Fantastic experience: Jojo at the reception is seriously helpful. She helped me to know the best way to finish my filling treatment by claiming the full the dental insurance. Dr Rachel and her assistant are very kind and gentle. They have done my fillings treatment very professionally. I don’t feel uncomfortable at all.

Negative experience: Bad experience with Dr. Christina Kim. After the filling on 15 Oct, I experienced extreme pain for 10 days which I had to take ibuprofen daily to manage. And there’s still a lump around injection area. Now the dentist requested me to sign a waiver as a condition for refund. I wrote to bupa customer relations on 1 Dec, till now no respond and no refund yet.

Joyce, my hygienist, was incredibly gentle, thorough, and genuinely caring she explained everything clearly and made the entire visit surprisingly enjoyable. The clinic is clean, modern and runs on time, which I really appreciate. It’s rare to find a place that combines professionalism, friendliness and high-quality care so seamlessly. Fantastic experience: We always have such a great experience at Bupa Dental Burwood. I took my child Ethan there today for fissure sealing, and we were lucky to have Dr. Thomas Khoa Nguyen again. He was extremely patient and gentle with my child, explaining everything carefully and making Ethan feel completely comfortable throughout the whole process. Dr. Thomas even surprised him with a little Halloween gift at the end, which made the visit extra special! My son was so happy the entire time. I was very impressed with the experience, and I’ve already booked my own crown appointment with Dr. Thomas afterwards. Highly recommend him for both adults and kids!

Negative experience: I would give 0 if there is the option. I have called for an appointment and someone may named JuJu ( the receptionist told me today), she told me I can come today at 2pm!!! Then, I came today and I was first blamed by the receptionist saying that she contacted me and I was late for half an hour. I was so confused and just found she got my number wrong. She told me the manager Juju who made my appointment yesterday has written the new number down but she didn’t see it!!! Then I was asking whether they could ask the dentist to squeeze the time for my appointment but the answer is no! Then they said they can’t do anything at this moment unless others change their mind!!! I was so disappointed as I didn’t do anything wrong and the only thing they did for me is saying “I apologize”! Then I have to waste for my time for nothing!!! Bad management and disappointment customer services!!!!!

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with this dental clinic. My wife had an appointment scheduled for 2 PM, but when she arrived, she was told the dentist was fully booked and they had failed to notify her in advance. This is a complete lack of professionalism and caused a huge inconvenience. I strongly advise others to consider this before booking here.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Sarah Moon for many years now, after trying several different dentists beforehand — and I can confidently say she is the best I’ve come across. Her work is meticulous, and she brings such care and thoughtfulness to everything she does. You never feel rushed or like just another patient; she genuinely takes the time to get things right and make you feel at ease. Dr. Moon has been a consistent source of excellent care, and it's rare to find someone with such a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. I truly hope the practice knows what a gem they have in her — she's an irreplaceable part of what makes coming here such a positive experience. I wouldn’t trust my dental care to anyone else!

Negative experience: I was very disappointed a few days ago during my dental cleaning with Joyce (Siu Yung Kan). After the cleaning, the suction tool was left in my mouth while she was busy at her desk. After a few minutes, she removed the tool and simply said the procedure was finished. Then, she told me not to leave yet because she wanted to explain the toothpaste and floss to be used. However, she started cleaning the equipment instead, without even looking at me. This was highly unprofessional, especially in the way she interacted with a client. I felt extremely disappointed with BUPA’s service, which was very different from the service I received at BUPA Burwood a year ago. During the cleaning, she also mentioned that I would be charged $40. But after I made the payment, they didn’t ask for any money because I was using my BUPA membership card. Please ensure that this does not happen again in the future, as it makes the client very uncomfortable. Thanks This has truly been an embarrassing service experience during my time with BUPA.

Fantastic experience: I have real anxiety going to the dentist ever since I was a kid. My teeth are extremely sensitive to literally everything. Luckily I met with Dr. Thomas Nguyen who was AMAZING. Extremely friendly and personable. He was both gentle and thorough at the same time (which I did not think was possible). Best experience I've ever had at the dentist. His staff was great and professional as well. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Saw Dr John Nguyen for a initial check up and clean followed by a replacement of my filling the following week. He has a keen eye for detail and it became clear to me through two consults that he holds himself to a high standard of care. He also kept me informed of the steps as he went helping me better understand the health of my teeth. The dental hygienist and receptionists were also very friendly. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Hi Bupa, I just wanna say that I was extremely happy of the service that the dentist and staff who attended to me yesterday, when I got my wisdom tooth removal. Firstly, the front staff are really welcoming and friendly. She is really accomodating and helpful once i entered the facility, she informed and explained all the things i need to know. Second, Dr. Sandy, your awesome dentist is just really amazing together with her partner. I was really in pain because of my wisdom tooth and upon entering the dental clinic i was really nervous cause i taught i'll be going for a surgery cause my tooth is kinda impacted then Dr. SANDY, makes me really comfortable and makes me feel at ease, making me feel that everything will be alright and nothing to worry about. While she was explaining to me that i wont need surgery that my tooth was just straight forward, that she will be able to removed it, gave me a relief. And before she did the extraction she makes sure that i will not experience any pain. And that's what i felt! I didnt notice that the tooth was already out. She was so gently and her partner put her hands on my shoulder making me feel that i'll be alright. Your staff are just amazing!! I will definitely recommend your branch in Burwood. Negative experience: VERY unprofessional receptionist. Always had to pay unexpected $$$ out of pocket even with insurance cover. Not coming back and I do not recommend.

Negative experience: I had my first dental check-up today, and the experience wasn't the best. Although the check-up was good, the dentist broke one of my resins while cleaning my teeth, so he filled the gap, which I was charged for. Additionally, I can now see the resin; when it was done before this appointment, I didn't even notice it. Afterwards, when I inquired about the payment procedure, I didn't understand why I didn't have to pay today. One of the receptionists explained it to me in a way that seemed obvious to her. When I reformulated the question, she became visibly upset and rudely said, 'Next time you can call Bupa for an interpreter.' The fact that the information wasn't clear to me doesn't mean I am dumb. I simply requested a clearer explanation. As I mentioned earlier, it was not the best experience.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for over a year now, recently had two tooth extractions and it was a seamless process. Everyone was friendly, the support before, during and after the surgery was excellent. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Dr Moon is super friendly and personable and never fails to make me feel comfortable and relaxed in the dental chair. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic first visit at Bupa Dental Burwood. Clinic looks new, organised and very well kept. Staff are lovely and incredibly helpful. Great communication throughout. Negative experience: Reception staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful through my appointment changes and all my questions, and even included a $10-$20 discount because it was my first visit. Dentist staff I’m unsure of. A dentist as opposed to a hygienist did my clean, I was given the option to choose and because I had other teeth issues I decided to just see the dentist. I didn’t realise this meant that I wouldn’t be given a proper clean. The clean was all of 5 minutes. My teeth felt the same afterwards and there was no attention to detail, it did not feel like a proper clean. If anything the fluoride took longer. I wanted to book in another clean because this was not ok, but was told that it wouldn’t be covered by my Bupa insurance unless it was 6 months from now. They also took dental x-rays which was unnecessary considering that I had just did them for my orthodontist and if they had simply asked I would’ve transferred the files before my appointment as opposed to pay for a whole new set. Overall not very impressed. Coming in next week to get fillings replaced. I want to stick with a Bupa dentist because my insurance is with Bupa, however may be requesting a different dentist or a different branch, and definitely booking cleans solely with the hygienist.

Positive experience: I've never before had any reason for complaint with Bupa until Saturday, 22 July 2023. I forgot to bring my membership card. And although I had a digital copy on the phone, the staff couldn't process my claim. This was rather annoying and inconvenient since I had to pay our of my pocket in the spot. And now I have to make another appointment at the Bupa office to claim back my payment. Additionally, all my family are usually taken into the dentist chair on time, every time until Saturday. While the appointment was for 12:00, my son was not called into the chair until 12:20. This also was very annoying and inconvenient since I had planned to be out of your office by 22:30 for work. Your service up until Saturday has been impeccable and I was rather disappointed. This is the first time I've ever had a problem and I hope it's my last.

Negative experience: I had a wisdom tooth removed in what felt like a medieval process. The dentist pulled on my tooth so aggressively for such a long period of time I started crying and asked if he was trying to break my jaw. It was only then he started using the drill. My Face was super swollen the next day and pain agonising. Giving 2 stars as receptionist was super lovely and empathetic. Which I can’t say for the nurse as she told me ‘crying isn’t going to help you’.

Negative experience: Today I went to have my teeth cleaned. After returning home, I found that my gums were getting increasingly painful and I couldn't chew properly. I noticed that the center + edge of my gums was broken and swollen, which I believe was caused by the instruments used during the cleaning procedure. My teeth overall are in good condition and I do not have severe calculus build-up. It's understandable that there may be a bit of damage to the edge of the gums in order to achieve a clean result, but what caused the damage and swelling in the center of the gums? I have never experienced this kind of situation during teeth cleaning in other places before. I'm unable to brush my teeth now, nor am I able to eat any hard or hot food. I don't know when my gums will heal. This has been my worst teeth cleaning experience. The front desk service was very professional. Star is for them.

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is run by a team of wonderful professionals who efficiently deal with your dental needs. Likewise, the receptionists are very polite and accommodating. During covid this practice especially stood out, extending their professionalism for dental emergencies whist adhering to covid protocol- something which other dental practises were not capable of achieving .For these reasons I thoroughly recommend BUPA Dental Burwood.

Fantastic experience: This is a great practice not only for the brilliant dental work but also the really lovely staff! I can get overwhelmed at the dentist and the staff have shown so much compassion, patience and understanding, I even recieved a follow up care call the next day to see how I was feeling. The reception staff are incredibly nice and very personable. The dental technician gave me a lot of support and gentle words to ease my anixety throughout the appointment and the work I had done I am very happy with! It's still the dentist... but a good one

Negative experience: Poor reception services, not friendly. I have to pay extras on examination because of the receptionist wrote wrong note as 'consultation extended' in my booking and the dentist only took less than half hour for my examination. The other front receptionist is not friendly either, the way she talk does not shown good manners. I think it is unprofessional under such a big dental centre, very disappointed.

Positive experience: Went for my first check up. I never had any issues with teeth. Staff were friendly and the person who took my x-rays explained me issue of my teeth. She was quite talkative and engaged me in talking to other issues so that I don’t concentrate on my cleaning process. Overall very good experience. I did realise that dentist treatment is very expensive though in Australia.
