Fantastic experience: Took my kids and I to this modern conveniently located Box Hill practice recently and all the staff were amazing. The Dentist clearly outlined what was needed to be done now and what could wait for another time. I’ll be coming back here for sure. Dec 2025…again took the family and received fantastic treatment from the whole team including Nrye and Jem, Nicole and the lovely Dr Jason Tan. Would recommend to all looking for a decent dentist in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending National Dental Care Box Hill for over 10 years and have always had a great experience. The reception staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, especially over the phone. My dentist, Jason Tan, is always kind, professional, and reassuring. He has a great way of making you feel comfortable and genuinely remembers our conversations from previous visits, which really shows how much he cares about his patients. The dental assistants that work closely with Jason are also great and ensure the visits run smoothly. I don’t normally write reviews but feel I needed to with great service.

Positive experience: Havent been to a dentist for a few yrs went to NDC Boxhill and had to have 8 fillings 6 on one side and 2 on the other, i knew i needed work, but the lady that did the work was amazing explained everything and made the journey easy she was fantastic only 1 draw back $$$ but that is what it is!

Fantastic experience: I have been a user of the National Dental Care Box Hill for a number of years now. Even though there are other clinics closer to where I live, I would not go anywhere else. All the interactions I have had be they via telephone or face to face have been of the highest standard of client service. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and etxremely helpful. The dentists I have seen , have been wonderful with their advice and their treatment. I am very thankful to have found such excellent an provider for my dental care. I recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service. I mucked up the time and was on the way when I got a call asking where I was as I had misread the time. Reception was able to book me in one hour later , albeit with different dentist whizh was fine. It was much appreciated. I also liked that the main phone number was answered by the site itself /box hill and not by a central service. This made for a more personalised and efficient service for me. Thanks

Fantastic experience: Ive been coming to this clinic for about 5 years now and I always feel really looked after. Even though my visits aren't super frequent they remember me and my dental history. I also appreciate how supportive and conscious they are about my financial situation.

Fantastic experience: A refreshing experience from my past visits to different dentists. Usually the first question they ask is do you have private health insurance. NDC Box Hill were more interested in addressing my issues and they did this very well. I didn't feel rushed and the thoroughness of the examination surprised me. I think I have found a permanent dental care place I can trust.

Dr Jason Tan removed my split tooth with such precision and care that I didn't even need to take any pain killers after the anaesthetic wore off. He is honest, knowledgeable and very skilled at his work. I will be recommending him to my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: For years I had a fear of going to the dentist after a few bad experiences as a kid. I started visiting the team here about 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. They understood my problem and made me feel welcome. Importantly, I am able to get pain-free treatment for the first time in years. Karam has been great explaining things and the team accepts my Assistance Dog without issue.

Negative experience: I have had several treatments done here. Only one of the dentists I've seen I would consider friendly. The others are all quite disengaged. Whitening treatment was expensive and didn't last longer than a few days. Routine fillings and scale and clean are fine. Nothing different than what you'd get anywhere. Today I was given an extremely painful injection that felt like my face was on fire. I objected as soon as I felt the pain and was told to just sit tight while she finished it. She must have hit the nerve. My eyelid, epiglottis and top palate immediately went completely numb on the left side but the treatment was for the bottom tooth. Not willing to go through that again, she was able to do the whole thing without my bottom tooth being numb at all. So the injection wasn't even necessary. The tooth feels filled down well below the shape of the tooth on the other side. Incredibly displeased with the treatment and the remedy for it (would you like some water?). Will avoid this particular dentist in future. Go elsewhere for your family dentistry, though this one is fine if it's all you can get into.

Fantastic experience: Very professional service with friendly staff and I love that I don't have to pay anything for simple checkups when I'm with Australian Unity.

Negative experience: Awful. Dentist broke a file in my tooth when doing a root canal. I subsequently found out they have a policy of not referring complex procedures to specialists in the first instance. I was in AGONY for a week until I was finally able to see a specialist.

Negative experience: Don't be Fooled !!! Be warned these 'Australian Unity Dental Clinics' are actually a separate private business that actually pays a licence fee to use the name 'Australian Unity'. I always go there for a check up and a clean which is free and that part of the service is okay but okay only, these check ups and cleans really feel a little rushed , I have been to other Family Dentists over the years and having used other Dental Hygienists I would classify the services offered here at the Box Hill Australian Unity Dental Centre as a little generic. The most important aspect to be aware of is the price they charge for the dental services , do your research before booking services at any of these clinics because you'll find in most cases the starting price for most services is already higher than your local family owned dentist that probably has several years of practice so when you claim your gap through Australian Unity you'll most likely end up paying more at one of these clinics than an established local Dentist.
