Dr Liew thoroughly outlined several treatment options for my condition. He patiently explained the pros and cons for each option and provided clear clinical recommendations. The outcome turned out to be excellent because of his expertise. The dental nurse and other staff are also friendly and bring such positive energy to my visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr Richa was incredibly thorough and professional. For someone like me who has had previous traumatic experiences with other dentists she made me feel comfortable and gave me some exceptional strategies to improve my oral health. Thank you, ill be back!

Negative experience: The staff there is super friendly however Dr MJ Yoo, despite of being friendly, does not seem overly professional. I have a severe case of swelling in the gum, which has been 3 days (so not early stage) and she opted to do a deep clean on the 2nd day, which already is a risky move upon later research, which only helped drain swelling from one side, which is coming back immediately just on the 2nd day. What she did potentially exacerbated the inflammation, and she rejected my ask for Nurofen Plus to ease the pain when it has kept me up for 2 nights already. Finally this morning after suffering another night of pain, she prescribed 20 Nurofen plus capsules (a box is usually 30), again being super safe, as one could take 8 tablets a day, meaning I only get just little over 2 days worth of pain relief, which is obviously insufficient at this rate. She also rejected my ask of metronidazole, despite worsening conditions this morning after her procedure. MetronidazoleI is commonly taken as dual action with Amoxicillin, especially for severe cases like mine, but can be left out if it’s a mild case, which is obviously not what she saw I’m experiencing. This is overly cautious and unprofessional. I would never recommend Dr MJ Yoo to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The ladies in Chatswood Bupa Clinic were accommodating . The dentist Dr. Mai Tran was extra nice and patient in educating me about my teeth. She also deep cleaned it and fixed a tooth fill that I recently got from another dentist but was not giving me positive feeling. She’s a heaven sent.

Fantastic experience: Doctor David in Bupa Chatswood is the best doctor one can even dream of! I thank my luck that I got to him the first time last year, it was a major work including tooth extraction and implant afterwards, and i was very unsure and scared of the whole thing. It all went as smoothly as possible, I never had any pain or complications, and doctor is very attentive, thorough and very confident and reassuring. He did amazing job, and the implant set up as it was there forever and is my own natural tooth! He also restored one of my other teeth that I thought hopeless and was preparing to lose, as other doctors told me there was no way to fix it...turned out, it was possible to keep with the right doctor! Not only I would ever think now of going to any other dr, but also strongly recommend Dr David to any of my close family and friends!

I recently needed a large filling repaired and Dr. Vikneson did an amazing job, discussing various options with the nuance that comes from familiarity with case history, and recommending the best approach. Executed the repair with care and empathy, all totally painless. Thank you to the whole team.

Negative experience: My appointment at 7:50 AM was canceled without any notice. The receptionist, Roda, was quite rude and even threw her phone down without offering an apology. It seems she lacks the necessary customer service skills and does not demonstrate a genuine concern for customers. Personality she gad a bad attitude. Poor service, Poor skilled staff. She should not sit in front.

I was treated by Dr.MJ, she was inviting,caring, thorough ,very professional and every step she has put me at total ease!! She was on another level. I'm super happy with her. Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. FILLING FELL OUT AFTER TWO DAYS AND I WAS LEFT WITH A HUGE HOLE IN MY MOUTH. TANYA THE RECEPTIONIST WAS INCREDIBLY RUDE. My experience is detailed below: On 23rd December MJ at Chatswood Bupa dental put a filling into my tooth. The dental nurse kept making mistakes, causing delays and discomfort and the dentist was pulling her up on them. On 25th December two days later my entire filling fell out of my mouth and I was left with a huge hole that is open to infection and is incredibly painful. On 25th December I wrote to Bupa Chatswood to make a complaint about my filling falling out and requesting it be fixed. I didn’t hear back. On 28th December I called Bupa Chatswood and left a message of complaint and to say I needed the filling fixing. Today 29th December at 8.57am this morning I was called by a receptionist called Tanya at Chatswood Bupa Dental practice offering me an appointment at 11:40am to come in and have it fixed. At 11:00am I received a call from Tanya cancelling my 11:40 appointment and telling me I would have to come in the next day or I would be charged for the service as the dentist that fixed my tooth was not in. I explained that I had already travelled 45 minutes to Chatswood from my home for the 11:40 appointment she’d booked me in for, that I was in pain and that I need it fixed. I also explained that I could not come in tomorrow because I have my daughter. I also explained that I am in a difficult financial position and that I had paid travel fare to get here. She became rude and told me that if I wanted to come in today I would have to pay. I said “No, you (Bupa) provided a faulty service, I am in pain and I need it fixing.) Tanya said “Well I didn’t provide the faulty service, the dentist did). I said “You are the receptionist who represents the brand.” Tanya said “Well you don’t want to pay for it so there’s not much I can do, I’ve given you options.” I said “No, you have not provided me with a solution, I need it fixing today as you promised. I said that this short notice of cancellation is not acceptable.” She said “I don’t know what’s going on in your life but you shouldn’t be taking it out on me.” It was completely and utterly unprofessional. I said “You offered me the appointment, I have fulfilled my commitment to come to it and you are cancelling short notice and expecting me to be charged.” At which point she said I would have been charged anyway to have it fixed! This does not seem correct. The filling fell out 2 days after the dentist did the work and therefore was clearly not done properly I.e. provided a service that was faulty. How can I be expected to be charged twice because the first filling was not done correctly. This experience caused me to lose trust in Bupa Dental Chatswood and I made the decision at that point to get the work done elsewhere and said please issue me with a full refund “Tanya said I can’t do that for you and the practice manager is not back until next week and that it is discretionary!!” I said I would be escalating the complaint and Tanya said “Well you won’t get very far with that.” And hung up the phone. I burst into tears after the call. Never in my life have I received such rude, poor treatment and customer service. It has put me off ever visiting a Bupa dental practice again.

Fantastic experience: I have Bupa insurance and got an email on Bupa Dental inclusion for teeth cleaning and basic dental cover. Booked my appointment for cleaning, cavity filling and general check. My dentist was Dr Dhivya Vikneson, who was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Everything was completed in 30-40 mins, it was professional, on time and great work done. You are in good hands (technically) with Dr Dhivya who did a great job.

Fantastic experience: I've visited Bupa Chatswood 7 times over the last 2 years and have always had a positive experience; friendly and courteous team, thoroughly describe procedures beforehand, followed up after treatment, helped with ongoing dental care. Having been to numerous dentists over the last 60 years they are certainly the best I have experienced so Thank You Dr Kasey and Dr David!

Negative experience: Dishonest through and through and disgusting!! Tanya (receptionist) printed out a balance owing $1,240.50 statement (see my photo) then proceeded asking me to pay $1,300. When I asked why I should pay $1,300 when I have an invoice for $1,240.50, she then said ‘that what I was told’, ‘why are you arguing with me’? She then accused me of having an argument with them EVERY TIME I got there. I am beyond baffled!! How could someone just lie like that? There’s another lady at the reception and I hope there’s CCTV so that management can review the footage and figure out what’s wrong with her.

Negative experience: The worst service I've had in Australia. The dentist is not well trained. I explained to the dentist that I see a big dark decay and would like to have this fixed, before I sat down. The dentist (better to hide her name) directly let me lie down and took 2 x-rays with one x ray blurred, and started with whole teeth cleaning... But I had teeth cleaning 2 months ago! I stopped her in the midway, and feeling so hurtful of teeth gum, and I tasted blood in my mouth for quite a while! She did very brutal cleaning. I was so confused and further explained with her---I just would like fix the decay. She thought I was a new patient that should do check-up and cleaning... Wordless. The ridiculous thing is, both of us saw the obvious black decay, but the dentist told me No Need to do a filling, and she just let me go back home to monitor another 6-months. I visited another dentist at St Leonards today and he showed me the photos inside the decay--big, wide, which needs filling urgently, and he fixed it perfectly. Not recommend Bupa Dental Chatswood if you care about your dental health.

Negative experience: Friendly and nice receptionists and dentists. I've been going there for a few years but noticed the service level has deteriorated significantly. The regular semi-annual dental checkups and clean were rushed within 20 minutes, and felt like an assembly line. For example, the scaling of plaque and tartar removal was rushed and mainly on the bottom teeth and hardly the top. The electric brush polishing was fine, but they didn't follow with the flouride treatment mousse. I thought it was due to the dentist but after having gone through three dentists in 18 months here, it was consistent and confirmed to me that this Bupa Dental practice (or could be Bupa-wide corporate push) has become overly commercial and applying shortcuts to squeeze in as many patients rather than providing full dutiful care and service. Never go here again.

Positive experience: As old customer who came back to visit this dental practice recently I have to say the quality of services has improved, especially the quality of the doctors and dental professionals. I like Dr. Kasey though she's super busy with her schedule except for regular check-up booked from 6 months ago. Recently I did emergency procedure to replace an old filling and I got a new Doctor Austin Wu and he's great also though he seems young. He explained the procedure quite clearly and suggested alternative long-term solution to consider. The procedure was done quickly and with not much trouble. I should give 5 stars to the practice, except I sensed lots of confusion and mistakes / errors with the booking system and front-end receptionist services. This area of the business needs to be improved to provide real 5-stars service to customers.

Negative experience: Work ethics isn't the best in my view. Whilst bupa insurance covers the costs, a simple clean up and check up procedures ended up costing more than $300 leaving you less insurance benefit to enjoy for the remaining year. Examples like if the x rays were not taken properly the first time and had to re-do it, this should not be charged again at customer's costs. Even after the check up that all is clear no problem, they asked if another x-ray can be taken which they'll charge you again for the sake of it. Unnecessary testing to see if your tooth can feel anything whilst you already told them you feel sensitive in one tooth. Of course, another fee is charged for that. Seems like they're really attempting to find ways to charge more. Again, even though my Bupa insurance has covered it off, a bit disappointed in the work ethics.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr Kasey. I needed to have an emergency crown two weeks ago and Dr Kasey was the most caring dentist I have ever been to. She was great at explaining the procedure, understanding of my anxiety of the dentist and had me out the door from start to finish within 1.5 hours without feeling any pain or discomfort. On top of that, she had great empathy and was incredibly kind. The surgery also has the latest technology and very friendly receptionists.

Negative experience: I went to this practice due to my existing Bupa insurance plan, thinking I would be getting a premium service. The dentist was cold and gave me a judgemental look on the first visit and the rest of the procedure was as perfunctory as it could possibly get. No apology was offered when randoms were walking into the room in the middle of the procedure in my most vulnerable position and when it became painful and uncomfortable, no breaks or care for my welfare was offered, as I was probably in the way of their next customer. Pretty much the most disgraceful and unprofessional dental practice in town.

Fantastic experience: All smiles! The dentists are the friendliest dentist I’ve ever met (they’ll teach a 29 year old how to floss). The staff are all lovely and clearly make the most of their jobs, very happy place and well organised. Recommended!!

Fantastic experience: I have been avoiding the dentist for years due to some terrible experiences with Gov clinics when I was young. Dr Kasey has been amazing, had lots of work done but it has been painless and she couldn’t have been better for a long time dentaphobe. Her sense of humour is questionable and I prefer the sound of the drill to her singing, but if you want a trustworthy dentist, she’s the one... Thanks Kasey!

Fantastic experience: If you are new to going to see a Dentist here, please request Mark, he takes his time and is so thorough. He only works certain days but you can be guaranteed a good job if you see him. Thanks so much again, Mark! It takes me about an hour to get over to see him each time but I won’t go and see anyone else. Also notable mention to the friendly staff!

Negative experience: Great service. Disappointing rebate. Service and customer care was great. Very friendly, helpful staff and a great dentist. Disappointingly, as a top-tier Bupa extras customer, the gap for a basic checkup, clean and x-ray was very high, particularly given that they are a Bupa dental clinic. Is it too much to expect competitive rates from a Bupa dentist given that I am a top-tier Bupa insurance customer? Surely it is not unreasonable to expect the highest rebate from an insurance providers own dental service. After this experience, I shall rethink my health insurance provider and dental practice.
