The Dental Practice Ipswich

Fantastic experience: Had a dental appointment Monday morning (24th March 2025) and whilst this surgery was hidden away inside a medical practice I found my experience to be Exceptional. I knew my teeth were on the worst side possible because of my near on two decades in Kenya as a wildlife photographer and having zero teeth hygiene. But the entire staff were wonderful and informative and handled my appointment with aplumb. I absolutely can not say enough about this dental practice. So thank you the entire staff for a fantastic experience which I verbally appreciated as I left you all.

Fantastic experience: Definitely Recommend Amir and his helper(can’t remember her name) but she was lovely they both were lovely through whole process, gave me fillings and brought me back on the same day to get a sore tooth removed! thankful! now makes me more confident! thank you so much for being so caring and not judgemental! really made me feel comfortable! i can smile now!

Fantastic experience: I have recently visited the practice with my father in law for his tooth extraction. The tooth was in pretty bad condition. We were provided with an exceptionally great care throughout the surgery. Dr. Amir thoroughly explained the issue, provided the detailed information about the procedure, and completed the surgery extremely well. The follow up care was also exceptional, with the team contacting us mutiple times after the surgery and offering any assistance needed. We r very grateful for how they made a generally painful process so smooth and easy. Five stars for them to express our appreciation for the great experience, from scheduling the appointment to the completion and follow up.

Negative experience: I had a tooth extraction done, which was incredibly lengthy. I have had a traumatic healing experience and have been back to the dentist 3 times for checkups and been advised to “wait, it will get better”. I cannot open my mouth wide enough to eat food and am stuck having soft food only, 4 weeks later. I have had to self-refer myself to both a physio and dental specialist as the Dentist did not offer either of these and kept advising me to wait additional weeks until my mouth heals. I have had an xray done, which the dentist is not providing the results for and then today I find out the dentist who performed the extraction has now left the practice. This does not look good and makes me concerned I now have a permanent issue. I am not happy at all with the post opp service provided. I do not recommend this practice and I will not be back. Edit to reply: please make no mistake. I self referred myself to a specialist. When I called your office for you to send through the referral, your dentist then suggested going to your preferred specialist. She did not initiate the referral. I did. You did call me, yes. AFTER I had left a negative review. I went back to your clinic 3 times post procedure and kept being told to “wait”. I am now 5wks post procedure and still cannot open my mouth. I appreciate you getting me seen sooner, but it hasn’t fixed my issue and I have a 2mth wait for a follow up with the hospital and MRI. I am having to pay for physio myself. Hope this helps.

Fantastic experience: We are repeat patients of this practice. I could not fault them. The whole team are so friendly, helpful and always provide us with all the information we need when we need further work done on top of our general check up and clean appointments. I couldn't recommend Dr Amir Samad & the practice enough.

I had a tooth extraction , Dr amir certainly looked after me and recovery has been great.He explained everything clearly and took the time to listen to my concerns. He showed genuine care and interest in my needs, which made a huge difference. As someone who feels nervous about dental visits, I really appreciated how he made me feel at ease. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Dr Samad is great! Very kind, caring, understanding and listens to you. He’s also done a fantastic job on the 2 fillings I needed one being rather complicated. He’s saved a tooth that others may have to me to be removed. All the staff are lovely and would highly recommend anyone to go there.

Fantastic experience: I have been looking for an ASD friendly dentist in Ipswich and Dr Amir Samad and his team come very close. They were very kind and non-judgemental, and there was no shame when you can’t keep up with a routine because of executive dysfunction. There was also no obligation to make small talk and the waiting room was quiet. To top it off, during my appointments I experienced no strong sanitizer smell, no uncomfortably surprising textures (you are informed what is happening every step of the way), Dr Amir also checks in with you frequently to make sure you're ok. And when you say it hurts, they believe you! I hadn't been to the dentist in 11 yrs, and I was able to go there 3 times - just make sure you bring your squishy ball with you (they have a tomato one if you forget). The only ASD-specific issue I had is the lighting, but that doesn't need to be addressed as I could work around that.

Fantastic experience: Dr Fatima Ali and her dental assistant were very kind and professional during my visit. Dr Ali took the time to explain everything to me and the options for my care. It is a really lovely practice - highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My wife & I had a great experience here with Fatima and her dental assistant. I am terrified of going to the dentist and felt so comfortable and understood. Things were explained in detail we could understand and the price was definitely acceptable. We have future appointments booked already!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic clinic! Dr Amir was very honest and transparent with advice and what was going on with my tooth. He relieved the pain quickly and I have re-booked with him for follow up. This clinic is fantastic, affordable & there were no hidden cost. Dr Amir is a true professional. He was honestly fast, honest and solved my issue. Dr Amir is the first dentist I feel I can trust in years. And these guys were the cheapest also. Definitely go to Dr Amir. Highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: I’ve had the best experience at a dentist here! I have some nerve damage from previous jaw surgery and I jump out of my skin when my gums or teeth in one area are cleaned. Dr Samad used topical anaesthetic and made the process so much more comfortable. He’s always very thorough and pleasant, as are his staff. I’m so glad I’ve found a great local dentist!

Fantastic experience: I visited The Dental Practice Ipswich with my daughter and the experience was great. The customer service provided by the receptionist to the Dentist Dr. Amir Samad and his assistant was outstanding. Dr. Amir, has wealth of experience and Knowledge as a Dentist. That could be seen by the service he provided. I had my teeth checked and was given competent advise. My 4 year old daughter remained calm and brave while getting her teeth checked. I was impressed. Dr. Amir and his assistant made my daughter feel comfortable and made sure she was ok through out the procedure. My daughter can't stop talking about her experiences and she looks forward to visiting The Dental Practice Ipswich soon. Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental practice in Ipswich! Dr Amir Samad is so gentle, I didn’t even feel the numbing needle go in. He did a filling on my son and my son didn’t even need a needle and he made sure my son was calm the whole time and talked him through the process and everything he was doing. He did a check up on my 3 year old daughter and it was her first and she let him count her teeth and look around. No other dentist we would trust!!

You can tell Dr Amir takes pride in his work and does a fantastic job. I was nervous about going to the dentist as I had put it off for a couple of years. I was impressed by the comprehensive check up. I had two fillings and the experience was painless, I look back now and wonder why was I worried! I will be returning here in six months time. I have no hesitation in recommending The Dental Practice Ipswich to others. The price is fair, Dr Amir takes the time to educate and moves at a calm pace. When I came out of the passer-by said "that's strange to see someone come out of a dental practice with a big smile" clearly Dr Amir is doing the job right!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. Best experience I have had to treat my chronic dental ailment. The procedure was the least painful of all of those I had so far (And I had more than many). Moreover, Dr. Amir spent a good amount of time educating me about my options to ensure I make the informed decision towards managing my dental health.

Fantastic experience: I can personally advocate for Dr Amir. My fears and concerns were immediately put at ease with his calm and experienced demeanour. This has been the most trauma free and painless experience I have ever had in a dental surgery. I would highly recommend and encourage anyone with anxiety and/ or panic attacks (like I do) to go and visit Amir. The staff who work there are fabulous and friendly as well. I honestly can't speak highly enough of this practice and the staff.
