Fantastic experience: Outstanding service. After experiencing varying degrees of tooth ache for over a week, I was able to make an appointment as a new patient at 8:30 pm. On the day I rang. Reception was excellent and quick and my examination was thorough, including an X-ray. Each part of the examination was explained as was follow up action. I was very satisfied with all aspects of my visit. Thanks to all involved.

Fantastic experience: I'm scared of going to the dentist after a bad previous experience. However at Acacia Dr Shad was and is an expert with alawing your fears. He explained about the procedure and also gave you options and the pros and cons of each procedure. I felt no pain and the procedure was undertaken by Dr Shad and his Dental nurse was above and beyond, I had my eyes shut but my ears told me that I was in the hands of a true professional, his instructions and actions to myself and the DN were precise and comforting. Thanks you Dr Shad , the fillings worked and I don't feel any nerve pain anymore. If you want any Dental work done and you are scared then Dr Shad is your man (dentist).

Negative experience: I went there on the 27/05/25. I was approached by the dentists and on approach seemed very abrubt and stressed. I only went in for a filling and during procedure I found the dentists attitude to be very rushed and very aggressive towards me and his staff helping.. And on leaving the filling wasn't properly flushed and leveled so my jaw when closing isn't balanced and now I have to go back to another dental surgery so I can close my mouth properly. I don't know if I caught the dentist on a bad day but I won't be going back.

We are sorry you had a bad experience at our surgery.
The dentist has mentioned that he spent almost ten minutes trying to adjust the restoration and that there were no high spots on the restoration before you left. It also seems that the high spot you were referring to was not on the restoration but rather somewhere else. This is quite unusual as the only work that was carried out was on that particular tooth.
Nevertheless, I am happy to have a second look at the tooth and see if there is anything else we can do to improve your occlusion.
As for having two procedures done at the same appointment (I think you had requested to have a clean done as well as a filling), We generally book patients in for one procedure at a time unless they specifically request it when booking the appointment. In your case, because you were booked in for 30 minutes, your restoration was done and another appointment for a clean was suggested.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend for emergency tooth extractions. Not very professional. Will give you a run for your money. Went there in a lot of pain. Looked at my teeth and didn’t even find the proper problem. Sent me on my way with antibiotics and a specialist referral in two months time.

Thank you for your feedback. I think a few details need to be added to the comments above:
1- The OPG x-ray you had taken in hospital never reached our surgery. Since it was mentioned that your problem was due to a wisdom tooth, an OPG radiograph is needed in these instances. We usually refer our patients to a radiology centre which we did in your case too. I am sure you would not find us professional if we extracted your tooth without an appropriate x-ray.
2- We did inform you on the phone that if we don't have an OPG we might have to refer you for one before we can do any treatment.
3- I don't personally think $95 for a consultation, script and a referral (which has already been refunded to you) is considered "giving people a run for their money" but I will leave that for the readers to decide.
Nevertheless, we are happy that your issue has been resolved and hope you will never need an emergency extraction of a tooth in future.

Fantastic experience: Listen, if you are not being seen by Dr Amir, I’m not sure why you are waiting! I, out of sheer pain and desperation (my original dentist couldn’t diagnose why I was in such pain after 3 x-rays!!!) came across this lovely dental surgery. I phoned without an appointment, in absolute pain and they fit me in within an hour. From the onset I was seen by Dr Amir and from my description immediately knew what was happening. He then followed up with an x-ray and it was confirmed that my tooth has cracked!!! To alleviate the pain, he went to work to at least make me comfortable, then we got down to what he recommended, going forward. His demeanour, bedside manner and sense of humour are amazing! He gives you all the options and lets you decide what you feel is best for you. Most, if not all my appointments have been after work i.e around 5.30 pm – 6.00 pm. He’s super flexible but above all super patient and gentle. I’ve now moved my whole family to this surgery and absolutely recommend! We just completed my root canal and I couldn’t be happier. It’s weird to say but it’s actually been a fun (pain-free) process! Highly recommend!

Positive experience: What great service. I was travelling though Darwin and needed a tooth extraction. I got a appointment in 2 days and didn't even feel my tooth beening extracted. Dentis and girls were wonderfull. Would highly recommend. Also on time and explained every thing they were going to do.

Negative experience: I attended this surgery before my wedding to have my teeth cleaned, whitened and to have a denture made for a missing tooth. All for my wedding in October 2019. I found the two dentists that I came in contact with to be inexperienced. Often asking the dental nurse for their opinion. I was also seen by the dentist who owns the practise so she could upsell me to a more expensive denture. When I recieved my denture it was loose but I was time poor and didn't have any time to waste. I felt I could wear it for my wedding and come back and get it tightened afterwards. I could even wear my plate to eat. I couldn't even really talk with it in, without it falling out. I wore it for me wedding photos.And for the ceremony and had to remove it for fear of choking. I haven't worn it since. I contacted the clinic for a refund. I also wrote an email. With no written response to my request. This is not satisfactory. I am only giving one star becaus I have to select a star to make this post. I would like my refund on $1500 that I spent on it. I have moved to Victoria, so there is no possible way of coming back for you to refit me. Very unsatisfactory dental care and I would think twice about attending this clinic.
