Kangaroo Point Dental

Negative experience: I booked a treatment and paid a $50 deposit after being explicitly told the deposit would be refunded if I cancelled more than 48 hours before the appointment. The very next day I rang to cancel and reschedule because my work timetable changed. I was told the deposit was non-refundable due to “company policy” and could only be used for future bookings. I explained that the receptionist had told me refunds were allowed, and was transferred to the manager who repeated the same policy line. She said she would check with the receptionist and call me back — I never received a follow-up. Being left without an answer after being given contradictory information felt dismissive and unprofessional. I’m writing this because I want other patients to know they may be given different information depending on who answers the phone, and you shouldn’t expect the clinic to follow up if there’s a problem. I won’t be returning and I don’t trust booking anything with them until their policies and communication improve.

Fantastic experience: Excellent job done by this team from start to finish. Had a checkup/cleaning done by Dr. Alex who was extremely thorough and kind. Front desk and dental assistants were wonderful, as well as one of the owners who I met with toward the end of the appt.

Got to know and understand what was happening with my tooth and what were the options to fix it. Everything was clearly explained, before, during and after the examination.

The staff here are absolutely amazing, friendly, professional, and were extremely helpful and informative on a dental issue I have had for a very long time. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into a warm and comfortable waiting room, a warm friendly welcome, and I must say, that instantly put me at ease. It's rare to find a dental practice that not only makes you feel comfortable but also goes out of their way to ensure you're well-informed every step of the way. They didn’t just finish and push me out the door, they stayed, sat with me and discussed all of the options, and answered my questions for my dental needs. This have given me the information I needed to take away to make an informative decision that suits me and my situation. Fantastic experience: Easy to book online, instant confirmation and great follow up from reception. ❤️ Dr Zen didn’t race through a consult like a checklist, that was my first impression! I usually feel like there’s a ‘procedure’ at the dentist and the time limit. He took excellent photos (if you can call tooth decay photos excellent) to show and carefully explain what my treatment plan should look like and most importantly why!!

Fantastic experience: Zen D”Souza was very thorough with his initial consult. He uses all the latest technology to get a very comprehensive picture of your dental health. I was particularly impressed with the 3D camera which means that you don’t need to have that awful gunk in your mouth when you need a splint or mouth guard made. Highly recommended.

Very pleased with first visit for overdue check-up and clean. Dr Zen and staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. Fantastic experience: Kangaroo Point Dental is an easy recommendation. I avoided going to the dentist for quite some time as I'd had a few visits elsewhere that weren't so great. My visits here have been very comfortable and educational around maintaining my oral health and preventing further issues from arising. There were no surprises or unnecessary work done, it was all very clear each visit. If you hate visiting the dentist, give this place a try!

She’s been great at explaining everything to me along the way, I was clear on what was wrong, what needed to happen, what I needed to do and what the costs were going to be. Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a good dentist around Kangaroo Point/Woolloongabba area, look no further... Prior to walking through the doors of Kangaroo Point Dental a month ago, I had an emergency wisdom tooth extraction somewhere on the north side of Brisbane about 5 years ago. And prior to that, all of my dental work had been done in the US (where I was born and raised). All of my visits to the dentist had one thing in common: they were borderline traumatic, and this made me an avid avoider of the dentist for many years. Other than the emergency wisdom tooth extraction I had 5 years ago, I had not properly been to the dentist in a decade and was super nervous when I came to my initial consult/full check-up with Doctor Nicole. Although she was lovely and really took the time to explain the necessary dental work, I was still skeptical because of past experiences. I was also nervous when I was informed I would be transferred to another dentist in the practice when Doctor Nicole needed to go on leave. However, a much-needed clean and 4 fillings later with Doctor Zen (2 of which were massive), I will not go anywhere else. The team at Kangaroo Point Dental took special care of me and I cannot recommend them enough. I felt as though I was dealing with honest assistants/staff and doctors who truly care about their patients, who want to ensure that each experience is as positive and as comfortable as possible. I never felt rushed and sensed that Doctor Zen was extra gentle because he knew I was so nervous. He made sure to keep reassuring me, letting me know what he was doing throughout the procedures, and gave me breaks as needed. Doctor Nicole, although she didn’t do my fillings, took the time to thoroughly address all of my concerns - and nerves! I appreciated that she was honest and upfront about everything, which helped set my expectations so that I wouldn’t be in for any surprises later. Both parties were extremely caring and professional. Thank you so much for everything, team! You guys have restructured a part of my world that used to be so scary and it means more than you will ever know. :)

Dr Grace is very thorough, gentle and explains everything I need to know about my oral health clearly supported by the use of photos and xrays as well. She's nice and She' explain well the things I need to know and even help me watch my 5 year old son who was with me from time to time.
