Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience for my first check up and clean. The staff are super friendly and accommodative. They make sure to give you plenty of breaks if needed. They were also very informative about future procedures that need fo be done and explained why while showing the things they have observed during the check up. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Nova Dental (now Maven) for many years, initially to have my bite corrected by Dr Koz who has now retired. It continues to be an exceptional dental practice. Carlie is the best hygienist I've ever had; friendly, thorough and extremely professional .. and always on time which is a rarity in many medical practices. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about my recent experiences with Dr Anthony and the team at Mavern. My child was nervous about her dental appointment, and we were in a bit of a bind with a last-minute booking due to an accident. He went above and beyond to accommodate us and make my child feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Anthony was incredibly kind, patient, and considerate throughout the entire appointment. Fantastic experience: A 3D printed Cerec crown was skilfully fitted by Dr Anthony O’Rourke in a single visit lasting just shy of 2 hours. Special thanks to Dr O’Rourke and his team for employing calming techniques as I have always been anxious about dental procedures. There was no pain and hardly any discomfort. I'm glad Dr O’Rourke is mentoring/training other dental practitioners--standards of treatment will remain high.

Fantastic experience: I can only speak very highly of my recent procedure with Dr Anthony O’Rourke. He was very professional and explained exactly what he was doing all the way through and I am extremely satisfied with the result. I had my four front top teeth replaced.

Fantastic experience: I have been fortunate enough to be a patient at Maven's for a number of years. They have always provided the highest standard of work and care and put considerable effort into making the visit pleasant. From cleaning to serious work, I cannot recommend these guys enough. All the staff are lovely, they're very welcoming and efficient so it almost becomes enjoyable visiting the dentist!

Negative experience: After gong to Nova dental for nearly 40 years I returned after my dentist retired. It was a traumatic experience as what should have been a simple crown was not! For the past 5 months since the crown I have been in constant pain, had two root canals and finally had the tooth removed by an oral surgeon. All up this has cost me $5000 plus the trauma of the pain. I am as you can imagine not happy with Nova Dental and will NOT be returning.

Fantastic experience: Jen was amazing during my root canal treatment. She was thorough, making sure everything was correct in the procedure and going smoothly. Sarah was a great assistant and made me feel really comfortable during my experience. I am usually quite nervous at the dentist but Jen and Sarah made the experience so much better. Fantastic experience: Dr Anthony was exceptional as a dentist; one of the best on Collins Street. He was very professional and walked me through everything with regards to the checkup, my x-rays and the scan of my teeth. I would like to improve my smile and he talked me through 3 options in a way I could understand. In addition, my follow up clean with Carlie was very thorough, and again, the level of professionalism and dental expertise walking me through what was and what needed to be done, was second to none.

Fantastic experience: I had a bad toothache while traveling (from U.S.) to the Australian Open. I got a quick appointment. Dr. Lam saw me, took an X-ray and confirmed I'll need a root canal. She offered to start the root canal if the pain got worse while I was in Melbourne, but we agreed that I should be able to manage the pain with Motrin until I get back to my dentist at home the following week. The office team was super-nice and very professional. The cost was very reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Regularly go to Dr Anthony O’Rouke and Dr Dillon here at Nova and they never disappoint. They are very professional kind and caring and always look after me so well, highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin….. the team at Nova dental are one of a kind. When I started my journey at Nova my fear was extreme. After explaining my fears to Jema she arrange an appointment with Dr Anthony and his team and it was the best thing I have ever done. Dr Anthony is truly amazing from getting his assistant to tap my shoulder while getting injections to the music he plays it’s just the environment I needed to get through my appointments with a little anxiety as possible. Fantastic experience: Important note: giving a 5 star rating in this review has nothing to do with the fact that I am going back to see Anthony in two days! Instead, I can confess, visiting the dentist has been a personal fear since childhood and speaking honestly I find myself more comfortable 'in the chair' with Anthony and the Nova team than I have ever been (no sweaty palms!). Seriously, not only do I have confidence in the dental procedures, but they are really friendly and I don't feel like I am being rushed on: chatting seems to be as much a part of each appointment as the dental work and to me the pricing seems very reasonable. Great job.

Fantastic experience: Best dental experience I have ever had. Anthony and all the staff are easily the most friendly and accommodating team. Patient focused at all steps. I had some quite extensive work needed but Anthony made it pain free with expert anaesthesia. Never pushed me to be uncomfortable. I could not recommend a better dental experience.

Fantastic experience: I recent saw Dr Anthony O'Rourke at the Nova Dental Clinic and cannot speak more highly of the service received. The treatment was spread across three visits and each time Dr O'Rourke was highly professional and took the time to explain the processes with me in a clear and concise manner. The facilities at Nova Dental were fantastic with 3D mapping of my teeth and small x-rays undertaken in the examination room. This will now be my regular dentist!

Fantastic experience: HAD a really painful wake up from a really bad tooth ache on the morning of the 6th of October "and the key word is HAD" after a visit to Nova dental and having the pleasure of seeing Dr Nikhita Arora I was left 1 tooth down after the filling I got when I was younger fell out the night before, I booked online as it was super easy and went down and will be a returning patient for sure. GREAT WORK THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Fantastic experience: Our new dentist went out of his way to explain proceedures to me, and to involve and educate the dental nurse. They were both extremely polite and communicative. The front of house team were gorgeous, happy to communicate and beyond helpful.

Negative experience: I am so disappointed with my recent experience at Nova Dental. Originally I went in for a root canal treatment by one Dentist. After several visits, I got told the treatment did not work and I would need to be referred to a specialist or alternatively they could do a Dental Implant in-house at "cost price". I went ahead with the Implant which was undertaken by another dentist. It lasted me less than 1 month (supposed to last 20 years!). The experienced dentist involved accepted responsibility and assured me of a refund which put me at ease. I told him I didn't mind starting the procedure again (at no further cost) as I didn't want a missing tooth. Soon after I learned he has just retired (in the middle of my treatment) and Nova Dental are no longer doing Dental Implants nor are they taking accountability of the situation at all. After weeks of "investigation", they simply referred me to the Health Complaints Commissioner stating: " Your Clinical Notes have been reviewed by the Clinical Team and as you have already been made aware both Dr ** and Dr ** no longer work for Nova Dental. I can confirm that both clinicians were engaged under a commercial agreement to AHPRA registered practitioners at Nova Dental who provided facilities and administrative services (Services). As a service provider to provide Services, the clinicians are not employees or contractors . The practitioners are responsible for the treatment that they provided to patients." I am astounded at just how bad this clinic treats its customers who have a concern. To add insult to injury, customers then have to deal with red tape rather than sit down with a manager who can find a reasonable solution to the problem. My advice after this experience would be to stay away. If something does go wrong, you will be left to your own devices to get the matter heard. Don't be fooled by the Collins St address (as I was)

Fantastic experience: Dr Anthony O'Rourke and his assistant Hayley were fantastic from start to finish. They are personable and extremely professional. This was the first time for our daughter to see a dentist too, and Dr Anthony O'Rourke and team were able to make us and her completely comfortable, our daughter really enjoyed her visit. The friendly service begins as soon as you enter the waiting area, Alice was friendly, professional and immediately made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend Dr Anthony O'Rourke and this dentists to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Excellent CBD dental practice, I have changed to Nova as my regular dental clinic and have been there for check-up, cleans, and fillings and have been very happy with the work, and the advice on brushing and flossing.

Negative experience: Shifty business here. My checkup/clean sessions were normally done by a dentist and an assistant. The last time I was there it was performed alone by a hygienist. I was not advised in advance. And they charged the same. I found another proper dentist clinic now.

Negative experience: Be aware of this dentist I had my implants done a few years ago and they broke twice. The first time the service was great but a young dentist changed the bite and therefore ground a lot out of the denture. Needles to say they broke again causing great embarrassment. But to top it of it came with a big bill attached claiming I did not wear my mouthguard. I have visited his surgery twice trying to rectify but he refuses to communicate. My advise STAY CLEAR
