Negative experience: wouldnt go there, new lady at desk strait away judged me, Sat in chair less then two minutes said couldnt pull my tooth and stihl charged me $55, for rude service, evrerything has changed, i will never go to ballina again, waste of time, my enrgy, even the dentist offsider didnt want to be there, i could feel the tention between them, i had plenty of money for the tooth pull, just money grabbing people, do not go there

Fantastic experience: I can’t talk highly enough of the team at Bytes Ballina. Friendly, accomodating, skilled and efficient…it’s bizarrely a pleasure going to the dentist!! I made the switch to Bytes for an emergency and won’t go anywhere else now.

Negative experience: Took my son in due to facial swelling from a recurring tooth infection. I explained clearly that we are on the public GA waitlist, as my 7-year-old has been previously traumatized by dental work. We were on a short holiday in the area and needed urgent help. We managed to talk my son into trying happy gas for the extraction. Initially, everything went smoothly, until it was time for the actual procedure. My son is a very anxious child, and understandably became frightened. The dentist started off reassuring, explaining that the process would be easy and quick. But when my son continued expressing fear, and expressed that he was still feeling pain, things quickly escalated. Instead of continuing to show patience, the dentist began telling my son he was behaving badly, and even said he wouldn’t be getting anything nice from me because he's bad. She compared him negatively to other children, which only scared him more. At one point, the dentist attempted to forcefully open his mouth—leaving him terrified and even more traumatized than before. After that, we were essentially kicked out. I was told how fatal this could become in a way that felt more like fear tactics than compassionate care. No one explained our options going forward, what to look out for if things got worse, or even how the anesthetic (which had already been injected) might affect the abscess. I was left feeling completely helpless, crying as we walked out of the clinic. Now I’m sitting up at night, too worried to sleep, monitoring my child while we wait to return home and try to find someone else who can actually help. As a single mum, this whole experience has left me overwhelmed and heartbroken. I’m sure this clinic may do well with cooperative patients. But if you have an anxious or “challenging” child, or if your child has had prior trauma, I would strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Bytes Dental Ballina is amazing from the moment you walk in and greeted by wonderful Nicole, and all the staff are great. I hadn’t been to a dentist for over 20yrs due to bad past experiences Dr Kim treated me for 6 appointments, fillings, chipped teeth, 2 teeth extractions. Kim’s pain management is unreal, I had no pain during or after all visits. Dr Kim is an amazing dentist and she wears different funky shoes every time I visit which makes me smile. I highly recommended Bytes Dental If you want to get your choppers fixed.

Fantastic experience: A world-class, affordable, local dentist. Ideal for anyone visiting Ballina on vacation. I called for an emergency root canal procedure at 9:00am on a Saturday. By midday Dr Kim Davies had talked me through a seamless and pain-free dental procedure. Incredibly professional, calm and reassuring service from start to finish. Bytes Dental isn’t just good, they’re genuinely exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Dr Wendy Nguan and the team at bytes dental Ballina high enough! They’re warm welcoming and calming. Wendy is so efficient and talks you through the whole process. Very happy with their care!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience today despite having my daughter’s tooth removed. The front desk staff member was very friendly, caring & helpful. Dentist, Danette Ryan, was wonderful at calming and distracting my daughter whilst removing the tooth with a large root. We were very impressed and pleased with the overall service. Happy to have found this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful dentists. Friendly, welcoming staff who remember regulars. Available on Saturday's so you don't have to skip a day of work for a check up. When I first attended in need of root canals they worked with me on an affordable plan, and even helped me navigate the confusing world of health insurance when it became more expensive to continue privately. Very attentive to minimising pain during procedures. They have taken me from a world of mouth pain from lack of dental care as a child, to being pain free and only needing to drop in for check ups. Can't recommend highly enough.

As soon as you walk in you feel right at home, great stuff that are super nice and explain what's going on and help in anyway they can. Ill never be using another dentist after coming here. Highly recommend them

I've had some very bad experiences in the past and have denied myself dental treatment for over a decade. Bytes haven't cured me from my phobia but I'll definitely be back for furt her treatment. Fantastic experience: This dentist takes all the fear of dentist away. My children are always happy to go. The staff are friendly and care for there needs so well that they are made to feel like a guest and not a patient. The staff are bright and fun. The kids are instantly at ease. The surgery itself is interesting and decorated in a sci fi theme which is fun and funky. The hygienist is a smiling kind hearted dentist who my children love. I would highly recommend this dentist.
