Fantastic experience: After having the biggest fear of dentists growing up, ‘The Relaxing Dentist’ have changed my whole feeling towards getting my regular check ups. They’re all so welcoming and the clinic has a very calming atmosphere. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now! Can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic dental practice with top line dentist's and wonderful staff. You can truly relax. In the waiting room when you first arrive you are offered water or coffee or tea or later listen to your favourite music in the surgery, what ever calms you down if you are a nervous dental patient. Fantastic experience: Ring these caring ladies! Five star experience at this exceptional all female practice. I’ve seen 2 of the 3 dentists, Dr Victtoria, Dr Kornelija and the owner Dr Karen. Both very thorough, gentle and non judgmental. I get a follow up the next day and I can get advice after hours on their Facebook page from the actual dentist! They are so nice on the phone. I had felt rushed at my Melbourne dentist and not given time to ask questions. But here they explain everything, and show you photos which was more educational to me. I felt equipped with practical advice and I’m confident I can keep my teeth healthy long term now. They always check that you are comfortable during every visit. I liked the numbing gel, and that they warm the anesthetic. Big difference. Another lady said she was snoring she was so relaxed. They are modern and use a 3D scanner camera thing, instead of the big impressions which makes it easier for small mouths. They are very caring and reassuring, they listen carefully to what you are worried about. No pressure. The best dentists in Smithfield, even best in Cairns from my experience. I get everything done here now instead of Melbourne when visiting family. I can see why they have such a great reputation in Cairns.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Victoria for a wisdom tooth extraction and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I hardly felt the needle, which was a first for me, she was gentle and removed the tooth with ease and absolutely no pain. Fantastic experience: Dr Karen is an amazing dentist, she’s very caring, twice she’s fit me in with short notice for a tooth extraction and the other was an extremely painful tooth that she fixed. The rest of the staff are very friendly and easy to get along with especially Veria!

I’ve always been a little anxious about dental visits, but from the moment I walked in, I felt at ease. The entire team is warm and welcoming, and they take the time to explain everything clearly. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured—just cared for. My cleaning was thorough but so gentle I almost forgot I was at the dentist. Great team overall, with everybody very friendly. Also liked that they give explanations and show photos of whya treatment is required and what they are doing. And then show a close up photo after the work has been done, so you can see how it looks. Very true to their name, relaxing and stress-free experience :)

Fantastic experience: Very glad to have finally found a great dental care team in Cairns. Dr Victtoria is fantastic at what she does & not bad at banter either. Highly recommend the clinic and the lovely staff who make the whole experience pain free. I’ve since also had a complex root canal done with Dr Karen, who made it look easy & pain free. She also helped me understand the bigger picture of dental and overall wellbeing associated with sleep, teeth grinding and snoring. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Dr Karen, Dr Victtoria and staff - just 1 word - outstanding. My wife and I flew into Palm Cove to celebrate the New Year with family and grand kids. I had just fractured a crown on a lower tooth which required immediate attention. I explained the urgency with Dr Karen and she fitted me in as the last appointment on New Years eve. Dr Victtoria took over the consultation, arranged for the X-ray and fitted a temporary crown. Victtoria then arranged for the X-ray and supporting notes to be forwarded to my local dentist. Karen followed up the next morning (New Years Day) to check on my condition. I was pleased to advise that I was fine and that the family had a great night. It is the combination of timing, friendly, efficient and professional service that led to an amazing outcome for me and my family. Congratulations Karen, Victtoria and staff. Fantastic experience: I had a good experience when I got work done twice. Dr Victoria is patient, professional and very friendly. She makes one feel relaxed and discusses every action with the patient. The place is spotless and has a very good ambiance to it. There's a lady at the reception who is super lovely and friendly. If you're seeking a dentist, I highly recommend The Relaxing dentists.

Negative experience: By far the worst experience I have ever witnessed and experienced. I booked for my 4year old daughter to come see Dr Victoria as she had a horrible dental experience elsewhere. As soon as we walked in dr Victoria asked my daughter what her name was, asked her to show her how she writes her name and then slammed her with a series of inappropriate questions questions- does she have siblings, does this sibling have a girlfriend, does my daughter have a boyfriend (very inappropriate) then told her that her dad should lock her up because she has nice eyes. My daughter stood frozen and unsure why she was intimadtibg her with these types of questions, then proceeded to ask her if she knows how to talk. My daughter then started to cry and Dr victoria then had the audacity to ask her if she was shy and if she scared her. All this in the first 2minutes of meeting my daughter. She then came and said to me that she was trying to break the ice, If she wanted to do that with. 4 year old she could have simply asked her what her favourite colour was or face animal. Please do not come her as it was far from a relaxing experience. As my daughter was petrified of going in, so I had to leave and was charged a $95 fee.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience! I was in Palm Cove for a wedding and unfortunately I was suffering from extreme pain. So I needed to have an urgent review of the situation. And my Doctor was able to move her afternoon around so coild squeezed me in between the wedding ceremony and the reception! Her detailed review and advice was second to none. Even taking the time to show Me the correct way to floss, which I had never been shown by my own dentist. I wish I was able to see her as my regular dentist. Or I capuldmjust holiday in Palm Cove every six months and make my dentist cheak ups whislt there. She is that good and put me at total ease. If you live in the area, seek her out, and if you do come to FNQ seriously think about becoming a long distant client. I for one will do so. Brilliant.

Fantastic experience: Well, It’s taken me 72 years to come across the ULTIMATE TOOTH FAIRY !!! Having arrived from Adelaide for a holiday very recently, I experienced considerable pain resulting from a fracture to a tooth. Per chance , I located Dr. Karen Anderson’s practice here in Palm Cove. Much to my surprise and delight, Karen kindly fitted me in for an appointment that same afternoon! As previously mentioned, I had unknowingly happened upon the most, caring, informative, knowledgeable and professional dentist I’ve ever come across! Karen is an absolute delight who oozes a total commitment to her patients and profession as a whole. Her follow up care and support was there even after the procedure! I truly believe that, as with any profession or service industry, there are those very special few that are seemingly born to put their heart and soul into their chosen field. Fantastic experience: I was so nervous, anxious and scared about having major dental treatment without a general anaesthetic due to some traumatic experiences as a child. Karen acknowledged and validated this and created a plan that I felt comfortable with to move forward. On the day of the treatment despite having a meltdown everything was done at my pace with a variety of pain relief and treatment methods to do the work needed. I won't go anywhere else now thank you.

Fantastic experience: I see my dentist in Melbourne every 6 months and have done for about 20 years He has a hygienist clean my teeth each time then he has a look which takes all of 5 minutes and charges a huge amount Unbeknown to me he was holidays and the hygienist who cleaned my teeth is also a dentist she told me I needed a filling behind my upper front tooth this tooth is veneered?? It didn't feel right from the moment I left the surgery Early the next morning I flew to Palm Cove for 2 weeks of holidays. I woke up and the tooth was cracked right down the middle. Where I was staying suggested I contact Karen Anderson of Northern Beaches Dental The whole experience with Karen was amazing. She made time to see me within hours made me feel at ease and I was being looked after by a dentist with incredible knowledge and experience. She explained all the options and fixed my problem I wish she was closer to where I live as I would be changing dentists Thanks Karen sensational

She was referred to me by a friend after I'd mentioned a less than satisfactory experience at another dentist. I have no hesitation in recommending Karen to people who are nervous or have had less than satisfactory experiences when getting their teeth checked. A dental surgery is not normally the place where you feel relaxed but if there's any one who can make a visit to the dentist a stress free experience it's Karen Anderson.
