Dentistry on Unley

Negative experience: I visited there last week, just requesting a light grind on my implant to prevent breakage. My request was completely ignored. The dentist just took photos and xrays of my teeth. His objective was to see how much money he could extract from me. I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: Very easy to get an urgent appointment and very good communication. The dentist was fantastic, very calming, great information and understanding of my significant phobias. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This space is so calm and welcoming you definitely do not feel as though you're at the dentist when you arrive. But this doesn't detract from the incredibly professional service you will receive from the dentists, hygienists and reception staff, all of whom are wonderful. You feel supported all the way through your treatment. I wouldn't go anywhere else and can't recommend Dentistry on Unley more highly.

Dr Diana and Dr Laura are just delightful and all of the dental hygienists are both gentle and thorough… plus the reception staff are all friendly and efficient. Cannot recommend more highly!

Fantastic experience: Dr Melisa is excellent. She talks you through everything she is doing. She is quick so you are not uncomfortable for any longer than necessary. The reception staff are very friendly and efficient. The surgery is set up very well and feels welcoming.

Our kids see Dr Lauren Head, who’s fantastic with little ones and helps them feel comfortable every step of the way. I’ve also recommended Dentistry on Unley to friends, and they’re just as impressed. It’s rare to find a clinic that consistently offers such outstanding care with a warm, welcoming vibe. Fantastic experience: I visited this practice for the first time for a cracked tooth that I had to have extracted. Have since been back for some further treatment and a clean, Dr James is my usual dentist and he’s honestly the best, he’s so nice and thorough, explains everything so it’s easy to understand, and makes someone anxious like me feel very at ease about it all. The reception team are also all very friendly and welcoming every time.

Liesel and the team have taken such good care of me, no shame over the gaps between visits, positive reinforcement on upkeep. Everything from treatment to payment is clearly mapped out, explained and i have choice in my care. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Our family, of 4 Generations, has attended Dentistry on Unley for over 21 Years with great satisfaction from a variety of Dentists. All have been courteous and professional in their attendance of our family, using the most up to date methods and equipment. They have always given confidence in their skill and understanding of our dental issues and problems with informative explanations. I thank Hygienist Sue, who has now retired, for her great skill and expertise. I also mention the Clerical staff who demonstrate competence, professionalism and excellence as the face and first contact for Dentistry on Unley. Fantastic experience: I recently went to a dentist in Mawson Lakes for severe tooth pain On examination the dentist told me that I grinded my teeth at night take some Nurofen and I’ll be okay in a couple of days. Well I wasn’t okay in a couple of days.I was in extreme pain. I booked in to dentistry on unley i seen doctor Laura smith on examination, Laura advised me that I had a cracked tooth gum infection and I needed a root canal. She put me on antibiotics straight away and started the root canal. I’m feeling absolutely so much better. If anyone out there is looking for a Dentist that takes absolute pride in there work,came top of a class at university. Laura Smith is the dentist for all your needs and the person that I’d recommend highly you will not be disappointed. I seriously would not go anywhere else. And forgot to mention Dr Laura is the nicest person you will ever meet just ❤️

Negative experience: Dr Melisa Wu was very helpful and informative with my husband & I. The staff were very friendly except for one and because of her behavior we will not be going back. I had my appointment first then followed by my husband. After my check up Dr Wu walked me to the counter and explained what appointment I needed next. I tried to explain to the girl I work away so it will be easy for me to give her my dates of when I'm home. Straight away I got an unwelcome presents. She got me a appointment for 9 weeks time of what was available. My husband followed by an hour later explained the same situation for an appointment was a very friendly attitude and a appointment was available for him 3 weeks time. I approached the receptionist for why I had to wait so long knowing I had only booked mine - she laughed and said "I guess he gave my the right dates" I said " we work the same dates away - so I would of given you the same! " she laughed again then said "the appointment just became free". Obviously the girl didn't like me and she wasn't professional. I just want my teeth looked after without the hassle of this behavior. I cancelled my follower up appointments and will be booking else where.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist isn’t fun for me (much like many other people I imagine haha) but I honestly can not recommend Dentistry on Unley highly enough! I was looked after very well by Dr Mia and her assistant Racheal. I went in with some nerve pain which was caused by an exposed nerve due to a not so pleasant previous dentist experiance at a different practice many years ago. This resulted in me needing not 1, not 2, but 3 fillings with crowns done all within close proximity to each other! I was dreading getting all of this fixed as it required quite a few appointments, but Dr Mia’s great planning got this all accomplished very quickly and very effectively. I had immediate relief after my first appointment as she dove strait in and knew exactly what to do after only about a 10 minute consultation. After each appointment I came out feeling better and better and after having my final one carried out the other day, the difference from start to finish is astounding! My mouth feels whole again and I can enjoy my favourite foods without any pain at all. My whole process did add up very quickly financially which was a very big worry for me but Dr Mia completely understood and worked out a way to make it affordable for me, which I can not thank her for enough! I would rate 20 out of 5 stars if I could. I will definitely be going for a teeth clean and checkup once or twice a year to keep up with all the amazing work carried out by Dr Mia and Racheal. Thanks so much again you amazing girls!

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely dental practice. Dr Mia Salvestrin is one on a million. So kind and caring. So very talented and passionate about what she does. We travel an hour each way just to see her. Wouldn’t trust my children’s teeth with anyone else.

Negative experience: To be fair, all staffs here I met are patient and friendly, but the reception desk is a bit lack of professionalism. Make sure you always double check the details with them before paying/swiping your healthcare card!!!!

Negative experience: I stopped coming here after I realised the dentist himself never actually saw me personally. They are always trying to up-sell and I think when it comes to people’s health, this is immoral.

Fantastic experience: I just saw Dr Kong Yen and he was very good and thorough. He is old school (blunt but i dont mind that as Im old school too. ) but will lay out all the different options and treatments. He doesn't pressure you to treatments but will let you know the options. I have found that Dr Yen's treatments have endured the distance. I have had my fillings stay as previous operators had them fall out or had to go a more than a couple of times to have it fix. The ladies at front desk are super friendly and the clinic is calm and inviting. It's a well run practice and will be happy to return.

I've had dreadful experiences with other dentists that left me in constant pain with tmj & with quite bad tooth decay due to a poorly fitted crown. Dr Laura took the time to listen & genuinely cared. I was never rushed or treated like just another number. After 3 tooth extractions & one dental implant to fix a front tooth I can finally smile with confidence & am now living pain free!

I recently went in for a dental check up with a huge cold sore that had popped up the night before, not only did the practice make me feel extremely comfortable despite the hideous disaster on my lip they were able to offer me laser therapy for the cold sore. I didn't even know such a treatment existed let alone have it work and immediately reduce the pain/tingling symptoms! This procedure is painless and LIFE CHANGING!! Thank you Dr Roger Antoniazzi and Dentistry on Unley team I can smile once again.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting the practice today and it was like being in a different world all together! The waiting room is beautiful with lovely calm music playing at the perfect volume. The whole practice is very calming and does not smell like a typical dentist. It smells nice and it's clean and fresh. Every person I spoke to was kind and caring aswell as professional and very knowledgeable. The lovely women I spoke with took the time to ask questions and had a good look at my teeth aswell as taking full mouth xrays. My last dentist was very rough and not caring or compassionate at all. These people are the complete opposite and it's so refreshing and calming to know that the people you are trusting to work on your mouth actually care about how you feel. I left with an overwhelming feeling of being cared for, something that doesn't often happen in this day and age. I can't believe I have finally found a dentist that I can trust to take care of me and make me feel safe. Thankyou so much for being so caring. It means the world.
