While the whole team are wonderful, in particular I'd like to mention Dr. Sowmya Sastry and Millie the dental nurse who were absolutely fantastic yesterday as I went through root canal procedure. They worked beautifully as a team, explained what they were doing, and made every effort to put me at ease. Their kindness and gentleness were just what I needed in my nervous state. The reception team is also friendly and helpful, and I am grateful to Tiffany who made such an effort to get a script to a chemist for me so that I could pick it up after hours.

Fantastic experience: After losing two of my front teeth in a car accident, the staff at Blackburn clinic dental centre helped me negotiate the TAC insurance claim to pay for the costs. Andrea Manley underwent a complex procedure of putting in two bridges that fixed my teeth. The outcome was amazing and i couldn't be happier. I have my smile back and my teeth look better than before.

Fantastic experience: Sowmya has been excellent in guiding me through the Invisalign process. I was nervous at the start, but she explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with the results so far! If you’re considering Invisalign, I highly recommend her. The staff are all so lovely and caring.

Negative experience: Best avoided. 2 basic fillings for $585. Extremely expensive. Cannot understand how 45 minutes of basic dentistry should be this expensive. I had to pay in $450. Guess I cannot afford to ever go back to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Had wisdom teeth extractions done by Dr Sowmya and nurse Erin today and couldn’t be more pleased with the way it went ! Although my teeth were a little tricky to access they made sure the process was as comfortable as possible for me and so quick ! Very professional and friendly and I will be back to see them for all my dental needs

Fantastic experience: I’m very Happy. When I went in for my filings they were very patient with me and understanding, they also were very gentle when moving my mouth and head. They asked if I was ok a lot which was nice. They also understood that it is a long intense procedure and allowed me to listen to my own music during it to help me relax.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sowmya and her nurse Kelly were amazing - they did everything they could to make sure my extraction was as smooth and pain free as possible, including constantly checking that I wasn't in pain, providing more numbing agent when I requested it and even put Avengers on the TV for me. Highly recommend this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Thanks for Dr Sowmya Sastry ! Dr. Sowmya Sastry discovered a dental issue and strongly recommended that I undergo cyst removal surgery. She explained to me the serious consequences if the cyst were not removed. I had consulted with other dentists previously, but none of them had emphasized the importance of the cyst. A few months later, I arrived in Sydney and underwent cyst removal surgery last week. I am currently in the process of recovery. The surgeon informed me that the surgery was successful but advised continued monitoring for the next six months to a year to prevent cyst recurrence and other potential issues. I am deeply grateful for Dr Sowmya Sastry's timely advice and thankful for the birthday wishes from their clinic, which was very heartwarming! From your patient, Ming.

Fantastic experience: After struggling with the worst upper denture I ever had, on my Aunt's advice, I went to Dr Andrea Manley at the Blackburn Clinic Dental Centre who took the time and consideration to make me a new upper denture which fits so well, and they look like my real former teeth! Dr Andrea did a sensational job for me and now I can't stop smiling whereas before I would cover my mouth with my hand! I have just left my root canal appointment by Dr. Andrea Manly and may I just say, my god I enjoy going to the dentist now because of that woman and the amazing team here at Blackburn Clinic. I fell asleep during my session and not once in my life has that ever happened, true story. Imagine this: you’re sitting on that dental chair, relaxing music is playing and you have a view of the trees swaying by the wind.. plus to top it off, Dr. Andrea is impeccable at what she does and always asks if you’re okay during the procedure. She has a very calming nature about her and she is so lovely. The toothache I originally presented with has gone to God. Sayonara. Adios. So if you’re still wondering wether this is the right place for you? LOOK NO FURTHER.

Negative experience: I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the last 2 treatment I received, however I will concentrate of my recent visit. I informed the female dentist that I have mental health issues, specifically PTSD and severe anxiety. Despite this, the dentist did not ask for my opinion or input regarding treatment plan , but instead consulted with my husband. ( Previous male dentist acted exactly the same, consulted my husband instead of myself) Furthermore, today I felt she spoke down to me, did not take my concerns seriously. Her tone and demeanor were dismissive and belittling, which only served to further trigger my already severe anxiety. I expect to be treated with respect and consideration, especially given my disclosed mental health concerns. Your actions were unprofessional and unacceptable. I am disappointed that my visit to your practice was so negative and traumatic. I hope that in the future you will take time to listen and consider concerns of your patients, regardless of their mental health status. My suggestion is trauma informed training, because this is not an acceptable way of treating clients. Were no longer in the 1950.

Fantastic experience: I have had fantastic service from the Blackburn Dental Clinic. Whilst travelling in a remote area and in severe pain, a script was sent to a pharmacy in remote WA to see me through until I returned. I have also had many repairs done and several implants which have all made a huge difference to my dental comfort and health. I can’t thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from this dental surgery today. Both the dentist (Dr Andrea) nurse Emma are professional and personable. The treatment options were explained clearly and calmly. I am a nervous patient but found this as pleasant an experience as I have had at the dentist! Nice clean modern surgery was nice too. Negative experience: Our family went here regularly. But when l last went l had to wait as they taken another patient in my time slot. Then rushed my appointment and said l have to come back another time as they had run out of time. Not my fault But l now go elsewhere where they care about there patients. So l am happier to stay with them

Negative experience: Very unhappy with the treatment by one of the dentists. I have been having to get a lot of work done elsewhere to fix what was done.

Negative experience: would not be going back here, left me with very bad damage after treatment. the worst thing was, I walked in early the next day and no one could see me for a few hours. I only wanted someone to look at how swollen my face was. I finally managed to get a script from one of the female dentists (Dina?) after some time, but she didn't even see me. surely handing out prescriptions without even seeing the patient is illegal. definitely won't be going back. Have once seen a male dentist here, who was a lot better, but I still won't be taking the risk going back. unfortunately put me off dentists for life. that said, the reception girls were as good as they could have been.

I personally see Dr Don McArthur and he is friendly, looks after my teeth well! Highly recommend. After trying another dentist, I had to come back as it's just not the same!
