Fantastic experience: Dr Caroline and Dr Andrew are absolutely amazing! A long overdue review as I’ve been going to Smile Hawthorn for the past 3 years now and they are the best dental clinic I’ve ever been to. Dr Caroline did such an incredible job with my braces. She listened to my concerns, talked me through the various options, pros and cons, prices, answered my questions, and we settled on a treatment plan. Throughout each appointment Dr Caroline would explain exactly what she was doing, why she would do something, and frequently checked in on me to make sure I was okay. I used to never show my teeth in photos and now I can’t stop smiling in front of the camera! Dr Andrew is so friendly and personable. Like Dr Caroline, he will explain exactly what he’s doing while working and check in with you to make sure you’re okay and if you need a break. I used to be nervous when going to the dentist, but now I always feel so comfortable when I have my check-ups and teeth cleaned. I honestly couldn’t recommend a dentist more highly!

Fantastic experience: Dr Andrew is definitely the most personable dentist I have ever met! He went above and beyond with his explanations of options for bridging the gap due to a missing tooth (and was in no way pushy, just very informative) and removed some glue I've had behind my teeth from braces from about 15 years ago (and I have seen many dentists since then, he is the only one to have noticed/ bothered to do that!!). He is extremely kind and bubbly and his supporting staff was also wonderful. I am so happy to have found a great dentist that I can comfortably keep going back to! Fantastic experience: I don't like going to the dentist but I had a good experience here. They explained everything to me before they did anything. They always checked to make sure I was ok and would progress only if I was fine with it. I just had a cleaning this time but they also did a scan so I know what work I might need to get in the future.

Fantastic experience: Dr Andrew is very thorough and he gave me a number of options for treatment which I appreciated because I don't have private health cover. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The facilities seem to be very new and they were able to do x-rays and show me the pictures instantly.

Negative experience: Had the worst experience ever from this dentist, I booked in for teeth whitening and the dentist seemed to be in a hurry, said my teeth just needed cleaning and wouldn’t make any difference! He cleaned them sort of and next thing I was out of there in 20 minutes $150 ! I’ve just been to Thailand had my teeth cleaned and whitened they thought my teeth hadn’t been cleaned for years omg , they did an amazing job and whitening four shades lighter, don’t ever go to this dentist worst experience ever

Fantastic experience: I have never been a fan of going to the dentist avoided it at all costs, but from the moment I stepped into Smile Hawthorn I felt welcomed and relaxed. I was never made to feel guilty or embarrassed by my teeth, I was informed about everything clearly and given multiple options so I could understand each option and outcome. Having extremely crooked teeth I had a orthodontic plan drawn up and I knew all of the steps that were to coming in the following years and was able to pay off the bill over time elevating the stress of money. Having both orthodontist and dentist in the same practice made life easier as I could see both in the same visit eliminating multiple visits. If you are looking for a family friendly relaxing welcoming dental practice look no further!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Andrew is a saint. He is such a patient and kind person. I have had a few horrible experiences with dentists, which in turn has made me a very anxious patient. He explains all prodedures really carefully and in detail before and while he is doing them, so I understand what's going to happen each and every time. He also tells me funny anecdotes and jokes around a lot which makes me feel at ease. He checks in throughout procedures to see how I am going as well. While I may still need a valium or 2 before I go in, Dr Andrew as made my trips to the dentist better than I ever expected. All staff at Smile are so accommodating and kind every time I go in. The place is always immaculate!

Fantastic experience: I have used Smile Hawthorn as my dental clinic for over three years now and the service is just so impeccable. I broke my tooth just this very week and Dr. Andrew filled me in on a fully scheduled day and fixed the tooth on the day. The dental assistant then called me today to follow up on me to see how the new tooth settles. They are a nice group of people who are extremely good at their crafts. Would recommend to any friend of mine.

He went above and beyond his duty of care to ensure that my dental onlay fitted perfectly with the contours of my teeth! Thank you Smile Hawthorn, now I can't help but constantly feel the smooth ceramic surface which replaced the gigantic cave that once took up the majority of my back tooth!
