous times and feel completely at ease each time, thank you and the team there for careing and making the visits a comfortable experience now ☺️.

Negative experience: Pretty disappointing with Lakelands Dentist, very unprofessional no organisation between the team the dentist dropped the Xray slip on the floor picked it up wiped it and still used it didn't even prepare myself before commencing the treatment no glasses or protective slip worn, numbing gel was put on and the dentist was rough as with the clean she scraped the tool into my gum while pulling it she was not even apologetic toward it as it hurt. The dentist and her dental aid definitely did not work well as a team you could feel the tension within them not agreeing on how to do their job her dental aid was very professional and caring. Asked at the end of the exam what would be my next step and the dentist advised I would need teeth out tried to ask the process of it and all I got was the price and no process. I would not go back to a place that doesn't make you feel safe or comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I have a major fear of the dentist and haven't attended one in I wont mention how many years but I had an appointment on the 2/2/23 with DR Janine and her nurse Vanessa they both made sure that I was doing ok the whole time and just over all took their time and were super friendly and supportive. They made the appointment as less stressful as they could and because of them I feel like in time I will be able to one day overcome this fear. The receptionist Debbie and Alecia, were so welcoming on the day which made the appointment start off better already. My son has been a few times and seen DR Bhandari and we have never once had a bad experience.

Fantastic experience: My husband had a crown done front tooth 1 year and 10 months ago, different dentist. That tooth fell out when he was eating a pizza. We went to Lakelands Dentist and they were wonderful and gave him two emergency dental consultations to clean out the hole left - a hefty amount of both paid for by the government. A couple of weeks later they began making a plate for husband. Great service, great help when advising of maximum help available from the government for pensioners and the length of time you wait for it. We opted to not wait. Very reasonable price. Happy, happy and happy. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Lovley staff and dentist

Negative experience: Overpriced dentistry $228 for a clean for a child with braces that took 6 minutes no comprehensive oral exam. Friendly but overpriced. An 30 minute clean should not be charged the same as a 6 minute clean.

Fantastic experience: OMG..... the best experience ever... i am 6 months pregnant and had just travelled 6 and a half hours and was in so much agony with my wisdom tooth it was "8PM" on the long weekened and Kai the absolute legend stayed open till after 9 nearly 10PM just for me to make sure i was gonna be out of pain. This was the best customer service i have ever recieved EVER.... i most definitely will be returning, it brought tears to my eyes that he actually cared about me as his patient so much to do this, i wasnt expecting anything of the sort thankyou so much Kai you are a life saver.... nice tunes tooooo
