She was very thorough with her examination and took the time to explain everything along with answering any questions I had. I’ve booked in for my regular 6 monthly check up and will continue to do so knowing I’m in safe hands at Maven Dental.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have used Maven Dental Ferny Grove for about 8 1/2 years and can't recommend them highly enough. From the receptionists right through to the dentists they are friendly and most helpful. And they listen to you when it comes to what you want in a dentist. They don't push all these unnecessary stuff they think needs to be done. Our experience has been with Dr Micky mainly and also Dr Min. Moving away from the area so hope we find someone good.

Fantastic experience: I'm still in shock at how caring, amazing, efficient and communicative this place is. Post-COVID, I feel like many public health services have gone downhill. This place is the opposite of that. I felt listened to, I knew I was in VERY good hands, and they have newer equipment on site (such as X-ray technology). They also take vouchers from the metro public dental clinic for low income people. You can tell they actually care. I was also just so happy they could identify my issue, which has otherwise been a complex nightmare (a tooth and nerve partially in my sinuses which has been causing facial pain for some time now). They explained why a specialist should do the extraction and why they could do it, but the risks that could come with this (e.g. a specialist would be able to create a barrier between the sinus cavity and the mouth, which they are unable to do which is understandable given the complexity of the extraction). They arranged the specialist for me and asked all of the questions I would have asked (cost, timing, certainty of attaining a spot within days rather than weeks) and did this with such ease that you realise what a well-oiled machine this place is. As someone else noted, there's no tooth shaming or anything like that - they genuinely care. ALL of the stuff were incredible. I'm grateful they exist. This is the dentist you're happy to go to, not a dentist to be frightened or intimidated about.

Negative experience: Been going for there for over 4 years. Have seen 3 dentist in that time. They do not respect your personal wishes instead have to repeat them every visit. Also each dentist gives conflicting advise, and one hardly speaks to you. It was close to where I live so persisted. After my last visit where I got different advise again! I gave up, and found another dentist…so happy I did should have done it years ago. This practises’ quality is similar to bulk billing doctors, except the bulk billing bit!! Never go there again

Fantastic experience: I needed a look at what I needed done, I need a little work, I don't like my teeth and some hurt. My dentist had a look at what needs to be done and explained the situation without making me feel the least bit embarrassed, for which I'm sure for some of us is partly the reason we avoid the dentist. No tooth shaming here great friendly treatment from the moment you walk in the front door. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐That's 10 stars

The pain from yesterday until now is very painful, I have never experienced pain and facial swelling like this. Now I have to go to the hospital so the doctor can help me. They pulled my tooth and pushed it too hard and they affected my next tooth. it shakes

Negative experience: My wife says that she has never been in so much pain after having her tooth extracted. The whole side of her face is very painful. She has had teeth extracted in the past and never had pain like this. She has taken a lot of pain killers and still in a lot of pain

Fantastic experience: It's hard finding a Dentist which is 1) local, 2) nice and 3) good at their job. DR MIN JEE HWANG is the best, she explains everything, provides options and really seems to care. What's better, all the staff at Maven ferny grove are also fantastic. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Negative experience: Went for a checkup and was quoted $2000 - telling me i needed all sorts of urgent work done. I waited for 2 months and got a 2nd opinion from a dentist in Eatons Hill. I was advised i dont need any work done, my teeth are fine even after checking with Xrays. I would never return to this dentist, as in the past i have had work done for $1000 plus each time in one sitting, but now i question if i really needed it. Get a second opinion!

The work they did on my 2 front teeth nearly made me cry with happiness and confidence, absolutely amazing work! It was painless and the ladies understood how scary it can be to for any aged person to see a dentist. I %100 recommended them to any one, best dental surgery ive ever visited. Fantastic experience: I used to have a phobia about dentists. Then I had an extraction done at Maven and, voila, phobia cured. This practice is simply the best I have ever been to. Clinically they are brilliant, painless and caring. They follow up the next day to make sure you're ok. After my most recent procedure last week, the dentist rang me when he wasn't even on duty to check if I was ok. They are simply the best and they don't charge like wounded bulls as some dentists do. They are always happy to discuss up front what they recommend, what it will cost; and they work to make it as affordable as possible. Honestly I can't speak highly enough of them and I would happily recommend them to anyone especially if you are a bit nervous about dental treatment as I was. Well done everyone at Maven Ferny Grove.

Fantastic experience: Best dental services I have ever encountered. I have had a few visits to this practice now for things such as extractions and a root canal. Each time the procedure was practically painless. Everyone is incredably friendly and the dentists are extremely knowledgeable, skillful and caring, even going so far as to check up on me on the weekend to make sure I was ok. Dr Harvey is very knowledgeable, honest and explains things well. The reception staff/assistants are lovely ~ always friendly and helpful. Will definitely continue to attend here.

Negative experience: NEVER going back!! I have been going there virtually since it opened and up until the last 2 visits everything was ok. But last time and just now even though I arrived 10 mins prior to my appointment time I was kept waiting for 30 mins past my appointment time. The worst part was at no stage while I was waiting did anyone come and offer an explanation as to why plus the only way I got to recieve any attention from an UNATTENDED front desk was when the phone rang and someone appeared to answer it. It's just NOT good enough Harvey you might be a professional Dentist but certainly not a good businessman.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend. I got called by the surgery and was told they had a special for $149 for a check up and clean and it was for their existing customers. Time came to pay and they charged my health fund the full price of almost $300. I went back in and asked for a please explain and the receptionist just said oh we usually do that with the health fund. They refunded the money back onto my health fund and charged the original special cost that was meant to be charged in the first place. Have had a few other dodgy experiences in the past and for me this was the final straw. I don’t want someone trying to rip me off and just being blatantly dishonest working on my mouth. I now go to Bupa Dental Paddington and all the staff are amazing!

Negative experience: Dr. Micky Saharan was very nice, however I had fillings done and she absolutely botched them and didn’t get rid of all the decay, i had to get 4 filings completely replaced by another dentist because there was decay under and around the Filing (my sister also has the same problem). Would NEVER go to this dentist again and I tell people to never go here.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be happier with my whole experience! My results are way better than expected, everyone was so lovely and understanding! Couldn’t recommend more!!

Negative experience: I recently had a crown - the temporary crown fell out 3 times. That has never happened to me before. I understand this tooth might have been different but on the third occasion Dr Mona's focus was on making it my fault. She left patches of glue around my mouth which were hard to remove and then told me 'oh, it's only a bit of glue'. On that third occasion I rang 3 times in the morning with no answer. I sent a message asking for an appointment and received no reply. Later, I asked the receptionist if they were closed that morning and she said 'oh no, we were open. I heard the phone ringing a couple of times, so I guess that was you, but I was on the line.'

Fantastic experience: Dear Ferny Grove Dental, Thank you for the professional manner in which you have conducted my bone graft, sinus lift and implant under local anaesthetic in your practice. I was able to walk out of there with only mild discomfort after a procedure I thought was only possible in theatre under general anaesthetic. This resulted saving hospital and anaesthetic costs. Fantastic experience: I came across Ferny Grove Dental while I was searching for a good dentist. I had two molars with only roots left, almost no visible tooth on the surface. I was warned that it would be a tricky procedure. Indeed it was but Dr Micky extracted these problematic teeth in a very short time and so very gently. I did not feel a thing. She explained everything in detail beforehand and checked up on me often during the procedure. I am considering getting implants soon. Dr Micky explained the grafting and implant procedure in great detail so I can prepare myself. I definitely recommend Ferny Grove Dental to everyone who is looking for a great dentist and a hygienic dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Ferny grove dental is the best dental i have ever come across. I for one im not the kind of person that likes dentist i have a fear just thinking about going to see one. I usually try and take the tooth ache until i can't bear it anymore then only i would go to a dentist. Its purely because of my past experiences.
