Fantastic experience: Holiday disaster averted! Travelling on a six month road trip from Melb l was devastated when l broke a crown in Hervey Bay. I have a history of severe dental phobia and go to a specialist sleep dentist in Melbourne. Considering flying home to have treatment, l decided to first see Dr Felipe for a consultation. I felt so confident in his quiet encouraging gentle manner that l had the work done there. It was by far my most positive dental experience and l highly recommend this practice for any work you need. Negative experience: Please stay away from this dental surgery. I had a crown done by the owner, DR SHUBHA SUVARANA, since then I've had several gum Infections at this tooth and needed antibiotics, I have one currently. I've seen 2 separate dental practices since then tell me the crown needs to be replaced as it is not recessed under the gum properly causing food under and in my gum, one dentist said it's just dodgy. I've reached out to the Hervey Bay dental and spoke to the manager who said she'd ring me back and get it sorted, but she didn't ring back. I've rang back twice since to be told the manager was busy, I left a message and she was ringing me back but she hasn't and neither has the owner, I've been completely ghosted and $1600 out of pocket. My tooth was better before I came here. As you can see the owner is saying another dentist did it, another dentist did start but but she quit and didn't prep my tooth correctly so the owner DR SHUBBA SUVARANA took the job over. She came from Maryborough dental as they own that also especially to do my tooth. She Re prepped the tooth and installed a post, she then scanned the tooth for the New Crown and had it glued on when the crown arrived... As said I've rang 3 times and have been totally ignored, they haven't even asked me to come in for a look. Asking me to come in on their reply here now but not actually calling me to fix the problem or acknowledging they've ghosted me is disgusting, I've tried contacting you. Even if another dentist did it as you claim, that's it folks, no warranty or looking after your customers, the owner just told you all that pretty well... I just want my money back Raj. Travis

Fantastic experience: We have had such a pleasant and positive experience with Dr Felipe Knob and Ava, the admin and clerical.. We encountered some challenging situations with my 12 year old daughters teeth, with which we have been advised well.. Dr Felipe is so autonomous and efficient at his work. He makes it look effortless. And the work he produces in such a short amount of time is exceptional.. The build up he performed on my daughters peg tooth looks brilliant. A month before he extracted one of her teeth and the entire procedure was completed in 20 minutes. We were out of the clinic in 30mins.. I just wish he could do our orthodontic work for us aswell.. Highly recommend this clinic. I'm so pleased I choose the best from the time I moved to Hervey Bay.. Thank you for your superb work and for being so welcoming and kind.. Fantastic experience: I recently changed Dentists and I’m so pleased I found Dr Felipe. All staff at all times are very friendly and helpful. I recommend anyone feeling apprehensive or have a phobia of dentists, just come in and have a talk to Dr Felipe. I’m half way through having a dental implant, and although it’s a little frightening, Dr Felipe talked me through the process and made me feel at ease. Nothing is too much trouble, five stars all round.

Fantastic experience: At 70 years of age, my teeth were very tired and worn. I went to Dr Felipe at Hervey Bay Dental to have a few fillings done and to discuss my options. After a check-up and some x-rays, Dr Felipe proposed a plan whereby my existing teeth could be saved and enhanced. This was exactly what I was looking for. Also, new top and bottom partial dentures would be manufactured. My goals were 1) To save and protect my teeth for the future. 2) To be confident when smiling and in photographs. 3) To make my teeth look as natural as possible. Dr Felipe has done some amazing work to achieve these goals. I'm really pleased with the result, proud to be able to smile for photos and relieved that my teeth have years left in them. Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk through the door, the team at Hervey Bay Dental are friendly, helpful and considerate. They make you feel comfortable and at ease. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience! Had a couple of teeth out and was supposed to get a bridge, instead fitted with metal plate that cut my tongue and small teeth that looked like tic tacs. When I said something to the dentist he laughed at me! After complaining found out that dentist had left, no offer of replacing the plate with what I’d paid for (over $3k). Found out dentist’s at this establishment are contractors therefore couldn’t request compensation from them. Made complaint to ombudsman to find out that particular dentist had just had strict restrictions placed on him including working supervised at all times. Owners of clinic should’ve dug deeper before putting him on. Went overseas to have teeth fixed at a third of the cost of the quote I received from a clinic in Brisbane they recommended that I go to! Never again will I use your business

Fantastic experience: Double root canal. Can’t speak highly enough of Melissa the new dentist. Well spoken , clear explanations , accurate quoting , explains what’s happening during the procedure . pain free as I could hope for . Came in cheaper than quoted also so that’s a bonus too. Raj the owner - easy to talk to , honest and welcoming . Between these two people they have really calmed me down about future dental work and have reduced my concern for the next crowns to come.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the staff and level of care, have had 4 appointments so far and some work to be done in the coming weeks & not as anxious as I was about the dental work needed. Mahdieh, Raj and the dental assistants all looked after me and I thank them.

Fantastic experience: I went to Hervey Bay Dentist out of sheer frustration, see notes below. I only had to wait a couple of days to be seen, as it was not an emergency. I immediately had a tooth removed. I was advised by the Dentist I will need to have all of my top teeth pulled out, a denture, to replace the removed teeth. The appointment was made immediatly for 3 days time, for an impression of my gums, for the denture. My denture arrived, I had my appointment for teeth extraction. It was basically painless. Congratulations to the staff. A great job. Unbelievable, I am in my second day of no teeth and wearing my denture. First day and night, yes, sure, it was uncomfortable. I only took panadol, Worked well & I slept well I drank bone Broth, my daughter made for me. Washed out my mouth several times with warm salty water. The bleeding stopped ½ way through the second day. Today. The pain has gone 95%. The sore bits are, from the front teeth anesthisetic. Not much pain at all. I am a sookie la la. Oh, I forgot to add. The price of this service was fantastic. Who wants to travel over seas, when we have a confident and reasonably priced Dentist at our front door. As a pensioner, I am privy to have Community Dental Services. I had a gum disease, I had a painful tooth removed, successfully. I was told to return in 3 years time. Well really, one tooth went black after the removal of the tooth. All top teeth were now wobbly. This is not the dentist of the days fault. It is the Govt System. 3 year wait is rediculous. I may be dead by then. So, that was why, I went to Hervey Bay Dentist. THANK YOU HERVEY BAY DENTIST & STAFF. ‍♀️ Jeanette Hayward

Negative experience: Inflicted so much pain so rough for a clean and floride appointment never going back. The lady was an iranian ethnicity.

Negative experience: I would advice anyone to stay clear from this dental practice. The dentist was unpleasant from the start, loud and obnoxious, rushing his assistant, making him nervous and making inappropriate remarks about a lady that has just been there before me, calling her the B word right in front of me! The experience was very uncomfortable and extremely painful to the point where I haven’t been able to eat properly after a week of this guy messing with my teeth, furthermore, the cavity on one of my back tooth can still be seen despite the filling application. The procedure didn’t take more than 10 minutes, it felt rushed and unprofessional. I din’t receive any dental plan or a detailed invoice at the end of it, like I used to get with Dr Moon. I have booked an appointment with another dentist so they can repair the mess this incompetent guy made. He still charged me $350 I should have read the reviews of this practice after Dr Moon left.

Negative experience: I'm new to the Hervey Bay area and rang the Hervey Bay Dental clinic (during their advertised business hours) on their listed number to make an appointment. All I got was music (fairly poor taste I might add), no human (or automated) response asking me to hold the line. I rang twice and waited in total for about 5 minutes, without attention. Consequently, I rang a nearby dental clinic where the phone was answered immediately and I made an appointment. If Hervey Bay Dental can't manage their phones, I don't want to risk them with care of my teeth.

Negative experience: Not a pleasant experience! Two clients walk in at the same time. I assumed that there might be 2 dentist. I was wrong. After a long wait its my daughters turn. She was booked in for a clean and check up. She was in the chair for about 8 min, I am not even kidding! The dentist said she needs two fillings. He cleaned quickly and we were on our way. Back at the counter, we waited a fair while to be helped by the receptionist. I had to go and look for her. She then wanted to charge me $173 for a clean. I did say no way! I was under the impression that children under 17 qualify for the medicare dental scheme. She advice me that when my daughter was getting her 8 min treatment that she contacted Medicare and that my daughter was not eligible. She then said but you have private health lets claim. So I did give my card and she claimed. Still leaving me out of pocket quiet a lot, and this just for a clean?! Luckily I did recall that on the website they advertise $99 clean and check up. So I told her that but her response was "no its only for new patients". Well This was definitely our first and last time in that clinic!! She then typed and typed and then said ok I will discount the gap. Why do you feel the need to over charge people? Life is already expensive. You try and do the right thing for your kids health and others take advantage of it. So very sad. Hope others are not caught in the same trap!!

Negative experience: I stood and waited at the empty reception desk for 10 minutes, which didn’t really bother me, the young blond girl receptionist came out to take a customers payment. I told her who I was and she asked me to take a seat. Before she went back out the back, 2 daughters quickly grabbed her attention and asked how their dad was doing, she said he was getting an extraction (this conversation between them was absolutely none of my business but I couldn’t help but overhear) I thought to myself that there might be more than one dentist on the premises as I was not told there would be a wait. That was the last time we saw anyone at the reception desk for an hour. Customers came in, waited 10 minutes and left after being completely ignored (there’s no bell or window.) The phone kept ringing off the hook. An elderly gentleman came in and waited with his mask on for ages then got up and left. A mother with her young daughter waited for ages. There was no way for me to communicate with Hervey Bay Dental, they made it impossible for me to reschedule my appointment, which I would of been happy to do. After waiting an hour I had no option but to walk out. The same young blond receptionist girl phoned me saying the dentist was ready to see me (the phone call record shows it was over 1 hour past my appointment time) She tried to lie to me by saying I was told there would be a wait. I was not told a thing and there were other customers in the waiting room that can verify that I was not told there would be any kind of wait. I would of absolutely rescheduled my appointment if she had of communicated with me. All I wanted was a 5 second conversation with her to let me know.

Fantastic experience: Dr Moon is an amazing dentist - gentle, caring and efficient. I have been to her several times now, for a broken crown, a broken tooth, fillings in my front teeth and cleaning. My teeth look and feel great now, and she did it without causing pain or anxiety (I am usually terrified of the dentist). The dental assistants are friendly and nice also. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the team at Hervey Bay Dental! I was in town for a weekend get away and chipped a front tooth while eating, rang the surgery and they went out of their way to fit me in on the same day. Dr. Moon was very gentle and I didn’t feel the injection at all nor any discomfort during the filling. The nurse was friendly and chatty to keep me at ease. This is definitely the dentist to go to as they really show that they care for you, unlike some other dentists I’ve been to in the past.

Positive experience: I felt they were spending too much time chatting to each other and not enough on clearing my throat of fluids, leading to a stressful coughing fit in the middle of the work. The charge for replacing a missing filling was $300, I had paid $220 for a similar job on the Sunshine Coast a year ago so they are a bit over the average in charging.

Fantastic experience: I have four kids, one with complex needs and two that had high anxiety about the dentist. The whole team there are professional and friendly. I love how they work as a team to keep up the positive banter whilst working on my kids teeth, so that everything always goes smoothly without a hiccup and the kids think its a big adventure. So impressed!! If you want a great family dentist, this is your dental surgery. My kids loooove Robbie :)

I have always had a crippling fear of dentists and am always worrying about being in pain, but Dr Spike took very good care of me! I was very nervous sitting in the chair, but the friendly staff kept me calm, and talked me through everything they were doing.
