Negative experience: I was charged nearly $400 for a 20-minute consultation where they told me nothing I didnt know already. The GP and Dentist had already diagnosed the exact same thing. The quoted cost was a further $600 for a 15-minute procedure, plus an additional "mandatory" review (which costs another 200$!). Scam. I needed to delay the procedure due to the total cost approaching $1,000 for the day, and was told, quite rudely- that if I could not afford it, I should seek treatment elsewhere. The lack of professionalism and empathy was disappointing, especially given the fees involved.

Negative experience: Arrogant & terrible customer service, only interested in taking your money. And! The MAD doesn’t even work that well. Hasn’t stopped my snoring. Here’s the story: At the end of last year I got notified that the specialist I was seeing no longer works there, and my appointment was cancelled. POM&DSC called me once I think to reschedule when I was away on holidays. Then I got a shitogram from them saying because I hadn’t rescheduled the appointment that they cancelled, I would need another referral. I got that from my GP and now these snake oil salesman want to charge me $500 as a “new patient” No thanks Champ! I’ll take my money elsewhere. Go kick rocks…

Negative experience: Terrible service. My general practitioner called to arrange an urgent appointment for me, but I wasn’t given one for 10 days. I had to wait in Perth for this appointment as I don’t live here. Then, on the very same day of the appointment (9th of September), they cancelled on me. The receptionist told me they couldn’t rebook me until the 3rd of October — almost a month later! This was despite my GP clearly stating it was urgent and important. On top of that, the woman on the phone was rude and completely unhelpful. I would not recommend this place at all. After waiting 10 days for an appointment, to then have it cancelled and pushed back by another month is unacceptable. What a joke!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr Lalima Tiwari. She has incredible diagnostic skills and a wealth of knowledge, which made me feel completely reassured throughout my appointment. Her calm presence and passion for her work really stand out - it’s rare to find someone so dedicated and competent at what they do. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an oral med specialist :)

Fantastic experience: The team at the West Leederville centre were amazing and so welcoming to myself and my 3 very busy children during the school holidays. My 1.5hr appointment meant my kids were in and out of the treatment room and made a bit of a mess of the waiting area. But the staff were so accommodating to them and made me feel at ease whilst I had my appointment. Thank you to the staff, for your patience, kindness and warmth.

Negative experience: Worst appointment of my life. So unprofessional, no proper equipment. Would definitely not recommend. I attended Jan 2025. I would wonder when the reviews are all either one star or five stars, with no in between, how many are genuine.

Negative experience: Beware Dr Mahesh Thyagarajan, he has very bad reputation for pretending to be a specialist when he is not. You will be charged specialist rates for a regular dentist.

Negative experience: Quite frustrated with the service I have got from this practice over the years. Made my appointment almost a year in advance for my regular maintenance / check-in, then only to be told on the day they have no record of it (even though I made it with the receptionist in person at my last appointment), and then told I need to wait another 5 months for an appointment AND get a new referral even though i have been seeing this specialist for years. No apology or alternative suggestions, other than transferring me to another clinic which is 45 minutes away and super inconvenient to get to. Also, even though the specialist Dr. Amanda is super lovely and knowledgeable, you only really get 5 minutes of her time, the rest of the consult is only with a therapist who does your examination. The appointments and treatment plan costs thousands of dollars. From my understanding there are not many of these specialists around (although have recently been told otherwise by the practice) otherwise I would have gone elsewhere initially. Now I am on a maintenance plan and intend to keep going here since they have my whole medical history, (and Dr. Amanda is really good - if only you could get more of her time) but overall have not been too satisfied with my experience over the years.

Fantastic experience: Excellent, I had terrible jaw pain for months and after my first visit to Perth Oral I felt confident that they could sort it out, which they did, and a few weeks later my pain was gone, can’t recommend them highly enough.

Negative experience: Just contacted this place regarding massater botox for teeth grinding for my girlfriend and they quoted me $385 per unit compared to $16 per unit I've been quoted by numerous other clinics and somehow thought this was amusing. I wouldn't waste your time lol. Receptionist either didn’t know what she was talking about or this clinic is the biggest rip off I've ever seen.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ramesh is so knowledgeable and professional. The staff are super friendly making me feel very comfortable and cared for.

Negative experience: Dr Ramesh is incredibly unpleasant with little to no bedside manners, patience or punctuality. The fact that he is always late… sometimes even up to 45 minutes late could be forgivable if maybe the fees weren’t so ridiculously overpriced. Especially since 90% of the consultation is handled by his junior dentists who come in and do all the admin stuff for him; checking you out and making notes for him to then walk in the room, look at the notes and then give you a recommendation of what to do next without even looking at you - then charging you upwards for $350/consultation. Although, my favourite thing is when I once made a passing comment on the above to him and he told me that he sees patients with cancer in their jaw and my case isn’t so severe so I actually shouldn’t complain. Best decision I made was to move to another oral specialist who was able to help me and treatEd me with more respect in half a session that Dr Ramesh treated me with throughout 3 months of seeing him.

Fantastic experience: I had disc displacement without reduction in my jaw, I experience pain and couldn’t open my mouth. After treatment, that included a splint and exercises, I am now totally pain free, and even forgot I had a jaw problem in the first place.

He gave me great relief from my condition and when he felt I would benefit more from a different treatment (that Perth Oral Medicine doesn't provide) he was quick to suggest it. Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing a “clicky”jaw for some time thinking it would somehow correct itself! I then began experiencing jaw pain and progressively was barely able to open my mouth,which made biting into some foods,eating and chewing very difficult and painful. I was referred by my dentist to Dr Amanda Phoon Nguyen earlier this year. Since following the exercise regime and wearing the oral splint at night I have benefited immensely. I now have no pain, regained the ability to open my mouth to be able to eat, bite and chew normally. I’m very thankful to my dentist for referring me and of course to Dr Amanda and the team for the very successful treatment I have received. It’s made a huge improvement to my life. Fantastic experience: Very satisfied with the experience I had at Perth Oral Medicine and Dental Sleep Centre. The cause of my issue and treatment options were well explained, which has enabled me to manage my issue well and experience extensive improvement over the past two years. The doctors were also very accommodating of my availability for appointments as I travel from a rural town, and considered this when planning for long term treatment.

Fantastic experience: The fine care offered here from Dr Ramesh and his staff has been amazing (and frankly saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary dental work). I would recommend this team in a heartbeat to anyone who has jaw/facial pain where dental work or nothing else seems to be solving the issue. As someone who was reluctant to start using mouth splints, I'm a complete convert, and no longer have to deal with so much of the pain I worried would be with me for the rest of my life. I've been coming here for many years now, and always feel taken care of and listened to, which is sometimes hard to find when you have a lot of different chronic conditions playing together (for example, I have Fibromyalgia, which complicates how I experience pain and can make things more confusing for specialists as well - and yet I never feel that's the case with Dr Ramesh). It's difficult to know what to do in the face of chronic jaw pain when it affects eating, sleeping, and quality of life, but having a good specialist and staff on your side can make a world of difference. Incredibly grateful to this place, can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I was having problems using a cpap machine and was referred to POMS by my sleep physician. The MAS device I am using has greatly improved my life in general with more energy and able to concentrate in the afternoon better if I need to do computer work or paper work. Not so fatigued after work so am able to get some exercise in after a 12hr shift. Find it’s having good flow on effects in my life. Thanks POMS

Fantastic experience: I mentioned to my dentist that I had TMJ, she then referred me to Ramesh. Ramesh was able to confirm what I thought and very quickly I was getting moulds and my splint. Although the process is a little pricey (health insurance gives you some discounts) I cannot speak more highly of getting the splint. It has changed my life for the better. I used to suffer from a lot of jaw pain and constant headaches. Thankfully in under a year this has all but gone completely. If you are suffering from head aches and jaw pain I would highly recommend seeing Ramesh, he has been a life saver!!!

Negative experience: I saw the specialist only once , then offsider and just a dentist . Was told if I was experiencing pain to go for a walk and practise mindfulness. Paid $1400 for a mouth mould plate that causes chronic pain and to see the specialist for a few minutes .Feel like the practise is not professional enough to call them selves a specialist. They don’t seem caring and just too busy to deal with you. Seeking second opinion.

For over 12 years I have suffered truly debilitating headaches and have tried every prescribed pain reliever and remedy on offer, from acupuncture to remedial massage. Eventually I was sent to Alyssa who assessed me and arranged for a new jaw splint. It has made a tremendous difference to the quality of my life!!! I thoroughly recommend Perth Oral Medicine.

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr Ramesh four years ago with a locked jaw and constant pain. I couldn't open my mouth, couldn't eat properly, and I couldn't sleep. I had been to numerous doctors and dentists about my jaw issues and none were able to help me, until I was referred to Dr Ramesh. Dr Ramesh is the reason that I have normal jaw function now. Not only was he able to come up with a plan to heal my jaw injury without surgery, but his calm and encouraging demeanour gave me hope. I recommend him and his entire team without hesitation as being incredibly competent, professional, caring and kind. My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner. Thanks Dr Ramesh and team!

Fantastic experience: Dr Alissa Jacobs gave me advice to assist with managing my recurrent aphthous ulcers which was very effective and assisted with managing the pain.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing the clinic for around 5 years regarding ongoing treatment. The practitioners have always been very helpful in answering my questions and providing me with alternatives. Treatment for serious issues is not cheap, but the care I’ve received over the years has been worth every dollar.

Negative experience: Zero star. I cannot strongly recommend this place. I think what is inconvenient for the clinic is ignored even if it seems to be the right choice. Receptionist is rude and not helpful at all. I felt a lot of stress in this place.

Negative experience: Do not waste your money here! Charge the earth and never bothered to contact me regarding a CT scan that showed serious results!!!. Eight months later and suffering considerably which could have been avoided! No duty of care! Receptionists quick to be defensive and have no empathy at all. Money spinning racket!

Negative experience: Dr Camile Farah shows no duty of care to his patient. He sent his Phd student to see my husband while he hid in his consultation room and conveyed his diagnosis through the student. Given his high standing in the oral medicine field, I was totally disappointed with his service and professionalism. Being at the top of his profession has obviously gone to his head and made him overlook or ignore the purpose of serving in the interests of his patients.
