Fantastic experience: I wanted to leave this review even though it’s many years later, because the work truly speaks for itself. I had braces done here around 16 years ago by Dr Coombe, and to this day my teeth are still perfectly straight. I’m still incredibly grateful. Not only did the orthodontic work hold up beautifully over time, but the retainer wire placed behind my teeth has remained completely intact for 16 years, which says everything about the quality and precision of her work. I recently drove past the clinic while visiting the coast and felt compelled to finally leave a review, because results like this don’t happen by chance. The care, skill, and long-term outcomes have genuinely made a lasting difference. Thank you, Dr Coombe, for work that has truly stood the test of time. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

The way everyone is so patient with my son and speaks to him with respect and understanding has made the whole process of orthodontics incredibly smooth and stress-free. Positive experience: Firstly I’d like to mention that Dr Coombe has a lovely bedside manner and I felt very comfortable with her. I’m giving a 3 star review, not because anything aesthetically wrong with my invisaline results , it’s more to inform future patients of what can be expected of you are primarily going for pain relief due to TMJ , jaw and tooth misalignment. If it’s purely for aesthetic, then go right ahead. The level of care and results were very good. I did feel that my front top teeth weren’t 100 percent but I accepted that that was going to be the best result based on my jaw asymmetry and the fact that with my TMJ pain , 2 years of treatment was more than I could handle so I accepted this is the final result . In regards to my expectations of pain relief, this is where there was confusion , on my part , and I’m not going to comment on that however I want to make future patients , who are considering invisaline yo first make sure they have had all necessary scans done first. It’s not standard but since the completion of my invisaline , an MRI showed a permenent disk displacement. If I’d known this prior to invisaline, I could have made a more informed decision . According to Coombe orthodontics , it would have made no difference to their recommendation to starting treatment, however , if I’d known this, I more than likely wouldn’t have put any more pressure on my jaw considering previous occlusal splints hadn’t reduced any of my pain. When you have a jaw misalignment, teeth misalignment and TMJ it’s quite overwhelming and confusing and when you add anxiety and lots of prior conflicting information from other medical professions, it’s a melting pot of emotions. Just get a second opinion on everything , whether it be dentistry, orthodontics, facial surgeons , TMJ centres or ENT’s It turns out , my sinus issues were silent reflux, plus I have a disk displacement and as for my ears becoming permanently becoming blocked after using a prescribed occlusal splint , and possible nerve pressure and arthritis , your jaw and teeth aren’t to be reckoned with . If only I’d known back then , what I know now . Now I have a permenent condition and I’ll never know if it was exacerbated by occlusal splints and/ or invisaline I’m not placing any blame in anyone here , I’m just informing people that invisaline may jot make your pain better and it may potentially make it worse. Don’t this lightly and pay more attention to what the expectations are as when you are in pain, you don’t always see things clearly It’s all a bit of a blur now

Fantastic experience: Saved my daughter’s teeth. We unfortunately had been to an Orthodontist elsewhere for her braces, who had ruined my daughter’s teeth and would not fix the issue. After seeking a second opinion from another Dentist, we were referred to Coombes Orthodontics and have had 1.5yrs of 5 star treatment. Her teeth are amazing and perfect. Fantastic experience: Just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr Coombe, I found the whole experience very good tailored and personalised and Dr Coombe listened to me and what I wanted to achieve at my initial consultation. Fantastic experience: Finally at 56yrs I have the smile I always wanted. It wasn't easy with a stubborn incisor that was rotated 90° but we got there using Invisalign. When I first saw Dr Coombe I asked if she could turn turn my stubborn tooth which had resisted turning with other treatment and she replied "I can do anything!", she was right :) Thank you Dr Coombe and your incredible team at Toukley.

Fantastic experience: We moved to Coombe Orthodontics to help progress my daughters braces. From the moment our first appointment was made , we've had nothing but a great experience! While my daughter has her wires changed, i get receipes, tips and tricks on everything else. Lots of giggles and a very relaxed atmosphere. If i had more children , they'd be back ! Anybody who has ever hated the thought of orthodontics , needs to visit these guys.

I will never regret going for that second consult because the personal and friendly service that Coombe Orthodontics provide is beyond amazing! Every adjustment is an absolute breeze and the staff ensure that I am comfortable and happy on all accounts. Whenever I go there, the girls at the front desk, the girls assisting when I’m in the chair for my treatment and Dr Coombes, are always. smiling, caring and most importantly efficient. After having 4 retainers eaten by puppies, it is also never a problem to have it replaced.

My experience started off with me going to another orthodontist in Gosford on the Central Coast to have a quote and was nearly going ahead with the treatment plan that they had provided me until a friend recommended me to Coombe orthodontics at Toukley which was the best decision I have ever made. Angela was able to give me a more suitable plan for my teeth which also saved me so much money with the exact same results!
