Fantastic experience: I don't fare well at all on a dentist seat but I felt extremely well cared for finding these guys. Had an initial review with Dr Michelle, and a later extraction with Dr Sasha - both doctors felt highly proficient, experienced, and warm - with a team that cared for me very well behind them. Would love to vouch for both doctors & team.

Fantastic experience: Very satisfied with my overall experience. Calming atmosphere with friendly staff. Treatment was carried out with consideration to my sensitive teeth. Would definitely come back regularly.

Negative experience: I'd give zero stars if it was an option. I showed up for my first appointment and a regular customer was put in front me for a non urgent procedure, even though I explained that I had somewhere to be. The length of time I had to wait continued to increase with no explanation. Sadly I can't comment on the actual dentistry because the service and experience were so poor that I just left the premesis. That isn't how you conduct business - absolutely outrageous

Fantastic experience: YES YES YES - This is the only dental practice to go to (and I have been a patient of the amazing Dr Sasha Rutnam for over 12 years). First class technology - no need to wait with a temporary crown - they have the equipment to produce this on the spot. Dr Rutnam and Mayes AL-Ghazi (Practice Manager) and team are so very caring, friendly, supportive and understanding. They listen and take their time with you and explain everything in easy to understand detail. Furthermore, they are conscious of the cost of dental procedures and go above and beyond to work within your budget. 100% recommend Dr Rutnam and her team.

Fantastic experience: The service from Mase, Sasha and her team is outstanding. I had a small issue with my Invisalign and they sorted it without hesitation. If I could give more stars for service I would.

Fantastic experience: Mayes was really persistent in helping us to get a rebate from our health insurance company when they told us ‘no’ twice due to my late submission of the receipt. I am thrilled with Mayes’ help as it was a complicated process requiring her to write two letters and this certainly was above and beyond what was required. Dr Sasha has completed exceptionally thorough and orthodontic treatment for two of children with outstanding results. Nino has delivered very competent and thorough dental treatment for my third child. My children are always happy to go to the dentist!

Positive experience: quick and efficient for check up and cleaning. couldnt do X-ray's because computer wouldnt start properly.

Negative experience: Very unpleasant experience with Sasha. I went there to do a simple cleanup, the dentist didn’t spend enough time to remove the stains, the assistant who barely spoke English put a bunch of Flouride on my teeth using a cotton swab, it did not cover all my teeth but gave me a terrible sense of nausea for hours. Dentist was focused on finding issues with my teeth and possible future visits instead of doing a proper treatment. Very disappointed, will try a different medibank provider for my next appointment.

Negative experience: I had a very unpleasant experience at this place last year when my daughter had an abscess in her milk tooth. One of the young dentists at the center was her primary dentist. She attempted to numb my daughter's tooth four times. Since this was my daughter's first experience with a numbing injection, it was quite challenging for her. Unfortunately, the dentist was unable to provide the necessary treatment for my daughter's tooth and ended up referring us to a specialist and a hospital for the use of nitrous oxide (happy gas). If the dentist had prescribed antibiotics and allowed some time for my daughter's condition to improve, it might have resulted in a better outcome during her next visit, making a simple injection sufficient. This would have saved us from a long and expensive process involving a specialist and a hospital.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sasha Rutnam is by far the best dentist I've experienced. As are all the dental technicians at the clinic - I think she has a knack for picking the best. Her technique and diagnostic expertise is superior to every other dentist I've been to. The equipment in the clinic is state of the art, and also superior to other dental practices. So, despite not being local to her any longer, I choose to travel to see her. As does my family.

Positive experience: The dentist was great but the process can be improved. It was good they quoted before treatment, but only after I questioned the price they said my health fund is eligible for a discount. I could have been charged a lot more if I didn’t ask.

Negative experience: Similar to what so many other people shared here. The dental assistants and receptionists are always lovely though The dentists did X-rays and additional treatments at their own will without even explaining to me. I went there for one particular issue, ended up doing separate x-rays for a half dozen of my teeth, a couple of additional treatments and no single word out of the dentist's month explaining what it is she's doing and why! lets not talk about the $700 bill for the 'initial consultation' session!

Negative experience: so ridiculous that they try to charge cancellation fee when we cannot make the appointment and inform them.

Fantastic experience: Sasha is the most amazing dentist, she organised my Invisalign and it only took 10 months total to get a new amazing smile! I used to dread the dentist but not anymore. She’s so kind and friendly and so is the rest of the team, could not recommend them enough!

Negative experience: The dentists here will always add on X-rays or push other treatments on you without confirming with you that you want them first. I would really appreciate it if the staff could be more transparent with what treatments you actually need. The dental assistants and receptionists are always lovely though Edit: I do not care if I was charged or not, the point is that the Dr never asked for confirmation on whether I wanted the X-Ray or not. If I had kept my mouth shut and not enquired about whether the X-Ray cost extra afterwards then I would have been charged for it. Now mind you, this is after I told the Dr multiple times that I'm only here for a clean and do not have any other enquiries/want to have anything else done. The Dr also didn't acknowledge that he had made a mistake afterwards and completely ignored me as I left. Although you say that your Drs go through treatment plans and costs with patients, that is not the case at all. The Dr did not go through any of that with me, so clearly there seems to be a communication issue going on between the managers and the Drs.

Negative experience: Booked an emergency appointment - I booked a few hours before my appointment so I’m not sure if that’s why I had issues. I arrived at 08:45 for a 09:00 appointment, waited for half an hour and tried to call multiple times - there was no one at the centre at all. Opening times state they open at 08:30 - maybe this needs to be changed.

Negative experience: Disgustingly gross overcharging for something I didn't need or ask for. 5 minutes cost me $366 and all they did was send me to another dentist!! Seriously, I will be reporting you to the Dental Code of Conduct & Ethics Board for investigation and review.

Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable staff and very friendly. The health fund I with provides North Shore Dentistry as a preferred provider so I am covered for a lot of services they offer which also fantastic. I strongly recommend this practice if you are looking for optimal teeth health.

Fantastic experience: Visited as a new patient under DR KEVIN WIJAYA. I knew I had a couple of teeth that needed work and from the moment I sat down I was confident that Kevin would do a fantastic job. He has a very empathetic and reassuring persona, clearly communicating what he saw, treatment options and costs. I went back to have a half crown put in and was very impressed by his diligence and communication. I prefer to know what is happening, but there is also the option to wear headphones and watch Netflix. A very comfortable procedure with an excellent aesthetic outcome, and NO pain! Thank you very much Kevin, I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment. I didn't catch the assistant s name, but she also provided great customer service.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth break and called up for an appointment this morning. They were amazing to fit me in today at short notice. As an anxious dentist patient, I was blown away by the care taken to help me through the procedure. I was so grateful! I never review services, but Dr Sasha Rutnam and her team absolutely deserve 5++ stars.

Negative experience: To provide a star rating would do a potential client an injustice. While the service was positive to start with (before they did any work or received payment) this is where any positive interaction finished. I spent more time and money fixing the problems post treatment and chasing them for answers and any rectification than at all reasonable - worse still nothing was actually done and they didn't recognise there was any issue even when provided with the evidence. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had cracked a tooth or a filling and needed assistance. With remarkable technology which I had not seen before, Dr Rutnam was able to show me in great detail what the issue was - indeed it was a cracked tooth but it was also a tooth that had been filled 2 or 3 times before. The team at North Shore Dentistry was able to give me the alternatives for treatment that I had, the cost of each of the treatments and also find out how much I would be able to get back from my health insurance provider. The treatment I chose was just a filling but Dr Rutnam was able to complete it quickly, easily and, importantly for me, with absolutely no pain. My first treatment at North Shore Dentistry was an excellent experience and I will be going back.

Fantastic experience: We’re really pleased with the service Sasha and her lovely team have given our family over many years. We’ve been especially grateful for their recent recommendation and advice regarding our teenage son’s Invisalign braces, which have been just brilliant at realigning his teeth. The program for him was really quick and the aligners were pretty much pain free to wear and, crucially for him, unnoticeable. For his parents, the fact they were also slightly less expensive than traditional braces made our decision a no-brainer.
