Fantastic experience: I just wanted to provide some feedback regarding my consultation with Dr Calvin Kundi yesterday. I am super anxious about my teeth and attending dental consultations. This was my first visit to Kawana BUPA. I cannot praise Calvin highly enough for his patience, kindness, professionalism, gentleness, accommodation of my needs when the electric clean caused pain and for answering all of my queries. I learned so much and left feeling calm and confident about how to care for my teeth and gums. I would highly recommend Calvin to others. I was so impressed that I rang my dentophobic brother on my way home to tell him about Calvin. I have formerly worked investigating complaints about dentists. Calvin exceeded my expectations with his exceptional interpersonal communication skills and professionalism. I am so very very impressed.

Fantastic experience: Dr Beyza is absolutely the best, as she has a wonderful personality and takes enormous care and skill in all the work she does, so that you are never in any pain or discomfort. She has the latest high tech equipment and materials to ensure all her work is done with precision and her dental assistants ensure your comfort and the highest levels of hygiene are maintained throughout. I have nothing but praise for all the procedures I have taken with her and highly recommend Dr Beyza for any dental procedures, even the most complicated and daunting.

The reception team and my dentist were incredibly accommodating during this process, going out of their way to help find a solution to the issue. Excellent customer/client care.

Negative experience: Received a phone call to change my appointment, took the day off work to do so, someone clearly hadn't changed my appointment. The rude karen at the front desk wanted to act like they don't make mistakes and was quite unhelpful. When somebody feels the need to state they're being helpful 1000 times, they clearly aren't. Very unhappy and don't wish to deal with this karen again. Rude and unhelpful, get your act together guys! My teeth are waiting.

Negative experience: BUPA kawana are continually cancelling bookings and times that I have booked. I book 6 months out and then they cancel my family bookings and cannot keep to the schedule. Very unprofessional

Negative experience: The stupidity of booking systems these days. Booked on 30th November and was told the first available appointment was January 25th, a near two-month wait. That's cool I can wait, locked it in on the phone with the receptionist. I took time out of my working day to get to the appointment today only to be told that my appointment was cancelled. Apparently this is because I didn't reply "YES" to their booking confirmation SMS which was sent to an incorrect phone number 3 days ago, meaning, their staff put the wrong phone number in. They suspected the number was incorrect because they got a voicemail message for a "Grace" (not me), so they sent me an email yesterday which I didn't see until I was standing at their counter and they told me about it. So they've already admitted they suspected they had the incorrect contact details, and yet because they didn't get a response they just cancelled the appointment and put someone else in rather than waiting to see if I'd arrive to the appointment like I'd agreed to when I made the phone call. The stupidity of businesses these days: despite people going out of their way to make a phone call, book in, provide all their details, the business still doesn't trust that you will rock up, and instead assumes you've cancelled if they can't get in touch with you. Yes, I'm sure on occasion some people simply don't rock up, but why should you assume every one of your customers is the same, especially when you have clear reason to believe you'd put the wrong phone number in from the start? Thanks for wasting my time.

Fantastic experience: Dr Callum Ellis is exceedingly good and is always talking to you about what he is doing and what he finds during his dental checks. I would thoroughly recommend Dr Ellis at this practice.

Fantastic experience: Thank you very much, everyone, for making our visits to this centre relaxed and happy. The girls at the front desk were welcoming and friendly and helped to make claiming and paying easy and simple. Mark sorted out both our sets of dentures, quickly and efficiently, where previous dentists had failed! Roger, the dentist, was kind and thorough, and took the time to explain results both to my mother and to myself. Overall, we decided that the longer journey was well worth it, for the kindness, friendliness and thoroughness that was shown to us, and highly recommend the overall experience.

Fantastic experience: I have seen many dentist all over the country and I cannot express just how impressed I am with the high level of professionalism and service at Bupa Dental. The ladies at the front desk are always very happy and helpful but the main reason for this review is Dr Chris Galvin, he is just brilliant Dentist. Dr Chris is very down the earth, he explains the process in as much detail as you need, is very gentle (I hate needles, and to date I haven’t felt a thing) and he seems to take 1/2 the time of other dentists, yet he doesn’t rush and his work is on point. If you are not a fan of going to the Dentist, like I used to be, do yourself a favour and book into see Dr Chris Galvin at Bupa Dental Kawana.

Negative experience: I needed a denture adjustment and Bupa have a denture clinic. I got there for my appointment and the receptionist wanted to take my temperature so I held out my wrist. She insisted it was their policy to only take the temp on the forehead but it is my personal policy to not allow any unknown equipment to be pointed at my pineal gland and my policy is more important to me than theirs especially when there are many other dentists (and Doctors) that are more than happy to use the wrist. They wouldn't accept my wrist so the appointment was cancelled and I left. I am also a dental patient there so they have lost my business as I won't be back. Luckily I got an appointment at another denture clinic that afternoon and had no issues.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak higher of Bupa Dental Kawana. It is hands down the best experience I've had with any healthcare provider. Dr Chris is absolutely phenomenal and you can tell immediately that he truly cares about his patients well being. The dental nurses have all been lovely and welcoming. Not to mention the ladies at the front desk are also beyond delightful! I look forward to coming back. :)

Negative experience: i went to this dentis and i got my tooth stolen and they didnt return it to me i am now terrified and will never return becuase now i believe that they harvest the teeth from everyone and are selling them on the black market

Fantastic experience: I recently had dental work done by Dr Julian Leigh and I highly recommend Half Moon Dental. All the staff were inviting and kind. There was no waiting time at all and the procedure was gentle and smooth.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Half Moon Dental. I had a filling done, it lasted about 8 weeks then fell out. I went back to have it redone and the young female dentist that had done it was really angry with me as if it was my fault. She clearly didnt want to fix it. She jabbed the needle in my gum, she didnt wait at all for it to go numb and then started. It was so painful. I recently went to a great dentist here on the coast and I said to him that I cant floss around the filling that she re did. He told me that was because she has glued it to the next tooth. Very shoddy work in his opinion. So take my advice and find another dentist.
