Negative experience: I’m sharing my terrible experience took my dad there after having a phone consultation the dentist Elias Matthew sounded easy going and I was completely wrong . He did the job and after that quoted that all the teeth are gonna fall off and so will mine randomly I’m 28 . Makes no sense had a clean 6 months ago my teeth are fine told me it’s definitely 10 years plus not possible . I don’t know who this man is to speak so rude and to also say to “ not ask so many questions “ after all that is his job and I only asked 2 questions in a 1 and a half hour period . That’s not a lot of questions .

Fantastic experience: Great dentist, been coming here for almost 10 years and Dr Elias has always been very informative and patient. Been to about 6-7 dentists in the past and none have been as thorough as Dr Elias with any procedure. Had my braces, a couple of in-chair surgeries and regularly come in for cleans, wouldn't even try going anywhere else. Side Note: literally the only place that cleans my teeth properly. All the others I've gone to, still come out with stains etc. That's not normal folks!

Fantastic experience: I was shopping around for Invisalign quote when a friend recommended me Dr. Elias - and I could not thank my friend enough. I find Dr.Elias very down to earth, and not commercialised like other dentists in flashy clinics that I have been to. He charges a very reasonable price for Invisalign compare to other dentists, and only does dental treatments that are necessary. He always takes the time to explain to me what’s going on and never rushes me to make decision. Fast forward 13months later, my teeth never looked this good and I am very satisfied with my Invisalign result. I am very happy with Dr.Elias and now my whole family also see him for our regular checkups, eventhough we live on the other side of the town. I highly recommend Dr.Elias to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I found this fantastic dentist! Dr Mathew Elias took me in late on a Saturday afternoon when I was in a world of pain and no other dental practice would take me. He gently and skilfully repaired the damage and alleviated my pain. What a relief! Very grateful. Ever since that emergency appointment I'm a proud patient of this practice. At every appointment Dr Elias takes the time to clearly explain * the work that was done last visit * the general state of my dentition now * the treatment he believes ideally should be done in this consult and what can wait till 6 months' time At the end of every appointment Dr Elias teaches me how to manage my teeth and gum health between visits (far better than my previous dentist who never explained anything and charged me for things I never understood). Dr Elias is very patient with me, never rushes me and never charges me for unnecessary treatment. When you're in the chair you just know he is clinically excellent, super skilful and he cares to ask every so often if you're okay. His rates are entirely reasonable and frankly he is worth every cent and more. His dental nurse and practice manager are equally exceptional and together make my "trip to the dentist" a very pleasant one. My Mum, aunts and cousins all come to this practice now and are also extremely happy with Dr Mathew Elias. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a gentle, caring dentist.

Negative experience: Not happy with service will not use again in pain for months. Dishonest did not reply to emails until I said I would take this further never tried to rectify problem and quote was completely different to invoice price SCAMM! overpriced filling and tooth now needs rectification root canal.

Negative experience: I would like to share my bad experience I’ve had with dr elias at smile confidential. Around three months ago I had walked into this practice for a filling Upon xrays elias said sure no problem we’ll get this sorted you could clearly see that the decay of my tooth was not near any nerve. I requested x rays after the job was completed to see how the job went. Didn’t think much at the time but it did look like my tooth was over drilled and filled. I was disappointed as I was told a price for repair and was not the case when it was completed. not once during the session did elias say this is an additional Cost. Not only was this my dentist for 5/6 years every job was sloppy many times coming back to get adjustments like fillings were too high and needed to be sanded again. I contacted elias via email regarding the issues and pain no email back I contacted once again and said that I was disappointed in ur services I want a refund amount of $320 for a filling my tooth is still sore and I have tried to be in contact with you and no reply so I had no choice to go to another dentist I received a long email pretty much trying to deny everything and that he’s told me before that I needed a root canal before starting it. This was all incorrect and trying to cover himself as I said we will sort this out at NCAT Goes to show never 100% trust online reviews Do not use this dentist unless you don't care about your teeth.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist. Made time to show me reference pix he took of a couple of potential problems. Gave well-balanced advice about dealing with old amalgam fillings. A very positive contrast with another dentist in a nearby suburb who works for a for-profit health insurance chain. That other dentist definitely had an agenda of making a quota of billings for the day - subtly pressured me to have a couple of amalgam fillings replaced the same day (which I didn't do). Dr Elias said that both could safely be left to see how they go - might last another five years or only five months, but no rush. Due to discounting through Dr Elias participation in the SmileConfidental network, with which my health fund is associated, the fee after benefits and discount was very modest (even though I have a relatively low level of extras insurance cover). Highly recommended on all counts.
