Fantastic experience: So today I visited Dr Anton Esterhuysen, I am not normally one for reviews, however, where amazing service and integrity is received, I feel the need to thank. All I can say is Dr Esterhuysen not only an excellent dentist, more importantly, he has the highest integrity, which is rare today. I went in and prepped for a crown, and whilst prepping, he said “ I have bad news for you”. At this stage I started sweating… what’s the bad news I asked. “You don’t need a crown, only a new filling “ he replied. I said but isn’t that good news… he said “not for me, I lose money on this”.. . Thank you Dr Esterhuysen, you made my day. I don’t think there’s much more I can say… if anyone needs a good, honest dentist… look no further. Ross.W

Fantastic experience: Seriously impressed with the quality customer service and expert dental treatment at Maven Dental Yokine today! (so much so i have made time to write a review despite being a full time working single parent with sick children). Highly recommend dentist Vijaya Wagh who treated me for a filling on a tooth that is severely worn down and sensitive (i'm a teeth grinder), like most people i dread going to the dentist and needles, she delivered the most gentle, painless and reassuring dental work i've ever experienced in my 47 years of going to dentists across Perth, Sydney and London. I barely felt the needle despite it going in very deep to several areas of my jaw and gums, she took time to ensure the anesthesia was fully effecitve before starting work, then was unbelievably fast and efficient in performing the work so i actually left the appoinment early and my repaired tooth felt as if i'd never had a problem - unlike past experiences with other dentists where the tooth often feels uncomfortable and rough in my mouth for a week after. She also has a kind compassionate bedside manner and listened to my concerns intently. Also thanks to Jolana on the front reception who was friendly and helpful and took time to explain the cost and private health rebates. Will be returning to this dental clinic no question.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Shocking experience at this place glad my time here is done. Do your self a favor and Have your dental records sent to new dentist. Will never return to maven dental Yokine. Use to be really good back in the day with previous owners.

Negative experience: Booked appointment, received my confirmation email and my reminder text message. Showed up and for the third time they had No appointment for me. Actually let the person who booked my spot go in to the dentist. When I asked why, they said oh she had other things to do today!!!! Like I didn’t. Very unprofessional and I will not be returning after many years coming it’s very disappointing. Think twice about booking- seems like the office manager is not very competent.

Fantastic experience: I have been a long term patient for many years and I’ve just realised I hadn’t left a Google review! From the receptionists, to the hygienists and dentists, the team at Maven Dental are outstanding. Each interaction I have is of a warm and friendly demeanour. I have lots of dental work due to an accident, as well as having a rare birthmark and I always feel in good hands. I couldn’t recommend Maven Dental Yokine highly enough for all dental procedures.

Fantastic experience: I've known Dr Anton since my highschool years. I had a bad ice skating accident which, 15 years later, resulted in losing one of my front teeth. After having an unpleasant experience at another practice I went to Dr Anton desperate for some help. Walking around without a front tooth in your mid-20s does give your self-esteem a bit of a knock. Having a daughter himself, Dr Anton understood the emotions I was going through. He handled the situation with kindness and always made a point of making sure I was 100% comfortable with how a procedure went before leaving. After struggling with this for 3 years, we had my final check up yesterday and I'm over the moon with the final results. A massive thank you to Dr Anton and the Mavin Dental team for giving me back my confidence!

Negative experience: My mother has received extremely poor work and service at this practise. Dental implants were poorly done resulting in bacterial infection in her gums. Resulting in severe pain and much further expense to rectify the new problem. Anton did not take any responsibility for this issue and did not even have the decency to see my mum in person when she presented at his clinic in severe pain. Strongly recommend not to use this practise. Unhygienic, unprofessional and zero accountability. I will be taking this case further to DHS! You can’t take advantage of vulnerable people like this!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental practise! I'm a scaredy cat of a patient, dont do well with needles and alike but both Dr.s that I've seen at this practice are always patient kind and gentle. Fantastic experience: I had an extremely painful tooth and called the receptionist at Maven dentist. She was so nice and advised me she would call me as soon as a cancellation became available with Dr Emma. I have extreme anxiety when going to a dentist even when I have no pain. I was seen by Dr Emma and advised that my Molar had completely fracture straight down the middle to the root. I had to have it extracted. My legs were literally shaking whilst on the chair. Dr Emma put the numbing cream on my gum and didn’t rush me at all. I didn’t even feel the injection. The only thing I felt was the pulling pressure of the extraction. I heard Dr Emma advise her patients that she would be late for there appointments due to having to treat me urgently due to pain and extreme infection. I see some comments on here about having to wait. Before making comments of this nature please be assured if you are urgent and need treatment you will be a priority. With that said if you are frightened of going to the dentist as I am, I can recommend seeing Dr Emma, she is patient, kind and gentle. Thank you Dr Emma and the caring dental nurse who helped me yesterday.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this clinic for 8 years under the care of Dr Michael Neuman. This doctor is by far the best dentist I have ever been treated by. He is honest, thorough and very knowledgeable and efficient. I have proceeded to recommend all my family and friends to him who have also transferred to him. Furthermore all admin staff go above and beyond and are very helpful! Cannot recommend enough!

Negative experience: Not a fan. I went in for a scale and clean and for this dentist to check a molar that is being sensitive to see if they could notice anything wrong with it and potentially discuss future treatment of it if any. Instead I got a comprehensive examination of my full mouth which I did not want with this dentist. I have my own regular dentist I've been going to for the past decade. Felt like it was a sales pitch trying to push products onto me and to get the max amount of money out of me. Nearly $400 later and I still have a sensitive tooth with no treatment plan & did not get my scale & clean.

Negative experience: Booked in a check up and clean for 9am. Checked in on the day at 8.55am with my name and was asked to take a seat in the reception area. At 10.15am I asked the receptionist if I would be going in shortly and was advised they had put me down as a no show and asked to reschedule to 1.30pm on the same day which I politely refused. Very disappointed in the service and will not be returning.

Negative experience: We went in today to get my mum’s teeth cleaned and we were appalled by the service. The dentist that served us did not even clean all her teeth and did a half hearted job. We entered the treatment room at 9AM and came out at 9:13 AM which to me, is completely unacceptable and ridiculous. They charged us 300 dollars for a mere 13 minutes, greedy to the point that it is disgusting. I am aware that the quality of service for teeth cleaning does not directly correlate with time but 13 minutes isn’t enough to do anything at all. When we called to give them feedback about our experience at their clinic, the practice manager was rude beyond belief. She stayed ‘professional’ until the end and told us that she has never had a problem with the doctor cleaning her teeth and tried to guilt trip us into thinking that we were complaining because we were too fussy. The practice manager cannot even meet the basic requirements of her job and refused to send us a reminder for our appointment as she is “not required” to do so. I would highly advise against going to this dental clinic as it will be a massive waste of your time with disgusting service.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS spent thousands with them have nothing but ongoing tooth problems that they were suppose to have fixed!!! do yourself a favour go elsewhere!! Also rude office managers

Negative experience: 6 years ago I had my veneers done and absolutely loved the experience from the first time I walked through the door to exiting with my brand new set of porcelain veneers. Unfortunately I chipped one of my veneer that I had previously done at Maven Dental so I had high hopes to have this completed with a great outcome. This was not the case. Patients are in for dental work not to be disrespected in any way. I felt so uncomfortable in the chair as Dr Anton proceeded to talk about my personal life and questioned the infidelity of my relationship with my partner because of the “size” of engagement ring which is highly unacceptable. I also asked how much the procedure was going to cost and he rudely replied “I’m not going to quote you on the job because of the rock on your finger, unfortunately we are in the lower cost bracket than most places” I was in complete shock about how unprofessional he was. I was quoted $1400 for the replacement of my original veneer and was told I will “look a bit funny for a while” due to having my natural tooth exposed until the new veneer was made. I asked roughly how long would that take.. 2-4 weeks!! He did not offer or suggest a temporary until the new veneer was made, but expected me to expose my natural tooth for up to 4 weeks! That’s ridiculous. I will NEVER go back and I will tell anyone that has had their veneers done there to never go back!!! It’s not the same.

Negative experience: I literally had to find another dentist because Maven Yokine has rescheduled me time and time again - makes me book in 6 months ahead of time then calls me (without fail) the week before the appt and has to reschedule as if this appointment has come out of nowhere and they are mysteriously unprepared. Then I'm pushed out an additional 3 months again. Which will be rescheduled again. Surely this is a joke. I am unsure if they overbook or just don't have enough staff. Constantly having staffing issues. Sort it out or get in front of it. I have run out of patience, it has been years of this below average service. To top it off, the customer service is lacking to say the least. Although staffing issues aren't their fault, their trash attitudes don't make it any easier. Don't work in customer service, no one is forcing you. Don't waste your time going here unless you just want to spend all your time rescheduling appointments and never actually want to see a dentist. I just then managed to make another appt with another dentist literally tomorrow. How is Maven even still open at this point. It's embarrassing.

Fantastic experience: Dr Michael Neuman is an absolute star!! I highly recommend him. He has transformed me into a nervous patient that required gas to a patient that now can comfortable just sit in the chair. My teeth are now amazing thanks to him and his brilliant skills. If you’re looking for a dentist that’s kind, comforting and well skilled he’s definitely your dentist.

Fantastic experience: Amazing dental surgery. Staff at the desk very friendly and helpful. Technician staff the same can't fault any thing about them. My dentist Dr Lai is the greatest dentist I have ever had. Kind, gentle and knowledgeable. I felt so comfortable thanks to Dr Lai. I suffer from anxiety, but I had no problems.

Fantastic experience: Maven Dental always meets my dental needs so I can leave with a smile on my face!

Negative experience: I have been to this practice multiple times but it only takes one bad experience. I had an appointment for that I arrived 20 min early for after waiting 40 min in reception I approached the staff to find out how much longer. The staff comes back advising a dental emergency came in and it would be an additional 30 min. While this was likely true, as there really isn't a reason to lie, no one walked in during the time I was there. Which means one of two things, they knew about the delay/dental emergency and didn't care enough to inform patients or reception is too inept to give accurate time frames. Either way I left and won't be back, Lance is great heres hoping he moves somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr Anton and his incredible team highly enough! They are just wonderful. From the moment you enter the practice to the finished result. I had a lot of cosmetic and general dental work done. It was a long process and Dr Anton was amazing all the way… to say that he is a perfectionist is an understatement…. For sure. My whole family will now become patients of Dr Anton. I’m incredibly happy with my results. It has certainly given me back some confidence with my new stunning smile. Fantastic experience: I went there today for the first time and the staff there are really welcoming and professional, I had a check up, clean and scale plus x rays and I was given good advice on some work needing done and options I have, answered any questions I had and there was no peer pressure to get extra work done, I've made another appointment and have no hesitation recommending this dental practice to anyone, thanks again to everyone there.

Negative experience: Hi visited Yokine Yesterday .only wanted scale & clean but dentist examined my teeth & charged me $40 with HBF& told me I needed urgent dental work at a cost of $4000? Visited another dentist today who said there was no urgency for Two cracks in my back molars? Beware get a second opinion as I will not be returning to Marven Dental Yokine or any Maven practices. I feel Maven takes advantage of vulnerable people& I am a pensioner

Fantastic experience: This morning I required an unplanned appointment for my 10 month old son. He was squeezed in without any problem, and when we were arrived we were greeted by Sharon and her team who were fabulous and took the time to help us as much as possible. Dr Esterhuysen and Maria then reviewed my son and were wonderful with him - especially considering they don't normally see wriggly 10 month olds! Thank you to all at Maven Dental - you really helped to minimise a stressful situation for us.

Fantastic experience: Would never go to any other practice! Had my tooth extracted today after a failed extraction from another practice. Dr. Sophie was amazing and made me feel comfortable in what I expected to be quite a painful procedure. She explained to me the situation and provided me alternative options on what to do but respected my decision at the end of it. The procedure was as pain free as I could’ve imagined. The front desk staff were very helpful and accomodating. While their fees are very reasonable, they also have financing options for more expensive procedures. Thanks again, Maven!

Fantastic experience: I had my Glamsmile veneers fitted just over a week ago and can safely say that I could not be happier with the results!!! I am so happy with my teeth, they are like my own teeth but much better which is exactly what I wanted. The entire team including Dr Sean and Jodi made me feel right at home and strangely unafraid of being at the dentist (I am not usually much of a fan). The entire experience was amazing and I couldn’t recommend them enough!!! Their pricing is also amazing and the finance options are also fantastic! I can’t stop smiling now with my new smile :D
