Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Lizzy for lip repositioning surgery and couldn't be anymore happy with the results. I have always been self conscious of my gummy smile and exhausted all other options such as tooth crown lengthening and botox to relax the lip. The recovery was easy and only had a bit of pain the same day as surgery but it was gone by the next day. I highly recommend lip repositioning surgery to anyone who is unsure if they should take the leap. Thank you so much to Dr lizzy and her beautiful team for looking after me.

Negative experience: This place quoted me 14k for a gum graft. Luckily i got a second opinion who said that amount was insane and quoted me between 3-4k but also said I didn't even require a gum graft. I am so relieved i trusted my gut and went elsewhere. The periodontist i saw was speaking in a condescending manner and outright rude way to her lovely assistant in front of me. I felt uncomfortable the whole time. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Negative experience: After several years of treatment I am leaving after poor service and fees reaching heights almost unsustainable, left hanging and being asked to pay unreasonable fees and not followed up when seeking some basic consideration as an existing full paying client, very poor service and very disappointed

Negative experience: My husband had a referral to this business, was asked for a deposit, my husband explained that his insurance company would be covering all costs for his dental treatment and as he had to do a 6 hr round trip to go to Newcastle he was unable to front the $99 deposit. They never said to him they had cancelled his appointment due to the deposit not been paid. My husband then drove to Newcastle, left at 5am to be there at 9am and he was told he no longer had an appointment. All this business needed to do was text or email me to say this appointment had been cancelled but they did NOT. This business very unempathic to his lack of financial means, their inability to empathise and manage my husband as a new patient was appalling. I have never dealt with a business with such a lack of REAL care unless you can pay upfront. What a disgrace that you made my husband feel ashamed and embarrassed when he turned up for his appointment. You were always going to be paid for his treatment the insurance company had sent them a letter saying this. Very dissapointed and very unprofessional for NOT letting him know in writing you had cancelled his appointment, would not recommend this business

Fantastic experience: For someone who has a fear of the dentist, my experiences at Smile Specialists Suites have been amazing. The entire team at Smile Specialist Suite is understanding and patient. They inform and check in with you at every step of each procedure.

Negative experience: I'm writing this to warn others about this terrible service with extremely high costs, rude staff and judging by the other reviews I'm not on my own. Sounds like this used to be a good practice but I can assure you with my own experience and my daughters experience it was horrendous. They tell you wrong information and send you msgs almost daily for payments and really charge through the roof. My daughter just wanted a general clean and was charged $399 for the first consultation and told by the reception that she could have her teeth cleaned on the same day. On the day of the appointment she was told to come back for teeth cleaning at a cost of $1800. There were charges on there for dietary information and smoking counselling which she did not need. Also my appointment was booked for surgery and I was told I would be under full anaesthetic for the first part of the operation and then light sedation for the second part. Anaesthetic man calls me ⁵ days prior to surgery saying I don't feel comfortable putting you under as your high risk and I can't do it. My deposit was refunded and I will go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: A very professionally run clinic with highly qualified staff attending. I had some serious issues with my teeth that were rectified with a number of appointments. Staff listened and explained every detail about the procedure prior to each appointment. Gentle and kind staff. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have found all members of the Smiles Specialist Suite team to be thoroughly professional, caring and approachable. They have thoroughly answered my questions or concerns around the plan for both non- surgical and surgical treatments I have undergone. Follow up care has also been excellent. I was initially referred as I needed a peridontist who offered an IV sedation option. The anaesthetist was also excellent, attentive and caring.

Negative experience: Horrible experience, drove over 2 hrs for a consultation that cost me $400 for them to tell me all I needed was a general clean, was then quoted $1900 for a clean and “advice” & another $1480 on top of that for a mouth guard. Absolutely waste of time, go to a normal dentist that don’t over charger.

Negative experience: Overcharge and charge for services not even given. You pay in advance. Very expensive compared to other periodontists

Negative experience: Although Smile Specialists came with good reviews I didn't even make it to consultation before getting a referral elsewhere. After having surgery unexpectedly I had to call to move my appt back by a week while recovering. I was told I needed to pay a further $99 non refundable deposit on top of the deposit I had already paid. To avoid paying a further deposit I provided a hospital discharge summary which they deemed from reading that I was in good health to attend my appt even though I had just had a nose reconstruction. They then requested a medical certificate! I found this all ridiculous and have never come across anything like this in my life. Have now made a new appt elsewhere with no fuss.

Negative experience: I was a customer here for years, from when Dr Kim ran the place. He suddenly went away and there are new owners. The cost of having my gums checked has risen from $300 to $500 under the new management.

Negative experience: No patient confidentiality what so ever. They could not care less about your privacy

Negative experience: They do a good job, but I had the worst customer experience ever with them. It was miscommunication on their behalf which resulted in me having to find another dentist and not by choice.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this team of professionals highly enough. My dentist said I needed to see a periodontist. I presented myself with some trepidation wondering if there was any point and OH MY GOSH. I was treated promptly with care and dignity. For the first time in any dental related visit I was given comprehensive information and was then able to take this knowledge and use it to not only maintain the condition of my gums at the time but to improve them, I was also able to use the new found knowledge to critique future care that was recommended and will be happily placing my gums in their hands. I am a critical care nurse by profession so I have a reasonable bank of science knowledge and so from a personal and professional perspective I was totally impressed with all aspects of my care.

Fantastic experience: I rang the Smile Specialists back in April post a 2 week gum recession and being in a quite distressed state they made an availability for me to get as priority. I have now had 2 procedures and a surgery with Dr Lizzie. She is the very best at what she does and I have a exceptional outcome resulting in saving my teeth. Dr Lizzie was upfront and direct setting my expectations whilst being understanding to how stressed I was about it all emotionally and financially. I really can’t recommend Dr Lizzie enough. ⭐️

I first met Prof. Alessandro Quaranta and Dr Lizzy Hui when they took over the practice in early 2020. I was nervous at first as I have ultra-sensitive teeth and frequent plaque build up. They tried different methods and I sincerely appreciate their patience and professionalism. I can’t say I will ever love the experience of having my teeth cleaned, but I feel in very good hands and that they have my best interest at heart. My teeth and gums have certainly improved. Fantastic experience: I work in the Fly in Fly out industry, working away for 3 weeks then home for 1 week. I recently had an urgent dental issue shortly before returning home for my 1 week break. At short notice Prof Alex and Dr Lizzy were able to accomodate several appointments (working through lunch breaks and very late Friday afternoon). I have been to a number of periodontists and dentists over the past year and she is the only one who picked up on my condition, in less than five minutes! She takes the time to explain to you what is going on and what the plan will be going ahead. Her and her staff are so accomodating and will do anything they can to help!
