I also received a follow-up phone call within 48 hours to check if I was okay. Every time I turn up at lakeview dental clinic I am welcomed by my first name, greeted by the clinic puppy and all my appointments have been perfectly on time. Fantastic experience: Amazing dental practice! I walked in never expecting to get an appointment after I lost a large chunk of a tooth eating a mint. The front desk ladies were amazing, organising for the dentist to see me at short notice. Then in just over an hour Ian replaced 3/4s of my tooth with absolutely no pain! Fantastic experience: I have been experiencing bad TMJ pain for the last year, I’ve tried everything for instant relief and it has not helped. After 4 sessions of infrared laser with Isuné I’ve felt such an improvement with my pain levels, it is immediate relief. More people should know about this treatment, it’s completely painless and it honestly works like magic. Unfortunately I’m in the area on holiday, otherwise I’d be booking this treatment biweekly.

This being, everything in the body is connected, he found the root cause of the issues I was facing. Fantastic experience: My kids had appointments with Jodie and wow, what an amazing dentist! My son and daughter were scared to go to the dentist but on the way out asked if we can go again tomorrow. Jodie was dressed as the tooth fairy, entertained the kids while checking their teeth, answered a million of my questions and offered so much wonderful advice. The appointments were so helpful and not rushed. My kids even got a goodie bag to leave with. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous coming to a new Dentist as my tooth was quite sensitive to touch. Once I was in the chair I was made to feel relaxed and calm. The knowledge Dr Ian has regarding oral health and development and tongue tie is next level, as a midwife of 20 years I have learnt so much that I have no question that lake view dental are practice for our family. My daughter had so many issues with sleep and recurrent tonsillitis every doctor closed a door to us or we felt we weren’t heard. Dr Ian didn’t just listen he validated our concerns and agreed intervention was needed within weeks we were referred and treatment commenced. We are now 6 weeks post surgery and we have the happiest kid on the block who is pain free and sleeping so much better.

Fantastic experience: I had a hunch for years that there was something wrong with jaw. After years of doctors/dentists saying my jaw clicking wasn’t an issue, my jaw started to seize up. Within one consultation Ian confirmed my jaw was clicking due to TMJ and now after nearly 2 years in braces, it’s now next to no clicking and never ever seizes up. Total legend.

Fantastic experience: Walking into this place is like walking into your friends place! Honestly everyone is so nice! I have a MASSIVE phobia of dentists and needles and Dr Ian and Dr Rosemary totally cured me of that, and Jodie who did the clean was amazing! Fantastic experience: I went to Lake View Dental after years of going to another dentist on the coast. On my last visit I was told I needed some major dental work done and I wasn't at all confident of the dentist's ability to do the work properly and neither were they, so I decided to get a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. I chose Dr Ian Odendaal as I was also having a lot of problems with chronic sinusitis and I was interested in his holistic approach. He was able to perform all the root canals I needed, my previous dentist wanted to send me to a specialist which would have cost a lot more. I'm only sorry that I'm not staying in the area so I could get the orthodontic work I need done to fix problems caused by previous work. The whole team at Lake View Dental are lovely. Also Dr Ian's technique for giving injections is amazing, one of my biggest phobias, so if that is holding you back from getting dental work done go see Lake View Dental.

Fantastic experience: I had been to another dentist recently who I was very disappointed with , check up clean examination all done in less then 5mins. I still felt something was wrong with my tooth so I decided to go to another dentist- lakeview dental!!! I am so glad I did as Ian the dentist worked out straight away that I had a huge abscess on a previous root canal from years ago. The abscess was large and old and no other dentist has picked up in this ongoing issue. The dental assistant and Ian I highly recommend!! Most professional in every way and top skills - only dentists I’ve never hit when a needle was coming out me !!! Ian reassured me he was the best with needles and I wouldn’t even know - he was right !!! I didn’t even realize the needle was done and dusted . Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in 25 years until I decided it was time for a consult in December 2020. I was very lucky to be paired with Jack and Yvette who understood my childhood phobia and worked with me to get a good dental outcome. In the last 6 months I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed surgically, had a thorough check up, had two fillings redone and had a good clean. Other than the wisdom teeth, I had no pain at any time during any of the procedures undertaken by Jack and Yvette (Dziekuje Yvette:-)). The proof in the care, attention, and skill Jack has displayed in his interactions with me is that when I was due to go back for my 6 monthly check up a week ago, there was no anxiety, no fear, no hesitation whatsoever. ( it is certainly an absolute value for money).He is not commercially driven as other local dentists, he wants to spend time with you to provide a lasting dental solution. There is no barrier.Dr Odendaal equipped himself , besided many other dental qualifications, with a master's degree in dental inplantations. He is experienced well above other dentist to solve breathing related issues(Maxillo -mandibular "reshaping" ) I have been overwhelmed with his expertise and treatment provided during my recent visit. He arranged his staff to support him on his day off,thereby correcting numerous major and complicating dental issues that I had during an 8 hour marathon on one day. Well done Dr Odendaal. I am grateful and if you are available I will bring my family as well. Fantastic experience: I was very anxious about visiting the dentist. I had a cracked tooth and a lot of jaw pain which would just make the visit to the dentist more unbearable. At Lakeview, Ian and his team supported me and my mouth right the way through each process. I now have overcome the anxiety of the dentist and ready to work with the team to breathing and jaw issues. I strangely enjoy going to the dentist now and seeing the team. Can't thank them enough!.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ian was amazing! Such a wealth of knowledge! We went in to assess possible tongue tie for my 3 month old. We didn't end up needing anything cut and I am so relieved he didn't suggest just cutting because we were there and it would financially benefit him. Dr Ian was able to explain everything that could possibly be affecting my son and plan for the future. He answered all of my questions and provided amazing information on tongue and lip ties, as well as the effect correct breathing has on the mouth and jaw. Fantastic experience: Dr Ian Odendaal and his team are absolutely amazing. After suffering pretty horrific jaw and face pain for over a year I had been to see many specialists and tried various medications with no luck. I was at my wits end. My GP told me he had heard about a dentist who had a very holistic approach and thought it might be worth a try. I booked an appointment, and although I was very nervous I should not have worried, the team made me feel extremely at ease. After an initial examination then X-ray Ian had worked out what the problems were and suggested a splint which has been life changing. I have seen a dramatic change in my pain and my breathing/sleeping pattern is way better. He has changed my life for the better and I cannot recommend him enough, we need more Doctors like this in the world. Cannot thank you and your lovely team enough. Fantastic experience: Had a totally brilliant dental experience on Tuesday at Lake View Dental! Two crowns and one filling ....in under three hours.. COMPLETE no further visits required, while watching Netflix documentaries and sleeping .....while my husband was in the next room .....getting a clean and examination .....in between ....at the same time! No pain at all! Didn’t even have to take pain killer that night to sleep. Even with the initial injections !!! Ian Odendaal is AMAZING !!! Dr. Ian assessed my mouth and came up with a plan that has transformed my entire mouth situation. After going through my options, we decided that I would begin the process of getting Dental Orthopaedics to help with a range of different aspects. Since starting this treatment I have noticed numerous positive changes, the most noticeable being my facial structure and smile, many of my friends and family have asked if I have recently had cosmetic work done. Fantastic experience: I'm the first to admit that even the thought of going to the dentist has me on edge. All my life I've had a fear of the dentist and have always come up with ways to get out of going. Recent events have meant I've had to take better care of myself so had no choice but to visit a dentist. I have to say I couldn't have chosen a better clinic. Although still very nervous about sitting in the chair I've found everyone from the girls at the front desk to Dr Ian to very accommodating and have helped me in a big way to get over my fear.
