Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything you need in a dentist and more. I got fit in for a same day appointment! As a new client! I didn’t even know that could happen. Dr Henry was non-judgmental, efficient, nice and overall a great dentist. I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout and the practice seemed to be really accomodating to those who may have additional needs when seeing a dentist. I also got fitted in to get my molars sealed the same week! (On a Saturday!) Preventative dental care for the win Not to mention I had no pain throughout and a minimal gap fee with private health. They have also already reached out to make sure everything went well from my end. I found this place on google maps and will now trust them with my teeth thankyou

Negative experience: Please do not go in there for veneers Felicity does not do a good job. I had to get mine all re done elsewhere. Everything was wrong the colour and the shape. I was embarrassed for months walking around with them.

Dr. Henry Chen is amazing—highly skilled, professional and knowledgeable, he thoroughly explained my treatment options, especially given the complexity of my tooth’s position under a previous bridge. He performed the extraction and adjusted the bridge with exceptional care. The entire team was professional, and the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating. Fantastic experience: Today, with the help of the Dernancourt team, I achieved an impossible dream - showing up for two teeth implants! I have been terrified my whole life - randomly finding this team 2 years ago has literally saved me giving up completely and having all of my teeth removed. Their knowledge and experience is outstanding in and of itself - but add to that their bedside manner incorporating: empathy, kindness, compassion, encouragement, and cracking humour, any patient could not ask for more, but specifically for patients suffering with a fear or phobia that is making them avoid the dentist - please just go for a consult - you will not regret it! This poor clinic is stuck with me for life! Grateful does not begin to describe how I’ve felt finding this approach to dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had treatment carried out under IV sedation and was very happy with the outcome. As a patient with major life long anxiety in regards to dental work, my visit meant a lot to me. I was very anxious but communication was good and I felt understood by both Dr Lam and Moon. I really valued the explanation of the process and understanding of my concerns. Dr Lam did a great job of communicating with me during the sedation process, the IV was inserted without pain. I have never been sedated in such a way before and had a number of concerns but it really couldn’t have been better. It feels like a bit of a revelation and a solution to the concerns that I have had for so many years. I am very happy with the results. Thank you

Fantastic experience: As a person with heightened and extreme dentophobia, attending a dentist for anything whatsoever - even something as relatively mundane and innocuous as a routine checkup or cleaning - can be wrought with anxiety bordering on controlled hysteria for me. This is where the team at Dernancourt Dental Surgery - part of Adelaide Family Dental - excel, and go way above what one expects from dental clinicians. Drs Alex Lam, Felicity Lam and Kevin Moon have all had the privilege of myself as their patient for several years now. My previous cancer treatments have also presented various dental related challenges to them. Be it a simple check up, a cleaning, filling, tooth extraction, IV sedation and surgery, or implants (they have treated me for all of these) - these three amazingly skilled individuals have treated me with kindness, professionalism, respect and technical adeptness - while always having my dentophobia and anxiety in the forefront of all they do. They are also wonderfully kindhearted people first and foremost. I have no hesitation in recommending anyone with dental needs to them - at either their Dernancourt or Melbourne St clinics where I've attended. Everyone there, from the friendly caring faces at the desk when you walk in, all have your well being as their priority. While I will never actually look forward to 'going to the dentist', I will always look forward to seeing Alex, Felicity and Kevin. "Now open wide and say 'aaahhh'".

Fantastic experience: I came to Dernancourt Dental with severe PTSD relating to dental treatment in childhood. As a result I had neglected my teeth and had some severe problems. Dr Alex Lam was incredibly patient with me without being patronizing. He managed to save a lot of my teeth, and I can honestly say, he has not hurt me once during my many treatments. The team care more about their patients than any other dental practice I have seen, and anyone looking for excellent dental care would do well to book an appointment at the Dernancourt Clinic, or their rooms at North Adelaide. I am so thankful that I found this practice, and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who like me, had or have, an extreme fear of dental visits.

Fantastic experience: This places gets a massive TWO THUMBS UP from me!!! All my life I have been afraid to go to the dentist but Dr Lam and his team are amazing. They make you feel comfortable and explain every step of the treatment process. I never thought to have braces to fix up my teeth but am now getting Invisalign with Dr Felicity and it is honestly one of the best decisions. Dr Felicity talked me through the whole treatment process and how long it will take. I have recommended this practice to all of my friends and family. Negative experience: I would slect zero stars if this was an option! I paid over $5000 on orthodontics and my mouth is now no better than when i began treatment. I have seen another two professionals who have advised invisalign (clear correct) treatment was never going to achieve the results i was after due to a misaligned jaw. This would need to be treated in order for the orthodontics to work. A very big oversight by Dr Lam and a complete waste of my money!

Fantastic experience: Came to the surgery with an infected tooth which 2 other dentists refused to remove for the reason it would be either better to keep and root canal it or to see an oral surgeon for removal. Dr Felicity Lam removed it woth no issue. On inspection of the tooth she agreed it was better to remove as the quality of the tooth was degraded throughout. Once again thanks Felicity! Great work! I will now look at getting an implant with your surgery.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Dernancourt Dental are truly amazing. I have been going to this clinic for 2 years and have just had a baby. Before going in for a clean, I was hesitant to how it would be taking along a 3month old. When my baby became unsettled during the visit, the staff went above and beyond. The receptionist came into the room and kept my baby amused so that I could get the clean done. This is a amazing clinic and after a long time of avoiding the dentist, I am now happy to go.
