Fantastic experience: After having my wisdom tooth removed, I developed swelling and was worried about an infection. I tried to visit my regular dentist, but they were closed for the holidays. The receptionist at Marion Bupa Dental was so understanding and listened to my situation. She immediately spoke to Dr. Michael Kim, who fit me in right away. Dr. Michael Kim was kind, explained the procedure clearly, and took great care in draining the pus. He also gave me helpful advice on how to care for my gums afterward. I'm really grateful for the receptionist’s quick action and Dr. Kim’s professionalism and compassion. Highly recommend Marion Bupa Dental for anyone needing care, especially during busy times. Thank you to Dr. Kim and the team!

Negative experience: I strongly suggest to not go to this place. When the dentist says you have a hole in your tooth and needs filling and the tooth needs attention soon,- well I go to book for a appointment and can't be seen for 6 months! What type of business are they running.

Negative experience: Been going here for years, rang up for an appointment, after nearly 10 minutes of "um.... sorry" the receptionist said their next available appointment is nearly 5 months later. How can you have a 6-monthly check up that's 5 months late? They're chronically overbooked, don't go here.

Fantastic experience: Jasmine in AMAZING!!!! I often get stressed about going to the Dentist, however Jasmine makes the vist an easy one. With her kind and caring nature, she goes at my pace and only does whats needed in the visit. I highly recommend seeing Jasmine at this clinic!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I took my 3 year old son for his first dental checkup.. and….. he wanted to go back to the dentist the very next day! Jasmine was amazing!! Cannot rate her highly enough. Not only was she kind and caring but rapport was built instantly with my son. He was laughing, she was laughing, I was laughing. Amazing experience! So thank you Jasmine!

Negative experience: The newly renamed Bupa Marion dental has a clear policy of upselling and for the third time I had the experience today that they just take the photo of your teeth as part of cleaning process and make you pay the extra gap (without asking or informing the patient about the same ) it’s a good sales mechanism but not ethical at all . Will avoid them in future

Fantastic experience: Jasmine is amazing . 4 months ago I went in for a deep clean. She advised me that I would need to undergo gum therapy which would involve a local anaesthetic due to 9mm pockets in the gums. I returned for quadrant gum therapy expecting a bill in the $$$$ hundreds over 4 visits. I was pleasantly surprised. Jasmine’s deep clean and expertise, showed a full resolution of my gums reducing the pockets from 9mm to 5mm. I no longer needed the gum therapy. I highly recommend this practice. It is a practice that purely focuses on the client and their needs. Not their bottom line. Thankyou Jasmine you are a ⭐️ ⭐️ A big thanks to also to Dr Michael and the lovely reception team who always greet you with a smile. BUPA dental in Marion is highly recommended with fabulous staff and a practice which is always immaculate. Highly recommended 11/10

Negative experience: Read all the feedback.. there’s plenty of recent negative comments about this place - my most recent experience was yesterday. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Since the rebranding from Clearly Dental to Bupa Dental, there has been a high staff turnover. I was told my regular dental hygienist has since moved to a different clinic. The service from the ‘replacement’ hygienist was deplorable. Rushed.. she was checking her watch, interrupted by another staff member who also appears to be new and needed some sort of assistance on the computer, she also accidentally stabbed me in the neck with one of her instruments.. spoke to me like I was a naughty school boy when she found out that my floss regime was not up to her standard - it was demeaning! Then tried to upsell me with X-rays that were not required and a 6month appointment - in 58 years on this planet, I have never felt so angry about a dentist appointment! And never required 6monthly appointments. This clinic is all about money and the upsell, absolutely deplorable customer service, rude staff members.

Negative experience: With BUPA insurance, I went to this Bupa clinic for regular exam and cleanning to avoid gap as much as possible. But every time they added items not fully covered and didn't ask me first. All these items I haven't seen in other dental clinics' bills...

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I was looked after by Dr Chrispha for a dental crown. I was super nervous going into the appointment. Dr Chrispha and her dental nurse were unbelievable I. Putting me at ease. Explaining every step to be taken and having fun at the same time. I can easily say that this appointment was the most refreshing and delightful appointment at the dentist that I have had in my life. I am 66 years old. Thank you so much Dr Chrispha and her nurse. You were and are both amazing

Negative experience: They charged me $158 for a supposedly 50m hygiene appointment, actually less than 30m, then on top of that $69 extra for 'periodontal' work done by a hygienist, a periodontist is a specialist dentist, not a hygienist. A rip-off.

Fantastic experience: I recently having been visited this clinic and had an outstanding experience. The clinic itself is very welcoming, with a comfortable and clean environment that immediately puts you at ease. One of the standout features is the ease of scheduling appointments—there are plenty of slots available, making it very convenient to find a time that works with your schedule. Andrew, my dentist, was particularly impressive. He is incredibly helpful and takes the time to explain each step of the process, which really helps alleviate any anxiety. Negative experience: Do you have covid and need a dentist? Then this is the place for you... I went to cancel an appt due to covid, only to be told that I could still go in for a 90min procedure regardless (and should do so.) On cancelling, I was then charged a $50 rescheduling fee as apparently "due to SA Health having no current covid restrictions " my late notice cancellation due to having covid incurred a charge as it was within 48 hours of the appointment. Very unimpressed.

Fantastic experience: Huge recommendation to Dr Irene Kim of Clearly Dental at Marion. I’ve a long history of dental trauma and she (and her nurse) have been nothing but respectful, caring and accommodating. I feel safe in their care and trust wholeheartedly. Can’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I recently required a number of services from Clearly Dental and was very impressed with the whole process from the ease of booking to the final treatment. The reception staff were very pleasant and efficient and the appointments were on time. I had the good fortune to be treated by Dr Michael Kim. I cannot speak highly of his skills as a dentist, his professionalism and his good nature. I can confirm the various procedures were completed at the highest standard and amazingly pain free.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing staff and service couldn’t rate higher! I travel from Victoria to go to this clinic and believe me it’s worth it! No gap payment prices are half what they are in Victoria and service is twice as good. They greet you by name remember and remember you and what’s going on in your life! Not many places do that now! Dentists are thorough and explain everything and the girls explain everything to you exceptional service! Also prime location I schedule my optical, hearing and dental all on the one day in the one spot! Don’t change guys!

Negative experience: I booked an appointment for a routine checkup 6 months prior, day of they call me and cancel the appointment and say they are able to reschedule me for 2 months time. Can be put on a cancellation list but as a full time university student and shift worker am unable to provide consistent availability that I can come in. Not pleased!

Negative experience: If I could give a zero I would !!! This used to be our dental clinic for many years and our normal dentist has left. So we went back again ! I went in a couple weeks prior to my son’s appointment and asked who would be good for him as he has Aspergers. And change is hard. So they said Brittany would be great for him as she deals with children. So we waited till our appointment. Go in today and was informed that they changed my son’s appointment to someone else as there is a child who wants to see her. Why did we bother making this appointment and is my child not as important as someone else’s. And why was I not called so I could tell my son as well. ABSOLUTELY POOR SERVICE AND RUDE AND WOULD NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. NO APOLOGIES FROM THE COUNTER STAFF. AND WAS THINKING THE WHOLE FAMILY WOULD STILL GO. !! Disappointed and really disgusted at poor service !!!!

Fantastic experience: I rec'd exceptional service for my first dental appointment from booking an appointment to completion of work. The team made me feel comfortable and relaxed as I was anxious not being to a dentist for some time. I neednt have been worried. A pleasant surprise with my account (Clearly Dental is a Bupa preferred dentist) my gap was very minimal. I shall certainly be returning relaxed in the knowledge that my needs will be cared for in a timely manner by friendly , helpful and professional staff.

Positive experience: Over 6 weeks and still waiting for a refund for a $100 overpayment caused by a "glitch" . Completely unacceptable. Shows a lack of respect. Billing system is clearly faulty. Will insist on an invoice first next time. What if I had not raised the issue? $100 just disappears?

Didn’t over sell or try and carry out patch work processes with more and more costs at a later date like a root canal. Just honest. Michael was brilliant , very skilled and clearly experienced. But this is the best place so far: from the front desk to the chair everyone is most friendly and professional; as I don't have private cover, Dr Ivy referred me to SA Dental for further evaluation and treatment (Rather than ripping me off!!!) Negative experience: There are plenty of dentists in and around Marion. I strongly recommend that you use one of them and keep well away from this Practice. It gets a no star rating from me. I have been going to this dental practice for more than eight years and have always been looked after by the senior dentist Raj, who is simply the best. Sadly for him he has to contend with a group of extremely rude, untrained, ignorant and very customer unfriendly front of house staff. They certainly don't like anyone to complain even when it is them who have caused the problem. You get brushed off with "sorry 'bout that" and really demonstrate that they couldn't give a toss. Why should they? They are are getting paid whether you leave or remain a patient. They can't even say please and thank you. The rudest group of staff I have ever had to deal with. Gave the Practice manager the opportunity to apologise face to face for her inexcusable response to my serious complaint, but typically, hides behind the corporation that now owns the Practice. Totally unsuited for the job as she can't even deal with a problem in a professional manner. Both my wife and I will be using another Practice from now on.

Fantastic experience: I attended this dental clinic in a vulnerable frame of mind, due to personal health circumstances beyond my control (not dental) that may cause me to be more nervous than usual. Dr Kathryn Byrnes was very understanding. She minimised the treatment time accordingly due to my anxiety then didn't even charge me for it. She said more extensive work can be carried out later when I am feeling better. Very kind and empathetic!

Negative experience: The lady who clean my teeth was shocking and extremely ignorant.Thay charging a lot for minimum service .I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I was very disappointed specialy with hygienist comments. It happened few months ago.

Negative experience: I had inflamed gums and I went to this place to see what they can do. Dr Kathryn Burn decided to clean my teeth and believed that there is a lot of gum inflammation. She referred to x-ray and gave me a detail of specialist to see afterwards. The cleaning costed me $233, which was fine. I went home to rest and that night my gum didn’t stop bleeding for almost 6 hours, I used every single remedy, but didn’t work. The day after, I went back to the clinic and asked them what should I do if the bleeding happens again until I see a specialist, the technician took me inside and a different dentist in the same room I had my cleaning done saw me and he looked at the bleeding gum and said; it will be fine, there is no bleeding now and I think there will be no more bleeding. Then, the technician took me to the counter and charged me another $60 for these two words and literally 2 minutes (120 seconds)!!! I told the technician that I didn’t think it costs me anything, as it was just a follow up regarding the complications happened due to their treatments, but she replied that the dentist was different. I believe this is a complete rip off, they should tell people about these unexpected charges before hand, and I think everyone have right to follow up when a complication happens.
