Negative experience: I had Travis Brown and he was putting the light in my eyes and I've already got bad vision and he gave me numbing gel and numbing needle which made my mouth really sore and I couldn't take my medication till a bit later because of that and it's very important medication and he wouldn't let my friend come over and be near me when I was getting my teeth looked at

Fantastic experience: I honestly can’t thank Goonellabah Dental enough!! I called last minute yesterday with unbearable tooth pain, and they got me in straight away. Dr. Shizuka Mahara, and Kimmy, and Audrey were absolutely phenomenal. kind, patient, and incredibly professional. The whole procedure was done quickly, properly, and completely pain free. I’ll admit, I had a bit of a moment when I called due to the pain (no excuse, I know), but they handled it with such understanding and professionalism. For the first time ever, I couldn’t pay on the spot, not because they’re expensive (they’re actually super reasonable!) but because I’d had a few unexpected bills come out. Even then, they treated me with such respect and compassion regardless. (And we figured out a solution) Then today, this blew me away they actually called to check in on how I was doing after the procedure. If that’s not incredible service, I don’t know what is. They truly have my whole heart!! Thank you, Goonellabah Dental, for going above and beyond in every way!!✨

Fantastic experience: I have had a number of teeth out with Dr Travis Brown in the past few years and I am always super happy with the outcome!! After 30 odd years of trying to keep my natural teeth intact with various procedures at other dental clinics, I had a few teeth removed at the Goonellabah Dental Practice. From my first experience with Dr Travis Brown and his gentle and professional approach, I was so impressed that I consulted him again, regarding a Full Mouth Clearance in preparation for full upper and lower dentures. Preventative dental care was no longer a viable option for me personally and I was so relieved that he understood my preference, concerned most for my physical health and comfort over booking me in for endless, incremental procedures which others had always defaulted to (again, this was the only feasible option for me). Last week he very skilfully (and gently) performed the procedure and I am healing so well due to the expert care that is always taken by him. He ALWAYS takes the greatest of care to remove a tooth without leaving a disaster behind and I was very pleased and comforted by his efficiency and gentle approach. He doesn’t charge a fortune like some other dentists I have encountered in the past, but don’t let that fool you, this is certainly gold star care and service from a humble practice that isn’t just after your money. Travis has, on several occasions, personally contacted me post procedure to make sure I am doing well and makes it very clear that if something isn’t healing or isn’t right that he will sort it out. He stands behind his excellent workmanship and I’m actually a little sad I won’t need to go back there again (as I now have full dentures lol). Great work Travis and the entire team!! The reception staff, dental assistants and dentists are lovely, friendly and patient people, you will feel so relaxed and comforted as soon as you step foot inside the waiting room!! Negative experience: The worst dentistry clinic I have ever been to. I have had the worst experience I've ever had at any clinic, please don't waste your time, money and the toll it takes on your mental health having poorly done dentistry work and then being treated like dirt from the staff and Dentist. I am taking this matter further and seeking legal advice from my Solicitor, although I will also be doing everything I can to spread the word of this horrible clinic as it should not be operating. Celeste on the front counter is disgustingly rude and unprofessional and the dentist is under-skilled and unwilling to take responsibility for his lack of experience. All round disgusting behaviour from everyone from a professional stand point. Unless you want your teeth brushed go somewhere else, as I'm sure that's all they're capable of.

Fantastic experience: Caring, pain free and on point with current dental innovations.These are my priorities. After a lifetime of patching up my dental problems in an ad hoc way, I ended up with a mouth full of mismatched and irregular teeth and a few gaps. I was self conscious of my smile. Dr Zhang made expert suggestions to make my teeth more uniform and planned a great schedule / action plan. Now, I smile or laugh with confidence. My teeth are trouble free for the first time in my life. I no longer fear a visit to the dentist (as long as it’s at the Goonellabah Dental Clinic). Dr Zhang IS THAT GOOD! I won’t go anywhere else.

Negative experience: $440 for a filling. The dentist sliped off my tooth and hit other teeth with the drill five times. And the dental assistant was snorting back snot and swallowing it while she had her hands in my mouth. Would never go there again. Seriously go anywhere else.
