Fantastic experience: I have severe dental anxiety due to previous bad experiences at another dental clinic, so I was very nervous going in today. Dr. Rajah Hijazi was wonderful, her and her dental assistant put me right at ease and explained everything so well. They were very gentle with me and helped distract me when my anxiety got really bad. I'm so glad I came here today to get my tooth fixed. Felt so confident I even booked a follow up appointment straight away!

Fantastic experience: Lovely dentist, very clear with advice and listens to any problems, not too expensive either.
Negative experience: I went here on the 12/5/25 and was had Dr. Rafah Hijazi. I walked in and reception was nice and welcoming, when it came to the check up, I had booked for their $250 Dental check up deal. This was immediately brought up to $320 in person which I was unhappy about. From there Dr Hijazi was doing the general cleaning and when there were times I was in clear discomfort she continued and when harder at the spots she was working on. It turned to very painful and she heavily pushed for me to do x-rays to the point I felt forced to do them, this added an additional $240 to my already increased bill. After the x-rays she said i required a root canal on a tooth that clearly was healthy and which it was shocked that tooth didn’t hurt(I knew it was fine). From here for the next 5 minutes it was awkward as she kept pushing for me to do the root canal then and there and when I tried refusing she kept insisting and added to the uncomfortable experience. Mind you she quoted $1500 for the root canal and which I clearly said no to many times. At the end of the day i walked out in paid and more the double spent then should have been spent. I just put a 1 star review with no description as I didn’t feel the effort to describe my poor experience but when i get a response that “I haven’t been to their clinic and need to delete my review” I felt that is not a good way to respond to feedback

Fantastic experience: I have not been to a better dentist! I have been to a few nice ones but this takes top of the list Not only were the staff incredibly friendly warm and welcoming, making it feel more like a catch up than a doctors appointment, but they provided reassurance, support and understanding with previous experiences. The dentist herself I could NOT rate higher! I have been getting incredibly tired of medical professionals playing handball, passing people around to go to x y z before getting any results. Not here. After a quick exam she got an xray done ON SCENE, showed the results and explain in detail answering all my questions. Even more so she provided me the answers in such a clear way I didn't have to try piece together the answer myself. The environment was amazingly well kept especially in comparison to some places in Ballarat. I will not only be making this dental practice my ongoing future dental place to go but will also be using this practice for all my familys needs too. May not offer bulk billing but every other aspect makes the price WHAT you pay for. Thank you all for such an amazing experience!

From having some not so nice dental experiences at different practices, it was so refreshing coming to this practice and having such a positive experience from the moment I walked in. The dentist and DA were really accommodating and lovely. Felt like I was in good hands the whole time and that they knew exactly what they were doing. A check up and clean didn’t take too much time out of my day and was very impressed with their efficiency. I am definitely coming back for future treatments and cleans!

In the past I have had very traumatic experiences at dentists but the team really reassured me and made sure I was comfortable with every step. Negative experience: I had two fillings done today, I had the worst dental experience I have ever received. The clinic was 30 minutes behind. After 2 vials of numbing I was still in pain and told the dentist. The guard around the tooth caused pain and the drilling. After telling her it felt too high, she got huffy and drilled more, still too high. By this time my anxiety was through the roof and I was holding back tears. I left extremely dissatisfied and quite frankly traumatised! The fillings do not appear to be shaped properly, but I wouldn’t know because I’m not a dentist and put my trust into someone I belived to be assisting me. $639 for an hour of pain and discomfort, I still require a further filling & absolutely will not attend this clinic again. What a terrible experience! Do not recommend!

Regarding the anesthetic, the amount administered was in line with standard practices to ensure sufficient numbness during the procedure. As no pain was reported after the two injections, the dentist proceeded with the treatment, believing you were comfortable. We regret that you still experienced discomfort, and we should have done more to ensure your comfort throughout the process.
The fillings were shaped and polished meticulously to ensure a proper fit and finish. We understand that the results might not feel ideal to you at this moment, and we sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction. We take pride in our work and are committed to reassessing the fillings if needed to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Since then I have needed a root canal and the process has been easy and the service exceptional. I've felt looked after and Dr Rafah explained everything in terms I understood. Highly recommend

Negative experience: My wife visited them today with extreme pain in one of her teeth which resulted in requiring extraction. The dentist had absolutely no bedside manner, seemingly no regard for the amount of pain that was being caused prior to applying anaesthetic and has left my wife traumatised by her visit. Safe to say we will not be returning clients and would advise others to avoid.

Being a clinic that prides itself on customer service, we take patient feedback seriously.
Upon speaking with Dr. Rafah, she explained that the patient had multiple issues and a thorough check up was needed to determine the cause of the pain. Dental probing (which is a common dental technique to identify the cause of the pain) was needed to avoid further complications. The patient was given a local anaesthetic which reduced the pain almost immediately.
We regret your decision of not coming back but wish your wife a speedy recovery.

Fantastic experience: I laid on my couch in pain and I google dentist and these guys were the first ones that popped up. I read the google reviews and they were all good so I booked online (which was so convenient) in the morning I got there and the staff were nice and professional. Dr Hijazi and her dental assistant made the dentist experience so good. I had a mini freak out during my tooth extraction and they were so nice and stopped everything and made sure I was calm before we continued. Dr Hijazi was very open and honest and always tells you the price upfront so you know what you in for at the end and her prices are very fair in my opinion. Wifey and I have found our new dentist. If your reading this and wondering… just make appointment and see for yourself.

Positive experience: The opening special of $190 for a check up, 2 x-rays & a clean was enough incentive for me. Dr. Hijazi did a superb job cleaning my crowded teeth as they came out looking & feeling SO much better!! I also liked the way I was shown the cost of fixing my 2 located cavities after the consult without even having to ask. Left no room for surprises and you can instantly work out your affordability before committing to any future bookings upon leaving. A new clinic still working through the odd teething issues (no pun) but very accessible via way of parking. This clinic shows a lot of promise & I look forward to seeing it working as a well oiled rig as I continue my dental care with MDC.
