Fantastic experience: I have suffered from odontophobia since childhood & have visited numerous dental practices over the last fourty years. East Melbourne Dental Group is outstanding in comparison to the others. All the staff from administration, to the dentist & their supports, have always been knowledgeable, affable & caring. On every visit I’ve been given options for treatment & have never felt judged. The actual dental work, no matter how complex, is always excellent.

Fantastic experience: Thanks for your prompt service! I can’t say that dental visits are my favourite outings but travelling a distance to East Melbourne is worth the effort.

Fantastic experience: Dr Richard Bui is a superb and caring Dentist. My first appointment was after a bad fall and terrible jaw/tooth trauma. He was reassuringly skilled and knowledgeable. More importantly, he was also patient, kind and thorough. The Doctor called multiple times to follow up and worked all day to ensure I received the best care from all referred specialist. All Medical teams should be like this, but unfortunately they aren’t. The reception team are warm and experienced too. Fortunate to have found a great ongoing dentist. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I am a long standing client with East Melbourne Dental. The dentists and hygienists are absolutely second to none, thorough and complete experts in their field. I go every six months for preventative dental and it’s the best thing I can do for my teeth. A big shoutout to the administration staff who are also incredible, extremely friendly and always so welcoming.

And the actual dental staff continue the warm, calm professional welcome the reception staff provide. Benditha is wonderful and thankyou for assisting me with my health insurance app and use, way beyond me on my own.

Fantastic experience: Just had my 6-monthly routine check, Xray and clean. New dentist Neil was good - he was friendly and established rapport, before getting to business. He efficiently checked my teeth and cleaned them. Never a comfortable experience, but he was fine. Afterwards he sat me down and took me through that status of my fillings etc in the computer screen and provided advice. I would visit him again.

Fantastic experience: I’m so impressed with Dr Richard. He is caring and his professionalism is exceptional. I had a wonderful experience after seeing Dr Richard. The reception staff Alison have been very helpful. I highly recommend the practice.

Negative experience: do not come to this clinic. i took my stepdaughter here and the dentist got a drill stuck in her tongue which caused bleeding. they also do not provide air conditioning for patients and we were there on a 39 degree day and everyone in the waiting room was sweating and complaining. very uncomfortable. i repeat do not come to this clinic

Negative experience: Another Melbourne dentist that thinks it's ok to cancel your appointment the morning of, 45 mins before actually. Most likely because I was a new patient. Receptionist was unprofessional and full of hot air. Avoid, especially if you are a new customer.

Negative experience: We've been coming here since 2011. Previous management were fantastic and thorough with check ups. New management are terrible especially with children's teeth!!! Whether you're on time or early makes no difference, they have no problem making you wait from 10-15 minutes and many times 45 minutes -1 hour CONTINUOUSLY!! However if you're 5-10 minutes late, they will cancel your appointment and not bat an eye lid.

Fantastic experience: Great experience for my 7 year old daughter who needed a couple of baby teeth removed. Dr Speed and Briohny were professional and strategic in their approach to easing anxiety to lead to a successful outcome.

Negative experience: Never will I go back to this dentist. Dr. Victor Ho quoted me $300 in the chair, then when I got to the counter afterwards, the receptionist advised me that I must pay $420. He didn’t even clean my teeth. He did not advise of this price increase during my appointment, which is misleading. I simply asked to check if I needed any fillings, and he convinced me that I needed a full X-ray of my mouth - he took advantage that I wasn’t understanding of a simple process and conned me into spending an obscene amount of money on a simple routine visit. This service is incredibly disappointing and left me exiting his clinic in tears.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best experience I’ve ever had at a Dentist. If you have a phobia or just want amazing service, book yourself in here! All staff are so warm and welcoming and made me feel as comfortable as I could from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have ever been too! I recently needed a few fillings done after putting off going to the dentist for far too long. I don't know what I was so worried about as I barely felt a thing. I'd 100% recommend Dr Victor Ho, especially if you don't like going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend the dentists @ Melbourne Dental Group highly enough. I have had a lot of work done on my teeth over the past 3 years to fix some dodgy work done by a previous dentist. I regularly see Dr. Graham Cully as my go to for tricky root canals and crowns. Graham is such a lovely dentist and really went the extra step to alleviate my anxiety surrounding being in the chair, as I have some childhood trauma relating to dental work. I have also seen Dr. Natasha Swan and Dr. Ron Patel at the practice, who have really looked after me, take their time with me and been professional, clean and organised. If you are thinking about going to Melbourne Dental Group or need a dentist, look no further, you have found the perfect teams and hands to take care of all your dental needs, I highly recommend :)

He and the wonderful dental hygienist, Luul, gave me such a thorough treatment and plan - there are immediate improvements. I strongly recommend for pregnant women wanting/needing a check-up (and super affordable, especially if you're with Bupa).

Fantastic experience: Dr Torsten Lekander was the best dentist I've ever been to - as a hospital worker I've spent the last decade moving almost every year, so I've sampled lots of dentists in that time. I went to East Melbourne Dental Group after reading all the other 5-star reviews, and I have to say they're accurate. Every step of the check up Torsten took the time to explain what he was doing and why each thing was necessary, then making it clear the path forward was my choice. Most refreshing to go to a dentist who asked me if I'd like X-rays done (after explaining why he wanted them), rather than other places just doing them without any discussion. Thank you East Melbourne Dental Group - I'll be back!

Fantastic experience: My experience with East Melbourne Dental has been a pleasure from day 1. Having moved to the area recently was looking for a new dentist as was never entirely comfortable with visits to my previous dentist. It had got to the stage where I needed to get quite a lot of work done and am so happy with the way a plan of treatment according to urgency and budget was drawn up making what almost seemed like an overwhelming problem finally achievable.

Fantastic experience: Treated my boyfriend who had his top wisdom tooth extracted. Affordable service, follow up call was a nice gesture and staff were very helpful and efficient.

My husband first took me to see Dr Culy over fifteen years ago because I had been too scared to keep a dental appointment. Dr Culy new exactly how to help me get over my phobia of visiting the dentist, he was patient and caring, and he used a magic wand that made injections painless! We now take our two children to Dr Culy and his team. We feel so fortunate that our children will grow up enjoying their experience at the dentist. Over the years I have recommend several family members to see Dr Culy and they all have walked away feeling 100% satisfied with their experience.

I now see Dr Ron Patel and he's amazing - my smile looks the best it ever has, and my teeth are in incredible condition, thanks to his stellar work! Ladies and gentleman, he also does botox! Highly Recommend for even the most cautious of clients.

Always a warm and friendly place to be (which helps calm the nerves!) Grahame is the best, his professionalism and knowledge is second to none. I have always wanted to straighten my teeth but could never afford the $$$ for braces but finally at 34 I am getting a smile that I can be proud of. Grahame and the team worked out a fantastic way to straighten my teeth that costs 1/4 of the price of braces using the "Inman" aligner system. (Much nicer being able to take the brace out to eat too, highly recommended for adults wanting to straighten their teeth with out the train track look! you can hardly tell you are wearing them) Thank you Grahame, Briohny & The team at East Melbourne Dental for making me feel good about my smile!

Fantastic experience: Ron is my favourite dentist that I have tried so far, and I scoured the suburbs of Sydney & Melbourne in search of someone excellent. Five years ago (in Sydney) I would have assumed that an MBF/BUPA registered provider would be high quality, but this simply was not the case. I had a nightmare run originally, everything from unnecessary X-rays (done 2 weeks prior) to recommendations for more amalgam fillings (I was trying to get rid of the ones I already had!) to spitting into a plastic cup because there was NO BASIN beside the chair! That's not even the worst of it btw. In contrast, Ron is an angel! He is always friendly, professional & genuinely caring- you can tell he actually likes people- AND he's really funny, which takes the fear of god out of me (I was traumatised after the other dentists, ok?) plus with the BUPA rebates pricing is VERY reasonable. I highly, HIGHLY recommend East Melbourne Dental- they are exceptional! Best dental work I've had done also- fillings, clean etc. without any add-ons. Yup.

Fantastic experience: It had been over 10 years since I had last visited a dentist. Needless to say, I required some major cleaning. Even worse, I needed to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed to stop a low grade infection. Thankfully, my partner encouraged me to visit Graham and his team at East Melbourne Dental Group. Despite being extremely nervous about what was to come, I booked an appointment and took a leap of faith. Dentistry has obviously come a long way. The whole procedure was completely pain free, thanks to the anesthetic wand that they use. Great service and friendly staff, made it a breeze. I would highly recommend this business, especially to those fearful of the dentist.

I feel minimal disconfort when I have my dental visits and I do not have "dentist anxiety" .
