Fantastic experience: Dr Robert is amazing! And oh so gentle, he really does lives up to the company name of ‘Gentle Dental’. I had a real fear of Dentists before I found Dr Robert and now I happily see him without a worry. My son also enjoys going to the Dentist and he’s only 5yrs old, that in itself says a lot! Dr Robert is so friendly and caring and so is Louise at Reception. Highly recommend this amazing Dental surgery!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant place. Always caring, from the attention desk to the wonderful Dr Thong. Always the best disposition, you can tell they care and it also shows in the extremely reasonable prices. Also nothing ever feels rushed or like they're trying to push unnecessary procedures, quite on the contrary. We need more places with good people like this, I'd give ot more stars if it was possible.

Fantastic experience: Let me preface this by saying how much I’m not a fan of going to the Dentist. I had so many not so good experiences as a kid that followed me into adult life, so I always struggled when I had to have even simple things like a check up and clean. Moved to the GC and needed to find a new Dentist. Recommended by a neighbour to try Gentle Dental and OMG I’m so very grateful for the recommendation. Dr Rob, Louise & the awesome team at Gentle Dental have restored my faith in Dentists. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel welcome & relaxed. Talking with them about my previous experiences helped them to understand my feelings & they did everything possible to ensure that my stress levels didn’t get the better of me. I needed some dental work undertaken (including some replacement veneers) over a few appointments. Each and every appointment was calm and without pain. Along with being extremely happy about the professionalism and quality of the work I had done (I love my new veneers!), I came away feeling like I’d finally found a Dentist that actually listened and made the whole dental experience stress free. Kudos to them all. I’ve found my new Dentist and I definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with Dr Rob & team this week and I honestly cannot recommend enough. I have never in my 36 years had such a thorough tooth clean to the point I feel like someone else's teeth are in my mouth, my teeth feel amazing, brand new! Fantastic experience: My family and I have used Dr. Robert for a number of years, and he has always provided excellent care at very reasonable prices. Dr. Robert and his team go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are very caring and reassuring with small kids and adults alike. Having had less than stellar dentists in the past, I would highly recommend Gentle Dental.

Negative experience: I was told that I needed a crown on one of my back tooth as I had intermitten pain, without any X-rays done, I was told there was a hairline crack. I felt that I needed a second opinion as I wasn't happy with that diagnosis. I was surprised to hear from another dentist that I did not need a crown. I have lost trust in Gentle Dental and will never use them again. Always good to get a second opinion.

Negative experience: I am the unlucky one. After being charged $305 for having a crown replaced (glued back on again), which is TWICE the going rate, and it falling off after 3-4 months with NO RECOURSE, I'm really NOT a happy customer. AT THE END of the PROCEDURE, which took AGES -Robert had had a cancellation so I went in early- it was obviously a SLOW afternoon for him, he said (not at the start, if he'd spoken up then, I'd have gone elsewhere): "it's not a very good crown so i don't know how long it will last...." I expected it to last more than 3 months. A lot longer! When i phoned in to see what could be done, Louise his secretary said "we don't give refunds". I got NOTHING. Not even a "he'll be happy to replace it." A VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER INDEED!

Fantastic experience: The BEST dental practice ever!! Myself and my family had been going to Gentle Dental for years then we moved to Sydney and my teeth got butchered! When I moved back to the GC I went back to Gentle Dental to get my butchered teeth fixed. Dr Robert and his dental assistants are so lovely, friendly, caring and kind. Dr Robert is not out to make money he genuinely cares about people having good health and dental health. I can not recommend Gentle Dental highly enough. If you are scared about going to the dentist (which I was for a very long time due to having such bad experiences) then you should definitely go to Gentle Dental! I never feel the injections and everything is explained to you about the procedures. I actually look forward to going because it’s just such a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr Robert Thong gave me the best dental experience. He fixed my damaged tooth and made it look better than it has looked in years. It was also the least amount of pain I have experience in the dental chair. I can't believe it. Assistant Jen was very helpful and calmed me down when I was nervous. If everyone had a dentist like this to go to more people would go and not avoid getting their teeth checked. Thank you

Fantastic experience: If you have a needle phobia or general nerves about the dentist, Gentle Dental crush them both. If I could give more stars I would, I’ve never had a more painless/comfortable dentist experience before this. I unfortunately used to avoid going to the dentist due to these reasons however, like the name suggests, they prioritise patient comfort along with fast and top quality work. As long as I live on the Coast, I’ll never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Lifelong fear of dentists. Left my back teeth in disrepair. Came to this place—ended up with four fillings, three wisdom tooth extractions, a molar extraction and plan to have an implant done sometime in the future. Haven’t felt a twinge of pain and I feel like they have really conquered that phobia.

Fantastic experience: I took my mum here 6 months ago before she had her hip replacement when she had a cracked tooth. Dr Thong was very good with her, organized a specialist because of surgery requirements, and made sure she was in the best position to successfully undergo her operation without complications from dental problems. I then went to him when I lost a filling and was very happy. He knew what pain interventions were necessary (and not). Very thorough and professional. Also reasonably priced. I love it that someone with 30 years experience can still be enthusiastic about what he is doing!

Fantastic experience: As someone with a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, I am soooo lucky to have found this place, Dr Thong is the absolute best dentist I have ever had. He went to great lengths to make sure my visits are always calm, friendly, and incident free. He is always very patient with me and I couldn’t ask for better service :)

Fantastic experience: Dr Thong is truly the Zen Master of dentistry. I have had a major fear of dental work for as long as I can remember, but Dr Thong is the Dentist I have been looking for. He really is something else. He really does care about his patients and their level of comfort. He told me on my last visit...'The difference between me and other dentists is the other dentist will give you pain relief and get to work. I will give you pain relief and give it time to work and only then will I start to work' He really takes his time re assuring and laying out the options available at the same time as educating. I have referred my whole family to see him, he is just that good.

Fantastic experience: Just as the name suggests, very gentle and explained everything in great detail. It's not easy to feel at ease and comfortable in the dentist's chair, but the team here made me feel just that. What I was dreading to be an uncomfortable and largely unpleasant visit was nowhere near the discomfort I was expecting, and it was all done in no time.
